  1. use the DivX Player you get with the latest DivX codec download - I use it for everything and it rocks!
  2. ah haven't actually 100% completed the project yet - and haven't driven it. Still sorting out a few teething problems, but should have her on the road tomorrow. But have had it running and it purrs
  3. sorry I missed it - looked like an unbelievable cruise .... good news is I got the new turbo and other bits and pieces on the R34
  4. no worries buddy - just trying to spread the love .... plus I would hate you to be driving down the road and one of your wheels takes off past you because the weld broke
  5. I have an air box for sale if Stan doesn't - what is your $$$ offer?
  6. boy there must be a lot of those Circlar wheels around - I have them and I know of at least 3 other guys with in just Adelaide .... FYI if you don't get yours taken back to bare metal, rust-proofed and repainted soon they will degrade beyond repair - a mate from ROH Wheels did mine for me, and said mine were months away from rust disintegration on the welds. I did dome "S" Skyline stickers to ove rthe centres and I think they look good
  7. nope, Nissan is about the only place you will find the correct items. I went through this with my S15
  8. Just a few bits and pieces Duc - you will see soon enough! (Turbo etc .... ) Huge shouts out to Whiplash for coming over all day today to help me - and he'll be back tomorrow - must have liked the beer
  9. yeah glad you're back Duc - feel free to drop by tomorrow if you have time - am putting a few goodies on my car
  10. yeah but the big issue it won't be tuned - hardly good to take it 250km of thrashing with an untuned turbo .... but it is not just turbo - try turbo, radiator, oil cooler, trans cooler, radiator breather, oil breather, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator - and various other bits and pieces
  11. sorry guys I have to pull out .... this is the only spare weekend I have to do things to my car, so on goes the new turbo and other bits .... have fun anyhow!
  12. haha was just stirring you Nick .... but feel free to come over if you have nothing better to do. I have lots of little fiddly jobs to do too like the oil breather tank/kit, and the radiator breather/air remover kit to fit too. Not hard jobs, but time consuming and fiddly.
  13. Luke, it's my brother-in-laws ex-turbo. His R33 kind of died (see attached pics - stationary at the lights and some noob hit him from behind at 60km/h and pushed him into the car in front even though he as hard on the brankes) about a month back. He bought it second hand, but it has no shaft play and he was running 240rwkw with a conservative tune and relatively low boost. Yeah it's going to suck to miss the cruise, but I have been wanting to get this gear on my car for ages and this weekend seems like my only free time. There will always be another cruise. fyi David has just bought a Silver 1997 S3 R33GTR from Melbourne - damn it is a sweet car!!!
  14. no worries Darren .... yeah I am not after anything too spectacular - will be happy with around 230-240rwkw if all goes to plan. I won't have a PowerFC running it (since it is an auto) which is a bit of a shame, but we will see what the SAFCII can do. Has anyone fitted a fuel pump and fuel reg. before? I haven't, but am gonna give it a shot. If I remember correctly when I played with my S15's 040, the pump still had tons of fuel pressure in it even when the battery was disconnected. I am not sure how to get around this. lol Nick - so you work at a car retailer, yet are useless mechanically? Nice one!
  15. yeah it's a fair bit of stuffing around (too me around 12 hours all up believe it or not - planning, pulling the car apart, metal fabrication, fitting, soldering/wiring, carbon covering, put the car back together), but well worth it in the end. Not bad for a first attempt I reckon. Looks like this weekend is the mod-a-thon for my R34 if anyone want to come over and help/play/watch .... GT2530 turbo install, new radiator, new oil cooler, new trans cooler, new thermo fan and other bits and pieces.
  16. fyi if these are indeed Koya Drift Teks (which they seem to be) then Jack Baker Tyrepower sells them in bronze 17" (note this group buy is for 18" and in various colours) for around $1,000 wheels only or $1,700 with tyres ..... just letting everyone know http://www.adelaidetyrepower.com/wheels%20...RIFT%20TEK.html
  17. they look like Koya Drift Tek's .... sweet rim!
  18. yes, real carbon fibre would be nice! There is a mob in the Eastern states somewhere that can paint items to look and feel like carbon fibre, but from memory they were up to $100 per trim piece. Since I am going to do the whole vertical centre console, plus the power window surround thingo, it is too much $$$. I will try different techniques with the carbon contact and see how it goes.
  19. yeah Joel it is is just the $40 per roll carbon fibre contact style stuff from Autobarn. I actually wrapped it around the edges and stuck in under the trim, but will re-do it with the edged trimmed to the edge of the trim rather than folding under - I am sure it will look better that way, and be less prone to bubbles and ripples like it has now.
  20. hahahahahaha beat me to it Thanks Brenton and Pauly, the Hybrid won't actually add any power, it will just make boost come on earlier, stronger and more controlled. I have also bought an HKS actuator which I will fit with my new turbo that will aid this also.
  21. sounds like Andy bought your mate's R34 off LS1 Chops .... fits the profile
  22. Thanks guys. Like I said I am going to make some small improvements but am quite happy with it overall. The device on the top right is an M350, which is a digital speedo with 0-400m, power reading, lap times etc, but I haven't figured out the Japanese instructions to get it all working yet. I haven't actually got the Hybrid solenoid hooked up yet - it is wired through to the engine bay, but I haven't had time to plug it all in. I used the older model of this one and it was very good - so I expect this one to be as good if not better. The dash lights take under an hour to install. The hardest part is getting the cluster out - it is a p.i.t.a if you don't remove the steering wheel (like I didn't).
  23. Well now I have done the Ultimate Trim 'leather' interior, I thought it was time to make a custom gauge panel for the spare DIN spot in the R34, put in some of 666dans blue leds into the dash cluster, and cut out the ash tray and integrate the SAFCII into the dash. I plan to go a little bit more crazy with the carbon fibre, and may well re-do the bits I have done as some of it is a bit rough and better techniques would give a better result. I thought I'd share these photos for your enjoyment. I will get some better photos in daylight today also.
  24. yeah it's good mate - loving life! Sold the S15, which sucks , but on to different things now, so the Skyline keeps me entertained. Hope life is treating you well in Tokyo!
  25. do you still have the R34GTR rims and the LMGT4s sitting in your lounge room Chapman?
