  1. does anyone know what sort of power increase you would get on say a gt30 or hi flow on e85???

Well mine is making 273rwkw on 18psi (3076 .82 IW) on PULP98 on a fairly easy tune.

Simon from Morpowa thinks E85 should bump it up to around 310rwkw.

He said the most he's seen a 3076 on E85 is i think 320 whereas a bunch of people on here have been seeing 330-340+ with similar mods so i think the Morpowa dyno might read on the low side...?

  2. Just spotted a grey 2door r34 with the numberplate R34SKY on north east road at Collinswood heading towards the city.

Lol that's me. And on my Bday too (albeit last year..!).

I remember I had the day off but headed in to work (for the bring a cake on your birthday rule).

    Classic.

  3. tapleys hill servo at seaton.. the united sel it there for 99.99 c/l!

Damn... other side of town from both home and work... lol.

Oh well worth it to see how it goes. Just get a tune and swap to it when I feel like going down there i suppose. :verymad:

    Thanks all!

  4. Does anyone have a list (or know where to find one) of servos that sell E85 in little old Adelaide?

Preferably at the pump for convenience.

Want to get a tune to see what the 3076 will make on it...

    :)

  5. Haha sorry for confusing you guys, i deffinately still have the stock bov!

when purchasing the car i got an raa check and the raa mechanic said it has an exhaust bov fitted, and my mechanic also said it has a exhaust bov but never actually asked him where its located.

The noise deffinately comes from the engine bay on deceleration though just as a bov would just not sure where it is, might record the sound and pic of engine bay/video to show you guys.

Im as puzzled as you guys are but i looked in my rear muffler and theres deffinately nothing around there!

Perhaps the RAA guy meant an atmospheric bov - ie venting 'exhaust' (which is actually just intake air) hence the pssshht - as opposed to a plumb back standard one?

  6. lol not sure man but its not on my exhaust, it just sounds like a normal bov but the noise is come from the engine bay, i have a feeling it may be around the dump pipe.... Will have to have a close look on the weekend.

But its not one of those things on the link that was posted at the start of this thread, thats for sure!

Ok so I think we all had this confused - it's a real bov then?

It will be attached to the intake piping somewhere after the turbo, not exhaust.

  7. Mate, do i know what you mean!

They give us a bad rep, please dont put my ignorance in the same boat as them! haha

Nah you're all good - at least you didn't know what it was / was for and asked.

And will now take it off.

I'm at the point of thinking non plumb back REAL bov's are fully sic... they were cool 10 years ago when I was 18 and didn't know any better... :P

  8. i got a power fc. all i do need is 550cc but if i can get away with putting in 1000cc for free why not.

I've heard that PFC will be harder to get bigger injectors running right than more expensive ECUs ie Haltech, vipic, Motec etc etc but asking your tuner is probably the best bet... :D

  9. a mate of mine has a set of 1000cc injectors he said i could have them but the question is are they going to be way too big for my gtr with 28/60-7??

As long as you have a good enough ECU to be able to control the flow and the spray pattern is good there shouldn't be any problem.

Good for running E85 as well...

  10. Clearly as I am talking about programing % of wheel slip then I am talking about adjustable traction control as alot of aftermarket ecu,s have built in to them. please re read the thread

You can choose how much slip you have off the line ie the amount of tyre spin you will accept.

I think you'll find setting this up may be a costly and difficult exercise. My Haltech has traction control but then you need extras to measure wheel speed / slip etc etc and then you need to set it all up / get it working right.

And if i set it up with the standard R34 TCS it will be just about as useless as it used to be...

Not sure if it's worth it...?

  11. no i don want to take the cat out, srsly, i dont want the extra 500rwkw from taking the cat out, its just to fast for me, so ill leave it in.

i was under the impression that you need some sort of back pressure, but iono

I believe the extra 500rwkw will make it too fast for you.

  12. sound or pollution?

    i dont get it

Lol. 'to' and 'too' - two (hehe) different words.

The problem will be with volume, but I wouldn't worry about it (unless you get defected).

The size shouldn't make any difference to emissions as long as there is still a cat.

  13. How about english do you find that useless as well

read the post I said adjustable so i can limit the wheel spin if I wish to.

I plan on making around 400 at the wheels, speak to anyone that has that sort of power and they will tell you its touchy in the wet to say the least, clearly I dont want that to be a problem.

Maybe if I could drive as well as you then it wouldnt be an issue

Seriously though - we are talking turbo cars here, so even with (and possibly even more so due to a larger turbo) huge power ie 400rwkw+ you are going to need to wind that hair dryer up before it starts making any sort of power. It's not like you don't know what's coming shortly after your foot goes down... Just go easy on the loud pedal when the conditions don't suit and you'll be fine.

If you can't manage that perhaps you should let your gf drive it home in the rain...? :P
