lollllll...well i thort that may be useful info =P well i ruled out any damage to his rims, stock s15 rims. mainly caus like.....only damage wud be done if they blew up and the aloy had direct contact with the guter, if the tires had of fuly compresed against the rim they wud of blown up so yes. bit of mathematics for u all. umm as for the whistle noise, i know it wudnt be a control arm, mainly caus control arms creak and dont whistle. it wudnt be the tie rod caus otherwise his wheel wud be pushed bak extremely. i did put my fingers between the wheel wen i was there. 4 fingers on the right side, and i cud squeeze 4 fingers on the left side, so 3.5 fingers on left side, 4 fingers on right side. ummmmmm wat else. oh yeah so i dnt think he's done to much damage, perhaps just a wheel bearing like sum guy said above. if he's done more than that then its only gona get worse if he keeps driivng it.

Hello well my friend owns a 200sx s15, and anyway he went around a corner too fast and overcorrected, ended up swerving onto wrong side of the road and hitting into a gutter ( he said he hit it front on), he said the skid marks were around 15 metres long. he doesnt know how fast he was going but he ended up with only his front wheels over the gutter. I went into his car with him yesterday for a drive and it seems to be runnign fine, aside from a slight squeel coming from the righthand side at the front. steering is also making the car go towards the left more than normal he said wen he hit the gutter he had almost stoped but who knows. any ideas what damage he has done to the car? my thinking is he just needs a wheel alignment. ccaus wen he hit the wheels are still in tact and not blown up. although maybe he damaged the rims, although i looked at them from the side and both of them looked circular

Hmm, Car Thieves need to be ridded from society. Its like they have no concept that someone worked hard for that car, and its their pride and joy. insurance money cant replace sumones pride and joy. It makes me think that having an alarm/immoboliser system seems rather pointless if thieves can get past them that easily :S. perhaps a kill switch hidden in the car would be a good option? or is that easy for thieves to conquer too?

me wanting to drive like a street racer in japland was soooo ten years ago. now that i have an import i take pride in my beautiful car, which is far superior to most s13's out there. and testing my 0-100 time hasn't happened, however me wondering why the stall only went to 2000rpm has happened, and now i can't see the point of testing 0-100. Also i think i have more sense than to listen to advice that tells me to rev to 7000rpm in neutral and slam it into drive because number 1: my tires will wear down, and number 2: i cant afford a broken gearbox. geez quit being so ignorant. Mr.Eps has already helped me see the light in treating a japanese car like royalty. ALL HAIL MY SILVIA Q'S!!!

Hey everyone, Well I've just been admiring my engine bay, and I came across a label that said my car is powered by a "Blitz Access ECU". Just wondering what this ECU does? I've been searching on the internet and all I can find is that it removes the speed limiter. Also one website said the blitz access ECU increases 20horsepower to the car?

Hey, I'm just currently encountering problems with the 10 stacker KENWOOD KDC-C55 cd player. I click eject and the yellow disk tray wont come out? it just makes this whirring noise and doesn't come out? And on the headunit it says error :S. what do i do? i dont wana go to JB hi-fi and pay them like $20 to fix it.

Lolllll!!! haha well the nightclub pays me $12 an hour cash in hand, being a job who picks up empty drink glasses. And i worked 12 hours over 3 days, and got $145. I am being ripped off. I am going to resign, ill be able to drive 1350km's for two full fuel tanks, and then have $25 left over to drive around 300km's. so hmm around 1650km's before I'd have to find a new job. Gimps, are you saying that you have never ever floored your car? As for my Silvia, i revved it to 2000rpm to see what the stall converter was set at. And i was just wondering why it was as low as 2000rpm. Now did I say I floored it 0-100? No. I said i wanted to test the car 0-100. Now I have booked it into the mechanic for a service already, and actually got a job at a nightclub as to maintain the Silvia regularly. And just to shut you up, i got 675km's out of a 55L tank. Thats around 8L/100km. So i doubt I would have gotten that nice fuel economy had I been floorign the car. Because of my prior stupid comments I am sick of u labelling me as a hoon. If i was a hoon driving my car I'd readily admit it, however I'm driving liek a grandma simply because I want to minimise fuel costs while stilll looking cool in an import. So quit with the hoon label please. Because theres no doubt you drive your big turbo car a lot harder than my Silvia. Because hey Gimps, ur car has 206KW, most likely more because u can aford to modify, put a nice big catback exhaust on, and hey give it a bit of a hard drive, just to test its limits. Whereas I currently cannot afford that nor do i want to spend money fixing shit when it breaks from floging the hell out of it

My silvia has 16 inch or 17 inch Zeptor rims, they run 225 for the rear tires. Anyway wouldnt that like ruin my gearbox if I slammed it into Drive at 7000 rpm? and like destroy the stall converter?

Yeah I'd been looking to get a manual, but all the manuals I Looked at on carsales etc werent in good condiiton. I found a one owner car since being imported to Australia in 2000, some lady had owned it for 10 years, was in absolutely immaculate condition, no rust no nothing. Only problem was it was auto but I thought eh at least I won't get as many problems mainly because its genuine low km's and it hasn't been thrashed. So I just went ahead with the auto. Will do a manual conversion most likely once I'm off my P plates. And thanks guys for the explaination of the 2000rpm stall, makes sense now. I'm not going to bother with a higher stall because I'm not going to be thrashing my car, just wanted to test the 0-100 and thought something msut of been wrong that didnt go past 2000.

Well after babying my car for the past several days since having it, I have tried to do a 0-100 test, however I am unable to launch it :S. Here is the problem. I loaded up on the breaks, and had the handbreak on, and put the accelerator down, and it wouldnt rev past 2000rpm? I had the gear selected in drive. So why does it do this? :S

Plus i mean I have to drive slow, that way all the chikz get to look at me living it up in my Silvia longer. And hey, for that reason...why would I want to go fast. No, in case you didn't realise I'm at uni. I cannot afford to drive my car fast. I have gotten 300km's and have only used slightly less than half a tank in the Silvia. I am not out to flog the car, even if I could afford, being the owner of a car has taught me I need to take care of it. I've only had it a few days but I've already washed it and waxed it for ultimate shin. So could please stop making an assumption that I'm some car hoon. AS for exceedign the speed limit, in my old car i drove about 5 km's over. which is fine. Thanks
