  1. This... ..I almost spat my coffee out when I read this!! So funny...well said!
  2. So I went and checked the weight...1589kg. I was close .
  3. Hey Dion! Here's what we need to do! Meet up for a comparo. Find a 'private road' and line up for a test!! My 300 stag feels plenty healthy so it should give you a reasonable benchmark. It's well serviced by City Nissan Takapuna and goes better than the SV6 I had before. If it's close then your ok. They probably weight about the same...haven't checked lately but I think mine's about 1550kg. You should have a slight edge if all is well.
  4. During a nice 800km cruise up north. No wife and kids just me and the sounds..loud!! Oh and good times thru the 25km of switchbacks that is 'The Kauri forest"

  9. Same happened to mine when I first got it. Sprayed some contact cleaner in it and all was good, seems that they just get dirty with dust and stuff. Try that, if not dismantle and clean.
  10. Got mine in May 2010 with 100k on the clock, now has 115k on it. No problems to date and I'm loving it. .
  11. Just awesome mate!! That is one beautiful car. I'd be so stoked having that in the garage! ....... .
  12. 115,000km just clicked over today. No major problems so far. Regularly serviced and driven daily!
  13. I only use 98 now and it runs well. I've used 95 a couple of times lately, when out of town, but only as little as possible till I get more 98. I used 95 for the first few months I had the car and after finding this site and testing economy and performance of the two grades I've concluded 98 gives the best results. Most of my driving is around town and i consistantly get around 12.0L / 100km or 8.3km / L (in-dash computer) on 98. I've checked the in-dash fiqures against pump readings and it's pretty accurate. These readings get considerably better out on the open road. Oh and my engine is the same as yours just a little bigger and with the 5 speed auto.
  14. What about these guy's. http://www.cvt.co.nz/index.htm Might be worth having a chat to.
  15. There are several good shops over here on the shore, two I have spoken to about my rwd 300 recently and both claim to have fitted units before. All I need to tow is a large trailer with either two road bikes or three dirt bikes + gear. Both confirmed that this would be no problem so I'll be getting one fitted at some point soon. "A1 Exhaust & Towbar" or "North Shore Towbars" here on the shore in NZ would be the dudes to call for specs and limits.
  16. Ha ha...should be right up their alley then,
  17. I really want to know what these guys are saying. It's a long one! Russian 'Top Gear' anyone .
  18. Spoolin12, that is such an awesome shot it is now my desktop background.......is that wrong? . Such a good stance as well. That's how I want mine to look. Do you mind letting us know your wheel tyre combo etc. for that look. Cheers.
  19. Nice looking car man!! It would look better without them but they do serve a useful purpose, at least for me. When it's raining and the cars full of kids I always like to crack the window a tad. Also when it's hot and you're parked up you can leave the window down slightly and you can't easily see it. And when you first take off and the interiors about 100 degrees you can have the window down abit, the hot air is exhausted quicker letting the aircon cool you down quicker without outside air being blasted in. They do work well and at least they're thin, but I also think the stag gets away with them better than your V, having a big square butt and all .
  20. Guess this is the best place for the following. Just did a skim and rear brake pad replacement on my M35 300RX. All went well and feels perfect now. The pads where a stocked off the shelf item and where listed for the M35. They are Bendix DB1509 GCT and are a perfect fit. Cheap at only $80 total for both sets. They are the ceramic tech ones with titanium stripe (no bedding in). The fronts were changed earlier and are the Bendix DB1232 GCT. Too easy!
  21. Allright dudes! I've got a price back from Nissan here in NZ regarding the rocker cover & seals. Firstly, the seals are not replacable, as we have discussed, and torqueing the bolts down will probably make no difference as they only need about 10Nm. The part is ex-japan (of course) and takes about 7 days to get to NZ, now the good bit - it will cost NZ$550. It does however come with the gasket , but this is for the part only, labour is extra . Damn! If you went down this track you may wish to install yourself...not hard to do!
  22. When it arrives I'll give you all a heads up with a couple of pics. I'm not going to copy the manual as it's more than 250 pages long and that would also probably be illegal. It's just an owners manual though with all the basic stuff in it, same as you get with any car. It tells you what does what, including a sat nav translation and has run of the mill info in it. If your mechanically minded it's not going to tell you much more than you could work out yourself, but it's nice to have and completes the car!! It is well presented and looks very OEM. I think it is worth it!
  23. Dave, I'll bring it over and show you when I get it. I've still got to come over and drop off your other item, so how's mid next week. Cheers!
