-= IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT =-
The insurer of the event (AASA) has revised the supplimentary regulations to include helmets to be worn during all sessions. This includes the skidpan and all battles.
This also impacts passengers, as they must also now wear a helmet prior to entering a competition vehicle.
Please re-read the supplimentary regulations as they have changed.

Also the link to the entry form was fixed up yesterday.
for some reason the new forum update has stopped FTP links in the add a link function.
So we changed it to a http link.

Thanks Guys.
I have a lot of good shots now. But I still need a heap more. Keep em coming!
Also i'm looking for more action shots too... Cars in drifts, flame shots, two wheels round corners, driving down steps (Italian Job style) That sort of thing..
21 people in your back seat... hehe u know.
Cheers.

Also this poll will be ending around the 7th of Nov. As this is when I will be putting together the event schedule. So get votes in before then.
-
Chris where is the one where we just go around and around
Yeah that was pete's revenge. I thought it was a tyre fryer (Which doesn't suit everyone) and from a event organisation point of view too many ppl spin and slows down the number of runs we get through. There are plenty of khana's there thou that you can get nice big slides going, just not a constant slide for 30sec while delaminating your rear right.
-
Much like some other cool people that have done a "good job" of crashing at Winton during at Dutton as well.
Yeah those guys are trying way too hard!
-
Was just about to do the deposit, haven't done a DECA since like Nov 06 but whats this junk about fire extinguishers now days? I got myself another stock taxi/boat, I know the farker runs hot as hell but jebus a fire extinguisher hehe?
Yeah it's for your own good. Don't show up without one.
Too many ppl like Ash / Foo / Pete / Mav catching fire or almost.
K-Mart $30 - Could save your life or your taxi..... $$$ well spent.
-
so $10 is a bargain then!
i've just net bank'd the $75, and just going to fill out the pdf, take some pics and email it to the motorsport address. Hope that's ok, don't have access to a fax at the moment
Yep that will be fine. I got the email, and spot is secure.
-
To make this DECA a little bit more fun, we are allowing participants to have your say on the morning skidpan motorkhana's... We're calling it "The People's DECA" Catchy aint it?
Click Here - To place a vote.
-
Also FYI R33 GTR is same as R33 GTST. All the same.
-
THE PEOPLE'S DECA
The idea behind this deca is that YOU choose the motorkhanas for the morning sessions! Below are 7 options to vote for, some of which are derived from previous deca maps, others being brand new. The two most popular choices will be used. As per usual you will get 2 runs per map, so choose whichever one you think looks like the most fun!
Please only vote if you have done a DECA before or you intend on coming to this DECA. You may vote on one or two motorkhana's.
As well as this we will also be trialing a slightly new layout on the Long Wang (back track), encorporating parts of the track never used before which should be good fun, especially for the regulars.
There are still places available for this event. It is a great way to meet fellow members and as most people will vouch for, the best fun you can have in your car, and its all legal! its the perfect event for begginers!
Entry forms can be found here: DECA THREAD
Motorkhana Choices:
Motorkhana 1
Motorkhana 2
Motorkhana 3
Motorkhana 4
Motorkhana 5
Motorkhana 6

And how many have already been accepted?
Do you guys usually do both days?
-
hahaha damn well hopefully there will be space
I have five more faxes to add to the entry list. (When work isn't flat out) But it's not selling out super quick, so you should be right. But no I wont reserve a spot for you until I recieve a completed entry form and payment.

Thread title says 'Carbo Fibre' so I thought he had a regularity issue...
As always - Love your work James!
-
what's the closing date on this?
Not sure exactly. Will be somewhere around Early-Mid-Nov. Wont be any later than 15th Nov.
-
Does it have to be a SAU car?
Does it have to be at a SAU event?
Or does it have to be both?
Just has to be current SAU member's car. So you can send thru any pics of your car(s)
I like this one... Thanks to Bigbird Jarrod.Yep - I will be going through Jarrod's pics and possibly doing a morewell page.

It's with regret that I have to annouce the removal of the PIARC Round from the SAU-Vic Championship. This WAS marked down as our 8th and sprint final round for 2008.
The round was supposed to be run on the 9th of November under the PIARC banner, but the Phillip Island Auto Racing Club have decided to shift this sprint meet to the 29th and 30th of November. (30th being the timed sprint day) PIARC Calendar:- Click here
This date change to the 30th conflicts with our club Show and Shine and Xmas BBQ. The committee has investigated the possibility of moving our SnS, but this is not possible.
I'd like to highlight that this change was out of our control.
-
We think that looks like Alex's car. Also seen here: http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/1329/pc080012eb4.jpg from last years SnS.
We'll check if he's still a member. Email me the hi-res of that pic.
Ni- Could you perhaps go through some of your better shots and burn me a CD? I can collect or give you a postal address. Basically I want any good images that havn't already been in a calendar.

LOL Exactly - How about you make the rear end of the silver bullet handle first before thinking about to spray or not to spray?
Or is it the rear breaks bais bad and your rears lock up before the fronts?
