  1. I've taken this kid Kujotk's quotes from another website. He pretends he owns all these exotics and they're his dads. At any opportunity he bags the shit out of GT-R's yet gets on here all nice and friendly! He's a nasty little bit of gear really.
  2. Why don't you post this stuff on here? From another forum... Quote from: Horse on Today at 13:36 You can't buy an Atom here and anyone would (with half a brain) realise that it's not quite as practical!!!!! Talk to the guys who track their GT-R's a lot and see what problems they've had. omg John here we go again.... 1: You can buy the Atom here and you will soon be able to get it complied as well (but I will believe the compliance part once I see one complied, I know the guys trying to engineer it now, a lot of work, money and inspections have gone into it and they recon they are on the home stretch). Practicality doesn't matter, if it did then we'd all be in stationwagon hatchbacks. 2: You claim to have tracked your car for only 2 hours in the wet, yet YOUR car needed a new tranny shipped from Japan when your dashboard was flashing with warning faults. It isn't any good having a car that can do those times if you only have 1st, 3rd and 5th gear mate. If I had only tracked my cars for 2 hours in the wet, I sure as hell would be pissed off, I have no idea why you defend Nissan so much when from your first hand experience the car failed without even being driven hard. The story is on this thread which was posted by Horsey.... look at post #3, that was me being encouraging a few days ago, wish I wasn't so nice now.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/347886-my-new-gearbox/ Also in regards to the times Nissan gives about the cars.... Nissan said the cars are capable of 3.2-3.3sec 0-100 times back in 2007/2008. I am yet to meet anybody in the whole country that has gotten anywhere near 3.2-3.3sec for a standard car..... this backs me up as well, it has been written by various R35 owners right here in Australia. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/270400-0-100kph-times/ I have said it before and i'll say it again, I know almost all there is to know about these cars. I have driven them plenty of times and even came close to buying one for myself at the beginning of the year (it is in AE forums somewhere), if I thought they were that good I would have bought one already, it isn't asif they are exclusive or super expensive. Hopefully the MY11' model will finally be as good as Nissan hypes it up to be, but I highly doubt it as Nissan has Always exagerated with the R35. PS: hope this tranny doesn't shit itself for you this time... Mate I know what happened to your car
  3. I lurk here without posting much, but thought i'd let you know aout my experience. 6 weeks ago I got into my GT-R to drop my daughter to school and the engine and transmission lights came on and it only ha 1st, 3rd and 5th gears (how odd ). After driving a few k's and stopping and re starting the car the gearbox worked properly again. The car was nearly due for a service so I booked it into the dealer and asked them to look into the gearbox fault. When I picked it up I was told they'd run a full check and reset everything. It did the same the next day and was also in limp home mode, so was picked up by a truck and taken back to the dealer. After downloading all the info from the gearbox/car etc to Nissan Aust (and onto Nissan Japan I was told), the dealer was instructed to do a few checks including draining the gearbox to see if anything other than oil came out, and with all this info the decision was made to fit a brand new gearbox. It surprised me at the time that they didn't try changing electronic things like solenoids etc, or even opening up the gearbox to have a look, but I'm glad they didn't as I thing it would have just dragged on and on. The gearbox arrived in a crate from Japan last Friday and was fitted this week, with me picking the car back up yesterday. It is perfect again. The only time on a track was about 2 hours in the wet at QR with the Dealer. I've never launched the car. Nissan Moorooka has been very professional the entire time, I was delivered a loan car when needed and was kept up to date with the progress constantly. This has in no way lessened my love of the car; to me it is just one of those things. But it is certainly reassuring that the dealer and Nissan Australia are so easy to deal with.
  4. Great day today, if you don't mind the rain! I had a lot of fun. Thanks Todd.
  5. Lakeside flows, as opposed to stop / start at QR.
  6. It was a good day yesterday. I was with Luke Youlden and we did a 1.45, 260 kph before brakes at turn 1. He told me that was quicker than Suzuli san had done the arvo before; who said racing drivers are not competitive? True about PI, it's like a big Lakeside.
  7. Thanks for the welcome. Haven't had my car on the track yet. Should be a bit of fun at PI.
