hi guys the bottom end of my beloved rb20det in my CEFIRO has decided to shit itself so i will be selling all the goodies and upgrading to rb25/30det iam located on the gold coast but will ship items interstate at buyer expense (after i have received the money) so iam selling : rb20det front facing plenum with good condition injectors z32 throttle body and fuel rail $550 rb20det head port and polish near new flows heaps better $300 custom high mount exhaust manifold with td06 turbo in great condition and custom dump pipe $1000 or $600 for just the manifold or $700 for turbo ,dump pipe and metal inlet pipe rb20det air flow meter in good condition $140 mines rb20det ecu $ 200 plug in away you go (bargain) please note all items are on car and running and have seen stock boost as the engine has just been run in (i know it sux) all serious offers considered will post pics asap thanks Ben

taking mesurements.... its not going to be possible to sharknose it and honestlyits a bit tryhard but the bonnet as shown above on the black r31 is definately a go i want it just over the projector head lights on an angle for that mean look with the overfenders and the oil cooler should still have that jap style

cool thats reasurring about the tyres dori gecko yes considering the sharknose but its a huge ammount of work with no performance gains so it will be the last thing (if i do it ) .a mate is currently playing with the idea on photoshop for me so we will see

ok so from the sensor run one wire to the cig lighter for ( + ) power one to the gauge (sensor) then run the ( - ) negative from the cig lighter to the gauge also ... is this correct prob sounds basic to everyone else but just wanna be clear before i start blowing fuses

ok as some of you might have read my engine is showing signs of stress so as i know rb30's very well i have decided to build a 25/30det using the na rb30e block and rb25de r32 head with no vct ......i can hear the booing already but i have succesfully pulled lotsa power out of this set up and the low down torque is sooo good now im going to start by swaping the rb20det for a r31 gts rb30e and turboing that with vl turbo parts will my front facing rb20det plenum fit on the rb30e head? will the exhaust manifold from my rb20det fit on the rb30e in the past i have used vl turbo injectors but im wondering what would u guys suggest as they max out at around 200rwkw i will use a dalkhalf (from r31club ) remapped ecu i plan to run 12psi with the higher compression of 9.0:1 this should be suficient when i hit 200rwkw i will put on the 25 head lowering comp to 8.5:1 and strengthen the bottom end i know the rb30 is old and single cam but they are a great engine many people (rabjab) make huge power and retain the single cam for a while it will be rb30e+t please comment all imput will be considered thanks Ben

iam terrible with wiring and electrics so i kinda need more detail on how to wire up the water temp sensor

ok so i guess it comes down to finding a mechanic il get the oil pump checked but il probably take u up on that n1 pump just tossing up wether to buy a new bottom end or get this one fixed anyway thanks for your help mate

if i decide to get the crank pulled out and get it fixed does anyone know a good mechanic on the gold coast QLD that would do this cheaply??

thanks russtuf i think this could be the problem as the reason for the rebuild was a oil pump failure what would cause this to happen a second time? as the 25det is not an option atm due to funds and i do end up having to pull the crank out is it worth it or should i buy a new bottom end ?? how can i ensure that this does not happen again as it is a drift car and it will be reved hard most of the time and yea shes a fun ride puttin out nearly 190rwkw and its skatey yet very predictable best drifter ive had yet

ok so after a trip to bob jane t mart i have discovered they do sell the rims i want 15x10 -26 (which if my calculation are correct, puts them just over 3inches out the stock gaurds ?) with 215 60 r15 tyres (i was informed i should be putting inner tubes in with this much stretch any thoughts?) so the damage all up will be $1560

yea as soon as i discovered the shakotan /bosozoku style i had to do it minus the 8ft exhaust of course my plan is as follows: 10inch rims 4 inches out the gaurds overfenders vented bonnet huge twin pipes large oil cooler (with pipes through the grill) chin spoiler and of course the hang ring on back bumper iam budgeting around 4000 to do it properly any input would be great....

hey , nah it doesnt go away im worried its the bottom end ... im gonna replace the oil on the weekend and get under the car if its something simple il find it what other warning signs should i be looking for?? if it is the bottom end il go for a 25det but i hope not as that will set me back atleast 6months and no new wheels

what diff centre are u using ...? what suspension do you have in the rear..? i found with a welded diff (in track car) and with some 2ways (esp new ones) that if dont give it enough throttle it skips a bit.. to remedy this i kept revs up and gave her a small clutch kick but get to know your car and adjust ur style or setup accordingly p.s i agree dont slide on the road people die and the cops get tighter and tighter on all of us .... edit: just realised this has already been said oh well
