  1. mate have a go. I love the yammies, but the new gixers are starting to look mean too! Power is irrelevant, they are similar and you're never going to get a chance to thrash the thing within an inch of its life, gotta respect these things or you'll end up arse raped on the asphalt. I think it comes down to personal preference and rideablilty/comfort. I have a 2000 model, it was my favorite of pick, as after this they changed the shape a little and I didnt like the curves as much. I got an undertray which eliminates the dicky rear fender, and took some of the stickers off, looks cleaner all blue. Also you can pick up 98 -2000 models for under 10 g if you shop around. good luck with your choice
  2. I have an r1 in the garage, and believe me, only italys finest or Japanese heavyweight is going to beat one of these in a straight line. Hows 135km in first gear sound, with five more to go? If you know how to slip the clutch and keep the front down, even the four wheel drive traction makes little difference. Likes its been said, your gonna need near 900 rwkw to match the power to weight of these crotch rockets, but give em a go, they love some sort of challenge!!
  3. man I could cruise in dat Porsche all day..... everyday...
  4. Found a digital voltmeter (score) and a japanese mcdonalds voucher, plus photo of what I can only assume was previous owner
  5. I would just like to say a very big thankyou to the Internet Skyline world out there, namely, SAU. My life is a better place since I found this forum! All jokes aside the r33 is now well on its way to being sold and there seems to be a little rain cloud following me around everywhere I go. I didnt want to see it go, but other things in life are popping up which demand more focus (and $). I cant believe I just said that. I would like to say a very big thankyou to the people who co-ordinate and monitor these forums, my hat is off to you, gentlemen (and ladies?). Although circumstances will probably force my next car to be a cheaper, more simple (read: gutless volvo!) ride, i will continue to surf the forums here, for the sheer amount of knowledge and general goodwill expressed throughout. I have yet to find a better thought out, diverse and larger site than this one where enthusiasts of similar interests can get together and share the joys and perils of their machines. I wish all the best for this site, I has been great to see it evolve dramatically even over the small time I have been on it. Good luck to you all with your toys, maybe when I hit the midlife crisis I'll get that GTR i've always been dreamin off....
  6. thanks Ultimate, *(even though your post has dissapeared?)*
  7. Yeah nice Krzysiu, Always good to have a comment from you.... Just what does your car have that makes it good enough for 250 rwkw? What sort of extras and service history/ km's?I'd like to point out that there isnt alot of difference between the series one and two, and I wonder just how reliable your car is with this much power, assuming you have no aftermarket ecu. the powerfc allows a much greater scope for tuning in the future, and with a fuel pump upgrade and maybe injectors I can see this car easily reaching similar if not higher outputs to your car. I'd like to point out that the car is for sale for $23000 with standard mags, I just know how much money I've spent on this car in the last six months, and I could have brought a GTR for whats been spent. If someone wants to offer me what they think the car is worth then go ahead, but I dont think your in much of a position to critise the value of the car without even checking it out.
  8. Ok. Do you have email? I'd like to ask a few more questions about the car and maybe get some more photos. My only concern is the klm's, I dont want to buy a car that is going to cave in. But you seem to have been taking care of it, belt changes and service wise. Do you have reciepts for the major service at 110000? Are there any problems you've experienced with the car at all while you've owned it? And where abouts in Sydney are you located?
  9. Whats the brass button clutch like to drive? Was it really necessary, i.e. was your clutch slipping under power?
  10. Hey is the car still up for sale? Looking for a good 180 in Sydney area, the skyline is up for sale..
  11. More pics now posted above, Feel free to make an offer on what you think its worth.
  12. Hey Matt, I'll send ya some pics tonight, 1030 onwards when I get home from work. Oh and by the way, we are the first owners in Australia, as in we picked up the car from an importer, and the odometer reading is 60000, but you never know with these imports. Its just had a re-conditioned engine put in and tuned properly with the Apexi pfc, not 2500 km ago. more pics coming tonight, plus dyno graph.
  13. Yeah Thanks Ultimate, cant say I would not have poked a little fun at it myself if the roles were reversed. Ha, just gotta laugh I guess... take it easy in da VN....
  14. Hey Sewid, Yeah, that might be an option... Few things though. I was working on a custom indicator install, so its had a few mods done to the bottom vents. These spaces, bottom left, and bottom right have been filled with indicator lenses and have metal brackets on the back to hold them in place. It als had a little damage, which mostly has been repaired, and its nearly read for painting. There is the insert for between the headlights and a plate that fits between there and the radiator, covering the fmic (if you have one). I can take some photos, if your interested and send them, it was a little project that I never got around to finishing, and was just going to sell with car because its nice to have a spare front bar there for a rainy day..
  15. Thankyou all for correcting my over enthusiastic zero finger. I was a little emotionally overcome with the decision to sell the car and perhaps my subconscious was trying to divert any chances of this happening... If anyone is willing to pay the typo price then by al means, my bank account number is... No the correct price is $24700... suddenly Ultimates post makes more sense to me : ) Sorry Guys. $24700 with everything or less without mags or other extras.

  20. be interested in swapping with cash adjustments for modded r33 gtst skyline?
  21. Yeah, we brought the car from an import yard and it had a standard ecu that had been chipped by mines in japan. Basically it was running to lean and the engine detoriated over time until it gave in. We paid Unique Auto Sports (castle hill, Skyline and 300zx specialists) to find a good low km engine and re-condition it. They did the install with the new clutch and belts, and tuned the car on the dyno with a powerfc which I had to buy cause stock chipped ecu was useless for australian fuel. I have reciepts for $6000 dollars worth of parts and work, and only done 2-3k since then. car is always warmed up before boosted and kept in good condition.
