Did a search and I couldn't find any info (here and google and altavista!) on my Blitz rims, these may or may not be the same as the original posters rims. Original link is broken, so could anyone help me ID these rims? I'm pretty sure they're 18x9's. EDIT: They might not be Blitz rims, I've seen several Enkei rims that look VERY similar but cant tell from the resolution of the pics!

I was looking for an R32 GTR to bring in under the SEVS scheme but couldn't afford it back then. I then waited for the RAWS scheme and was going to get it complianced. Just happened that I found a nice condition 89 model and decided it was just what I was looking for(I had been looking for over 8 months now and the number one requirement was it had to be black and good condition). Car is coming in February and I figure when I sell it, I'll treat it like a new car with a huge depreciaction. Doesn't hurt so much if you think of it that way! But the bottom line is, I paid close to a 91 model in price to get a good condition one (and remember, I've been looking for a while in all the normal places). "You get what you paid for"

Yeah, I got your number of Quan, only prob is that the car will be in Melbourne in February. I'm just finding info on what to look for and estimating how much etxra I'm gonna set aside to fix it to A1 condition. Car is already bought and paid for so it's just a precation. I've set aside about an extra $6k for a case of the shit hitting the fan. If I spend less...then good, but I'd need to know what to replace/repair first. Workshops may or may not give good advice so I'm finding more information about skylines in general. Another issue with buying a used car: What type of tests could I do to the car to check if it is mechanically sound? Compression test should be a must right? Would I need a dyno readout to get a baseline on the car?(After any other mechanical tests of course)

My definition of rice is "If it looks or sounds faster than it is then it's rice". Interior colour choice would not be rice at all, only thing that would matter in this case is "Do YOU like it?"

I was in my mates WRX (only mod was exhaust) and a gemini cut us off when we were looking for a car park...funniest thing I ever heard was a pedestrian that witnessed the incident and yelled out "Watch out for the bloody WRX...couldn't you ****en hear it?" Couldn't stop laughing especially when we overtook the Gemini...guy looked so sheepish and ashamed

Thanks for the reply's guys! OK, for the steering wheel check, does worn equal a matt like finish? rough? shiny? or something else? Where would the most worn area of a seat be? The side bolsters or the seat(bottom part)? Would floor mats be able to give an indication of age/wear? or the actual interior carpets? Thanks again guys!

I'm trying to find out where to look for wear points in a skyline to verify the type of km's its done. I don't have any mechanically inclined friends so I want to find out how to inspect a car. Is there any chronic problems with R32 GTR's? How would I inspect these problems if any? Are there any areas I should be wary of? How do I find out if there has been any panel damage?

I'm in the same boat, but it's gonna be 2 months for me =) So I guess I'm 1 of the 4 thats voted so far?

Has anyone looked at the Road Traffic Regulations here? I can understand wheel/rim diameters but what does "track" must not exceed 25mm mean? I understand that your car must pass ADR's as well as conform to the Road Regulations as well. The thing is this document is missing the diagrams relating ride height and I dont know if my car will pass Regency due to ride height.

Bringing it back to stock would be hard to do because I wont have any stock parts. I'm bringing it in though UPImports in Victoria. BTW: anyone know if I get it registered in Victoria for a year, wether or not I'd need to take it through Regency when I get it registered in SA?

Interesting thread! I'm hoping to get a BNR32 '89 in under the 15 year rule and would like to see what the outcome of this investigation would bring out. I would also like to know if I would need to return my car to stock or not? Mod details below: R34 GTR FMIC Coilovers (unsure of brand at the moment) Exhaust (looks smallish, close to stock) 18inc Blitz Rims (Not sure of tyres at the moment) Car will not come in till January but would like to find all relevant information or else I wont be able to drive it ASAP =)
