cheers mate... so you dont think the HDI intercooler will line up perfectly as well or?

Hi everyone. I have a Silvia S15 Japspec... and am stuck as to which of the two intercoolers i should get..... The Greddy LS Spec Intercooler or the HDI (Hybrid) GT Spec intercooler Only Visible diffrence between the two i can see is the HDI is 10cm higher so i assume heavier? Furthermore HDI is 100bux cheaper... Opinions?

oh god dont talk to me about 7th order filters. im doing electrical engineering at uni and oen subject is all abotu control systems and frikn nth order filters etc GRRR ahha reason i was saying TYPE R is i can get cost price at jbhifi, i was goign to buy the 12inch vented box that alpine supplies with a 12inch type r sub, 500w rms monoblock V12, and the 4ch with 100rms in each channel going to front splits, guess i could get some rear splits as well... i like it loud to though...real loud hopefully this system will do! in terms of other brands etc....as long as its sold at jb hi fi ahha Cheers Farah

ok mate cheers for that, 1 last question...though is type x 10inch @ 1000w rms overkill? would a type R with a 500w rms monoblock be sufficient/loud/bass(i) enough...what are your thoughts...? Also thoughts on the type R splits and type R 6 x 9s? thanks alot mate

ah k i see thankyou for all the help mate. Would it be more benifital to run my sub at 750w rms instead of the full 1000w rms for the sake of the alternator?

Other Auto Accessories: Viper Car Alarm 5101 Soundstream 1 Farad Capacitor Battery is the top range Kmart battery i think its 550 something i think....Brand new Type R splits at the front, type r 6x9's at the back Type X 10Inch sub Battery negative wire i will change from 4 gauge to 0 gauge so assume 0 gauge. Power wires to amps will be 0-2 gauge wiring. Speaker wire is 12gauge I jsut dont want my alternator to die on me...If it is too much i could always run the monoblock at 750w RMS...... Cheers Guys

isnt that why you push your foot all the way to the floor on the accelerator when u crank it? can u just remove the relay to the fuel pump instead?

OK so im inches away from buying a silvia....I love it in White and in Red....A bit more in red though but i love Sunroofs! The white one i looked at had a factory sunroof....the red one didnt....i called up 1 place today to see if they could fit a factory sunroof in and they said they couldnt because they didnt have the nessasary rig? Does anyone know if i buy a factory sunroof are there places that will professionally install it or a cabable of installing it? Iv already sourced all the nessasary parts for the sunroof for $400..... Thoughts? P.S. Oh and do you like silvia's in red or white better!

Ok cheers security...so both the dry and wet tests should be above 155 got it! Can a leak down test be done by myself as well? any additional tools required? And while im at it besides the usual oil leaks,clutch,suspension etc any other things i should look out for with a s15?

Hi guys can anyone confirm for me this is the right way to do a compression test on a 1999 Nissan Silva JDM s15. 1: Remove Sparkplugs 2: Remove Coilpacks(ignition system) 3: Put in the Hand gauge 4: Hold throttle open to full and keep turning the key until the value on the meter doesnt go up 5: This is your reading Quick Question though: 1: Does the battery Need to be removed? 2: Do you need to remove anything to do with the fuel etc? It should read +/- 10% of 170 does all this sound right guys?

Hey guys went and saw some skylines and S15's at a caryard today (wont say who). He told me it is virtually impossible to locate Manual R34's with a nismo body kit and SUNROOF. Is this true guys? He also said JDM S15's were very hard to comebuy with a sunroof as well...Thoughts guys?
