  1. ok, so I've got to get a new oxygen sensor to be compatible with the wiring loom? I have power fc though so factory ecu doesnt affect me. The funny thing is with it all disconnected, when I select o2 on the function select it still seems to idle a little bit smoother? Does the rb25 have another form of 02 idle control I dont know about?
  2. Hi guys, My car came with Tomei air fuel gauge from Japan, and the wiring was a little dodgy. I have disconnected the gauge and now just want to reconnect the o2 sensor to the factor wiring loom. Can anyone tell me which goes to which? The idle is a little unstable and I've switch o2 sensor off on the hand controller (apexi) cause the o2 sensor isnt connected. The three chords coming from the left of pic is from wiring loom, I'm not sure if this has been tampered with to adapt the gauge, there is four (black, grey, white x 2) coming from from the 02 sensor.   4. I've got the Stealth FX too. Can be handy if you have standard computer and have bad over fueling due to stock ecu sending air that is vented through your aftermarket bov. FX helps this by allowing air to be vented back into the system and to the atmo as well. adjust your ratios and no worries...
  5. maybe the wastegate is opening prematurely for some reason? why wouldnt this be the same as on the high boost setting thou?
  6. ts wierd, it takes twice as long to build up to half the boost. set at 10 psi on low setting, and at 5000rpm when it should have been at 10psi for 2000 rpm, its just slowly ticking up to 5 psi. But switch the switch and 19 pound at 4k? Dunno whats going on. I know these pneumatic systems are a little unstable and dont hold boost pressure as well as a ebc or external gate, but never had this problem before
  7. If you think about it JimX, the R1 can do 0-100 in just a fraction over 3 seconds, and lets say its good for 10 sec quarters, which it probably is. Its going to be doing at least 180+ when it goes over the 400m line, with plenty of steam left... the RS just wont compete with that up top. Your right about loopin it though.... specially that two stroke power ban!
  8. Hi. car is playing up a little bit. Have 2530 and turbosmart rocket launcher dual switch. Just started laggin the other day for no apparaent reason, and wouldn't boost till up in the 4500 -5000rpm. I thought shit, turbos ****ed! But when i switched the boost to high it came on perfectly normal? Boosted hard and pulled all the way? I cant figure out what would happen to have these effects? any ideas anyone?
  9. Hey, I understand the feeling you have, I would be real nice to just jump on the bike and go for a spin, tee shirt and jeans.... They look real mean, honda or yammie and with a nice helmet, maybe tinted visor you'd be da dogs nuts. The biggest problem with this theory isnt you, your ability or even the bike. Its everyone else. Take it from someone who saw his dad killed on a bike not that long ago. You can be the worlds best rider, go to work on da back wheel, endo at the lights, weave through all the gaps, but doesnt mean shit when old mate whos 75 and so arthritic he cant turn around to check his blind spot pulls in on you and you've got no options but turf it. I did the proper liscense training and time on my two fiddy (its alot longer now though..) and I feel that the time spent was extremely valuable. The most beneficial part was the pre rider training that is compulsory for L's. They dont teach you how to ride, they teach you how to make cars notice you, how to react, how to be aware. This is vital, especially in the city. Id recommend, since you've got your heart set on the bigger bore, do the compulsory training at least, even if you dont go ahead and do the test.... By the way, 98-2000 model r6 are quite cheap now, and are great bikes. But the new kwack, Gix and Cbr are lookin mean! And whose this guy sayin his 250 will smoke my R1? come over, I'll drag you any time mate...

  12. Just wondering if there is a way to reset the peaks on the power fc hand controller while driving? they reset when the car is switched off, but cant figure out if they can be done while on the move

  14. yes, boost comes on quick, you gotta be very careful in the wet. I love the response of this turbo. Ive raced a Datto 1600 which had 190 rwkw (and was considerably lighter) but just couldnt get me because boost didnt come on for him until the last 2500 rpm in his rev range. Lag sucks huh? Anyone want to hazard a guess as to what sort of power increase I would get with an extra 7psi up top?
  15. Hey BOOSTD your right, I just figured out that I've been looking at the sheet wrong the whole time!! Yeah The car still has lots of potential, may as well go electronic boost controller that should fix the problem, although HKS actuator would help with this setup soon.

  17. Hi again, the injectors are standard as far as I know, as is the fuel pump. The 265's are michelin sports and they have about 60% life left in them. They are a good tyre though, and I haven't seen any wear since I brought them 3k ago, second hand when I got the mags. the fronts are only 5% worn if that, and have heaps of life left in them. 216 rwkw was made @ top boost, at about 6000rpm. Obviously the pneumatic turbosmart system is inferior to an electronic boost controller and the ebc will net a better power figure and curve when installed and tuned correctly. You can pick up a boost control kit for the powerfc which is excellent and allows boost changes via the hand controller. They are about $450 down here, but they may be a little cheaper up in qld..? shan
  18. Hi Blu32GTR, the injectors will only spike over 80%, only over by 3 or 4 percent. The dual stage boost controller has its standard setting on about 12 psi, and with the launch switch activated the car runs on 19-20 psi. The guys at unique auto sports have set all this up on the dyno and I havent tampered with it, except to turn the boost down a couple of pounds as the days have gotten hotter. Its just had a new (reconditioned) engine put in under 3k ago, spent over 6 grand and have reciepts for all the work done. reason for replacement engine was incorrect tuning for australian fuel, (modded ecu in Japan) and new tune via power fc is healthy and clean. If price is too much for you I will sell cheaper with standard mags, there is over $15000 worth of extras alone on this car so I think price is reasonable,
