saw a black Ferrari 458 italia in the city todayon Sussex street in Sydney CBD. Wish I could have gotten a photo but was driving. Must be one of the first in Australia??

Yeah its in Singapore and as far as I know isn't matte black anymore.. Gone candy red hopefully he's taken off the batman badge then!

even though the one in the 'van op photography' photos has gone and spoilt it by removing the nissan badge and stuck the batman logo on.

In Singapore you go from L's - which you're only allowed to drive with a qualified instructor - straight to fulls once passing the test. It's not easy to get in Singapore, on your L's you have to go through about 36 modules on your L's with the instructor and just keep practicing with them after until THEY believe you're ready to do your test. Took me about 40 hours at $30/hour - not cheap. The only thing there is you're on probation for the first year (half points) and have to display a fluoro triangle in your car but with no restrictions (seen Ferrari's and Lamborghini's with these!). So I've only had a license for a year and a half, but with 8 months previously on L's which wouldn't count here

I can keep a look out, i live in a complex of about 800 apartments and generally if people are getting rid of still-decent things like tv's (the big back ones), chairs, fans etc they leave them in the carpark, got myself 2 bar stools recently that were in fine condition!

Well when i was pulled over at an RBT (driving an outlander) i showed the queensland license and there wasn't a problem but the cop was real friendly as he was from the next suburb over from my old address there. I only got my full Singapore license in December '08 so I've got a while to go to get a NSW full license.. But all i'm on is a student visa, so should be ok? The only problem I've had with my Singapore one was that a cop in Queensland found it a bit dodgy for a white guy to have a Singaporean license, I can only assume he thought it could be a dodgy 'paid-for' license. I think I'll just continue on using either license really as the RTA site seemed to say that as my visa is temporary the international license is fine.. EDIT: i'll still be here when I've held the license for 3 years so i guess if needs be i'll just do it then

That's the thing. QLD Transport didnt mind that at the time I had only gotten my full license 4 months beforehand because it was a full license. the RTA told me that it's all about the length of time I've had any license at all and if its under 3 years then i'll need green p's.

So based on the fact my student visa is a temporary one (4 years) not a permanent one, there is no need at all to convert anything. Right?

I have a Singapore international license which is a full license, got it in 2008, and lived in Queensland last year so got me one of their licenses and they had no problem giving me a full license based on the fact my international one was full too. Considered changing to a NSW license but the RTA person I spoke to said I'd have to do my green P's, but if I just keep my other 2 licenses there shouldn't really be any problems. However, I'm looking at getting an R33 GTS-t and as I've read, a Skyline is a magnet for police and they'll try get you for anything they can, so would anyone know or have any ideas on the situation I'd be in? As I do technically have 2 different full licenses, but under NSW law based on how long I've been driving for I should be on green P's. Any opinions??

if this is still somehow for sale come the end of july (i pray it is) i'm definitely very, very interested. overseas for a month from tomorrow though.. how has this not sold since being posted in feb???

By Biomed carpark do you mean the botany street multi storey? think i've seen this car in there a few times, looks great. they make it stupidly easy though to steal a car from there if, obviously, there are no CCTV cameras in that whole carpark?? The lighting in there at times can be shocking at certain times of the day. Can't believe someone would have the nerve to steal a car from there though..

I've only been in Sydney since March, international student at UNSW so I'm gonna be here for the next 4 years.. hopefully. Seen so many awesome skylines around the place and would love to get my hands on an R33 soon enough. Been lurking for about a month now and only decided to join now for some reason! Hopefully the classifieds section will be my friend eventually!
