  1. Sorry, what I meant was I'm currently on 6psi and was hoping to go to 15-18psi with stronger internals to get to a target of hopefully 450ish rwhp. If what OP said is true and that the HKS 3037 kit for the VQ will top out at 400rwhp on pump fuel then spending the money on a built engine and winding up the boost is not cost effective if I can only get an extra 50hp. Again, sorry if I confused anyone.
  2. Geez, if that is true then I'll scrap my plans of getting the engine built and stay happy with my 350-360rwhp. No use spending all that money for an extra 50whp.
  3. If its the same parts as a 350Z I'd be interested.
  4. Maybe one of you can hook up with the local representatives of Zclub in WA and organise something. The current model Zeds and Vees are pretty much the same platform and we could do something together. Pity Victor has headed east as I remember he used to organise cruises and a couple of Zeds like myself used to turn up.
  5. If you are going Friday I'll see you there!
  6. Great day today at Barbs! Nice to meet the father and son team. In case you can't remember I was the one with the Zed !
  7. Do I need to get new throw out bearings as well?
  8. Great write up as I will be embarking on my engine build this year. Quick question, I've already got all the ancillary stuff in place and I'm currently looking at a clutch/flywheel combo to suit and then I will have everything in place ready for the extra power. You seem to have done a lot of research already so what would you recommend? Aaron
  9. I've got one in my Zed and I completely agree!
  10. Ahhh.... E85.... if only I could buy it from a petrol station instead of 200L drums. I'm not a big fan of having a couple of those drums in the garage during summer...
  11. I've had it on for more than 6 months now and so far not a hint of any problems. I track my car monthly and do give the poor girl quite a bit of stick but so far it's held up really well. I was hoping to get at least 500whp with a built engine though but looks like it might not be possible...
  12. Just a quick question mate, I've got the HKS 3037 single kit as well with about 350whp on stock internals on 5psi. With a built engine are you saying that even running more boost you'll top out at about 450whp?
  13. I get my 350Z done at Tokyo Motorsports and I'm sure I've seen a V36 there before.
  14. Interesting? I was actually the winning bidder of the seats on eBay and when I tried to contact the seller I was informed that the seats were already sold ages ago on a private forum. Lo and behold as I was trawling the Internet looking for seats I find this thread, which ironically still has the link to the eBay listing and it's still for sale. I guess that I won it at too low a price and he's unwilling to sell so he gave me a made up story. Nice one mate!
  15. I got my 350Z's ECU remapped via Osiris/Uprev when I did my turbo install, runs just like it came out of the factory without any issues at all. If you are interested give Jamie a call from Tokyo Motorsports and say that Aaron sent you. Lots of gains to be had from a tune even if your car is stock. Good luck!
