  1. i'd buy it but i've only got 10k at the moment so good luck with the sale dude pretty mint condition apart from that little scrape at the back.
  2. hmm, spooky. i saw an r34 25gt on carsales a few weeks ago, it was white, a manual, a 2001 model, two door coupe, and had done 62000km and the guy was asking for $10500 (where he could easily get at least $15000 - $18000 for such a clean N/A R34). there was no phone number provided so i tried contacting him through carsales and got no reply, a week later the advertisement was removed. definitely must've been rebirthed, stolen or whatever. i thought it was too good to be true anyway but just thought i'd inquire about it lol.
  3. take more pics, especially of the damage you've pointed out and more interior pics.
  4. very informative post, cheers but yeh i have $10k at the moment and within a few months i'll have saved another $3k-$4k so i was thinking about buying a 2001 model n/a skyline r34 25gt. i had a look around private sales, but the thing is all of the 25GTs are modified in some sense (same applies for the R33s) so i was thinking of having one imported with low genuine km and no mods whatsoever (preferably a coupe with grade 4 or above) thing is i'd also rather have an N/A R34 25GT, because it's more recent and generates more HP than some of the other N/As. only thing stopping me from importing a clean r34 25gt is my current price range. (most of the ones at import dealers around sydney sell them for around $18k-$20k too) and yeh, i'm not a wannabe drifter lol, i don't like burning out the tyres then forking money to replace them. (directed to one of the other posts)
  5. I'm buying my first car and I have been reading up on Skylines and am interested in learning more about them. Although, I'm just wondering for my price range, are N/A R32s worth buying? I will most likely save up an extra $3k-$4k in the coming months (and I need a car before February of next year) but yeh, how much do the N/A R32s go for and are they easily maintainable; would I have to fork out a leg or two just to keep it running and all that jazz? Cheers.
  6. oh you can't? and yeh, thought so. cheers anyway eps.
  7. nah, i mean would it be cheaper to import an R34 GT as opposed to an R34 25GT? i guess the price would depend on which year it was made in and what grade it was, and the mileage etc. what are the prices for the R34 GT like, landed and complied? i mean, it's only my first car and i would rather much prefer the R34 25GT, but that being said i wouldn't mind an R34 GT either, even though it uses the 2.0L engine. i have $10k at the moment and that definitely isn't enough for an R34 25GT (especially since i want a nice, clean, stock, low km skyline), landed and complied but what about the R34 GT? (it's probably unlikely to find it for $10k landed and complied, but i just thought i'd ask) but keep in mind, i'm still saving and adding to that $10k; i was just curious about the price of the R34 GT landed and complied. thanks for the inputs guys.
  8. hmm, would an r34 gt be cheaper to import as opposed to a 25gt?
  9. in short, nah man you can't, customs tariffs on their own cost roughly 6k - 10k, or maybe even more in some cases. you'll be looking at about 15k in total, landed and complied, maybe a little cheaper, but you'll get nothing with 6k.
  10. yeh, i'm after a manual coupe, not a big fan of the sedan skylines but that's just me; good job on that import, did you do it through a vehicle broker who import cars or did you do it yourself through a japanese auction? also, cheers for the inputs guys
  11. shit sorry i forgot to put that in lol. i'm looking at 10k - 15k but i'm still saving at the moment, got till the end of the year till i save up a bit more.
  12. Hey guys, I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong section or anything. I'm on my P's and I was wondering whether I should import a Skyline or just buy one locally. I've done a bit of research into importing a used Skyline and it looks pretty complicated; I've looked around locally and most of the decent non-turbo GT's and 25GT's are a little out of my price range. So, would I be saving a bit of money if I imported a non-turbo Skyline 25GT or GT? Basically, what I'm asking is, for my price range, what could I do? What are peoples suggestions? Should I just save up a bit more and buy locally? Thanks guys. P.S. Nice forum. =D
