    From GTRBlog.com

Alcon have produced a range of front and rear brake rotors for R35 GT-R designed with a higher heat capacity than the standard items. They come with crescent grooves as opposed to being drilled which most people find more durable for track work. Other features of these rotors are:

•Alloy bell, slightly lighter than standard

•Curved vanes, versus standard straight vanes to provide better cooling

•Alloy rotors, provide higher durability with a lighter weight

•Standard size for bolt on fitment

Overall these rotors save a total of 1kg (2.2lbs) per front rotor. Since this is unsprung and rotational mass this is a significant saving.

  3. Yeah I might head down for the Sunday.

I wanted to do a Sandown day before the year was out, but time didn't permit, so this might be the only option for some track time before the year is out.

Luke has entered the S14 for the Saturday.

  5. The motor is 100% ok. Fuel on the road for about 1km, we were only at half pace, rear end came around as we powered slowly out of a corner. We just watched the video. No fault of nav or driver. We still finished the stage and the stage was downgraded, so we didn't loose any time. Car still drives straight!

  6. Would this be of any interest, Scotsman?

    http://winterrally.ballarat.net.au/

Maybe SAUVIC could enter a 3 car team?

    Perhaps...

So is this event similar to dutton in that it's a total event with lots of sub events?

It sounds like there is two events running simultaneously with an observation rally running with a touring rally.

Do these guys close off any cool road sections or anything like that or is it just drive from one motorkhana to another?

  7. Thanks guys.

Was good to get the win under the belt.

Now I need to figure out, what next?

Great job by Ryan at haunted hills, it must have been a smoking lap to be quickest out there.

My car is a little worse for wear and in need of a clutch and probably a diff amungst other little things. But she hung in there right till the end and was fast even when we were driving conservativly.

  8. It's also a pleasure to watch Chris/Ryan going out time and again throwing down clean runs. Did you guys end up deciding who's car you're going to both drive to finally settle who's the better peddler?

    Dave

LOL. It's an argument for the ages. I don't even know what or who I was arguing for. The alcohol was doing all the arguing for me.

Pistols at dawn should settle it.
