  1. ...like a moth to the flame.

Everytime one of these zany things comes along I can't help but wonder if there is anything to them. Be it a magnet that goes on your fuel line to "line up" the atoms, or what seems to be a capacitor like in the link, I can't help but want to try them! I never have.

Anyone tried this, or other miracle products on thier cars? How did it go? Do you have evidence to support your findings, ie. dead motor or dyno printouts, or is it just anecdotal?

Anyone got a 2nd hand Polarizer for sale? Surely Brocky was onto something?!

  2. Good read.

One thing I would like to chuck into the ring is the performance side of things.

I remember when I switched to iridiums in my CBR900. Holy shit. SOP dyno said 5hp right thru the rev range. And it wasn't just the switch from old to new plugs as I had done that 10 times before going iridiums. And throttle response was markedly improved. It help with the throttle hand/rear tyre connection something fierce.

I've been an advocate of iridiums ever since.

Why am I surprised that people don't report better performance with iridiums over copper in their cars?

I picked up some iridiums this week. Will chuck em in with fresh oil next weekend and report back.

  3. Not likely to be "Blitzed" around the north eastern suburbs. They be closing of Chapel St and hunting people on dead straight roads out in the middle of nowhere.

They'll also set up booze buses but you won't get checked there as long as your car doesn't look like a piece of shit.

They don't actually want to "lower the road toll", but rather they want to book as many people as possible so next week they can crap on about what a bunch of tards we are and how they are going to introduce even more archaic laws to curb the out of control road toll. From there they introduce more cameras and revenue raising devices all in the name of "safety".

  4. Lol, going down the toilet. That's funny.

While I believe that our laws have gone too far towards making anyone and everyone criminals, fact is if you get caught, take it like a man. No one should be given special exemptions. It's Hamilton's responsibility to know the rules of the country he is visiting, no one elses.

Please, Europe awaits. Don't wait, get on a boat and paddle your ass away cause you leaving will raise the collective IQ of the entire nation a couple of points.

  5. Hmmmm, now you put it that way perhaps he's onto something.

Empty roads, great drugs and plenty of dirty monkey sex unobstructured by morals.

    VOTE ONE BOB BROWN!!!

lol yeah let's heed Bob Brown's preachings.. cull the population, distribute free drugs, regress towards primitive creatures etc
  6. What about his ute put on it's roof?

You don't think his insurance will send out an assessor to make sure they pay a fair and reasonable price for the damages

I call troll. No one could possibly be as retarded as you and still keep a straight face.

BTW, I'ma bet Hamish is having the same problems with FF3.6 that a lot of people are currently experiencing, myself included.

I think we can bare witness to who the actual troll here is.. eh Hamish? Flooding the page with the same post four times (three in this page and one in the previous)

What attracted my attention from the media the most was that the shop ownder claimed there was $15k damages in his shop front, which is an absolute unfathomable rubbish. From the images i've seen he had approx. two windows broken and a few mags tossed around by a couple pubescent teenagers who couldn't gain entry inside the small store. It's just another case of over claiming and i am quite positive that he will get his cheque in the mail with $15k printed on it by working his magic, taking it all the way to the bank to with a big grin on his face.

Just recently i had to refurbish my 300 sq metre store as requested by my franchisor replacing the most essential things like carpet which covers all four corners of the store, light bulbs and fresh paint on the walls costing me no more than $12k in total. I simply can't fathom how a small shop which is no bigger than 70-80 sq in size could rack up to $15k in damages. Bloke has struck a gold mine by making a claim on his insurance.. laughing

  7. She must've sold them after he kicked the bucket then.

I read a great article about numberplates inthe Age a few years ago and used to see her driving around Toorak 3-4 times a week when I was working for Stonnington Council.

Ahh... no it's not. It's owned by Peter Bartels the merc is parked downstairs. I'll go take a photo if you want? ;)
  8. That's Richard Pratt's missus.

Apparently he was offered $1.5mil by someone for the plates (when he was alive) and turned it down. It's pretty much the biggest prize in the money circles in Melbourne.

Spotted a Merc AMG sedan (not sure which one) with the registration plate "1" at wellington rd/stud rd intersection.

I was staring at the old couple inside the car to see if i could recognise them haha

  9. Wow, what an ignorant and f**king stupid thing to say.

I'd love to know how you feel you are so qualified to determine this guys wages and then of course how you became an expert on how much someone should be able to make befoer we can trash their livelihood and not feel bad about it.

A business of that scale would be making at minimum $10k in net profit a month, so really, there's no need to feel sorry for the owner. He would make up his no loss in no time.

I am 110% sure he would have insurance as most business owners do.
