changed my set up so no longer needed is my garrett .82 internally gated rear housing off my 3076 and 18psi Big can actuator chasing $400 for the housing and $50 for the actuator, both in excellent working condition. both have done about 7000kms these are more expensive than the 4 bolt external rear, usually around the $700 mark can post both just PM me your postcode and ill work it out located in SA Josh 0411742212

went into my local Nissan today and got some parts when i noticed a new poster. "nissan skyline and GTR history", asked if it was for sale and it was. They said each Nissan dealership received only 10-20 of these posters and are a very limited run, only one per customer. part number is NI-LSN020 and cost $13.63 at trade price. its pretty large at 600x750mm ish. i do, there in the rb25 thread. and recently fitted poncams and the big can actuator. dont get me wrong the car is fun, full boost a bit before 4k and pulls hard all the way. whats making me want to make some changes is a friend who had the exact same bolt ons + cams as myself car is completely different to mine.The only difference is he went the 56t .63 external and 44mm tial. while they make the same power on the same boost, and on a dyno his response is probably 300ish rpm better (could just be the housing), their 2 very different cars in the way the power is delivered. driving behind him coming out of corners or even straight line stuff he'll always pull that couple of car lengths, and if you know Mallala well the track is very start/stop. Weve swapped cars several times and the rear housing and gate option is the only relevant difference. my first issue to rectify is to go back to the MTQ 1 bar actuator, which seemed to drive nicer than the big can. the other option is to just change rear housings to the .63 and go external gate. As i said, im happy with it, but there is definantly room for improvement somewhere

The timers are sitting in my room, and i cant work them out. lol. So id say youll have to wait until someone comes and picks them up On another note for next years day, id like to see the timers utilised properly. Set up 3 or 4 beacons and have split timing as well, would be a great comparison for similar cars to see where they can improve. And i know this one is far fetched but id love to have a speed trap set up on the kink, well see who hits it 100%

thoughts on a GTX3071 with .63 external 44m gate on e85 strapped to RB25 with all supporting mods and poncams? much of a muchness between the gtx and normal 3071?currently running a 52t, 3076 .82 IW and not happy with the 'punch' out of corners. its always that 500 or so rpm behind the 8 ball

I grabbed the Box and put the timers in it,there are 7 timers. i havent had a look inside them though. I Did the last session by myself and when i came in not one person from SAU was at Mallala. So I just grabbed the timers, unsure of the beacon. I was using a different beacon that was placed on the start/finish line.

was in my 33 for a while, got some other things to spend money on. The odometer/speedo was one that i had lying around the turned out to not work, just pop yours in and away you go, looks great in the 33 dash. had a great day out there, apart from the fuel filler cap deciding it didnt want to seal anymore, once that was sorted car was faultless all day. was really to hot out there, only would get a lap or 2 before tyres, oil and water all got a bit warm, even with all the preventative measures. Still managed mostly 1:24s for the day, will have to check the timer tomorrow when its not raining to see what was my fastest. so over Christmas seems im working to buy some semis and some bigger/working brakes combo. ah well, the quest to go faster and faster continues
