  1. That's a fairly likely scenario. However if Webber leads Vettel through the first lap he has a very good chance of breaking his duck this year.
  2. This situation with the blown diffuser rules is becoming a farce. The rules should not change within a race weekend. Hell, they should be locked in for a full year, safety aside. Different rules for different teams, changing rules between practice sessions ... the FIA should quit trying to fix the races.
  3. Ricciardo faster than Liuzzi in 2 out of 3 sessions. Hopefully he can put a car or two between himself and Liuzzi on the grid.
  4. I have Foxtel and I've never seen practice broadcast, at least not on Fox Sports. Eurosport may but I doubt it.
  5. Double our chances? You do realise that Ricciardo is driving for HRT ... for him to win would take at least 22 retirements.
  6. So ... does anyone rate Ricciardo a long term chance? In the short term at least I think he's going to give Liuzzi a real touch up. And Buemi and Alguersuari will be thumb-wrestling for the remaining seat at STR next year
  7. It's a valid point though, I've often wondered how our V8s would do on a circuit against NASCAR. NASCARs do have more power, but they also have more weight, less sophisticated technology, and don't forget they're running four-speed h-pattern gearboxes. NASCARs also don't have a mandatory rev limit, they can get near 10,000 rpm on their engines. I wonder how much power they'd make if they were limited to 7500 like our V8s?
  8. 200 km races doesn't sound like a multi-driver event
  9. Just had an interesting idea ... what chance of a cameo from Ambrose, Power or Briscoe? If they're in town and have no other commitments ... someone would give them a seat.
  10. Ricciardo will be competing against one driver and one driver only, that being Liuzzi. If he beats him, he's "won". Aside from that his job will be to prove that he can drive at race pace without hitting something or getting in the way. It worked for Webber, and HRT is effectively the Minardi of 2011
  11. I second your w00t. I'm hoping for big things from Ricciardo - WDC 2014?
  12. 1 bar? Pretty poor when road cars can safely run higher boost . Not that we'll ever see 5-bar 1300 bhp engines again, more's the pity
  13. ^^^ Both very true, V8SC is a bee's appendage away from being a NASCAR-style sillouhette formula
  14. The rumoured Texas V8SC race is now confirmed apparently. Not sure how I feel about this, normally I'm fairly "meh" about American circuit racing, but I'm a little excited about this. Would be great to show the Yanks how it's done!
  15. I'm gonna have to bail, other committments, sorry. Next time.
  16. I don't need the injectors any more
  17. I believe he was referring to the experience of watching them rather than the dynamics of driving them. Regardless I'd say he's much more qualified to give his opinion than most of us.
  18. Got pics of the injectors? Are they stock?
  19. They called a Safety Car for rain? What a joke. Man up, ladies.
  20. KARMA, LOUISE
  21. Shall have to break out the polish ...
  22. Anyone else here about this? Ute catches fire at Turn 1 of Monaco Hope it doesn't screw up the track surface, and that they dumped the muppet who caused the fire (whoever it was) into the harbour.
  23. Yellow r34 with black bonnet and custom plates at my servo in Donvale tonight. If it goes as good as it looks it must be pretty wild
  24. Yeah ... numbers are tricky ... my bad. I shall remedy my innumeracy immediately .
