I still think they are a rare sight. Victoria st/city and Chapel st are concentrated areas for exotics and expensive cars so it makes sense to see them more there. I remember parking my GTR on chapel st and as I got out and shut the door a black one cruised past slowly. At the time I thought 'are these things common already!?' until I saw two gallardos that same day on that same st. (Although having said that there is a lambo dealership 1k away from that spot

Racepace I hear can do Cobb maps for the R35. They use Akropovic exhausts and I think have done a few other things for cutomers e.g. brakes. Ben is a GTR tuner and I hear is a bit of an expert at working and tuning the older GTR models. Can I get a discount Ben for plugging?

IF that GTR owner did that, he would come across as a jealous dick. ANYBODY that actually OWNED an R35 would know that reversing that fat bitch with poor rear vision would attest of the difficult nature. I have no issues reverse parking my s15 without correction. But to scratch my $180,000 car because I didnt bother to put a reverse camera would make me as moronic as you. You might have some credibility if you actually owned/drove an R35. Until then...go back to the s15 section. However by all means come to my house and show me how well you can reverse my car in tight spaces, dont forget the huge kerbs and low stance of the 35..and the fact the rear quarter vision is dismal. But when you own an R35...well...the buck stops there doesnt it? BEFORE I owned an R35...or a modded s15...or the Audi S5....when I didnt have the kind of cash to own these lovely cars...well, I didnt bother to buy a poser, a serious under-performer and dress it up or drive it like it was a legit sports car. I know where I stood in the hierarchy of things. This fake it till you make it crap...cant stand it. Save your money...wait till you have something to be proud about. Dont jump in so early getting the poser car or try-hard sports car...it looks bad and breeds poor ethics on life advancement... like guys driving shitty old BMWs with fake M3 badges. God WTF?? I just had a crappy old honda accord for years until I had the money to choose a PROPER sports car, one that earned respect, track, street or garaged.

My Audi s5 is stock. (it gets me around to and from work) My GTR R35 2010 is stock (so far...akrapovik exhaust and cobb tune later)...I want the sound and I might as well make the most of this beautiful exhaust...basic logic there. My S15 2002 silver has 232rwkw. (I cant lap the tsukuba circuit in a stock S15 at its best...does that mean my mods were pointless? (rhetoric question clearly). The reason I did the mods on my s15 is a due to this word...you may have heard it...E-M-O-T-I-O-N (its what drives us all) Dopamine release, Serotonin hitting those 5-hydroxytryptamine receptors. Its the essence of all human life. In short...it makes me feel good when that boost hits and the exhaust roars and my s15 pins me to the back of my seat. I smile...mission accomplished. Just my opinion. any other non-GTR owners here care to tell us how to own and drive our GTRs? ...or spend our large wads of cash? Peace brothers

Mine is an ADM 2010 model purchased right off the boat in July. For $4000 front and reverse cameras (EEK) I might use this dorky mirror system. Im interested indeed. How does it work? Where do you put it? What is this intercept box? ps. My headlights do not go off when I open the door. They take some time to turn off. Perhaps 15-20 sec or so? Maybe more...just guessing really. I shut the door and lock it and walk away (people just think Ive left my lights on...as people are always watching me park the car...due to it being a GTR and all).

Just need some advice. So I have owned my GTR for 2.5 months now and have decided that I really do need that reverse camera. Getting sick of reversing like an old lady because of what I cant see due to those fat hips on the car and poor vision. I called my dealrship to see if they can recommend me a place that does the camera on the GTR and the person on the line gave me a place immediately (as if its a very common question he gets asked!)...anyway what irks me is this. He ended the conversation by explaining to me that although doing the reverse camera won't void my warranty in itself...if they find something was wrong DUE to the reverse camera then the warranty is void. I didnt say anything but was kinda pretty shitty about that comment. Can anyone tell me of any and all possible scenarios where this remote incident could occur? I want to still go ahead with it but I would like to know of what if any scenario would eventuate where an a problem with the car is connected with a reverse camera being installed. Don't want to give nissan even the slightest reason fo trying to void a warranty if something goes wrong. Thanks.

Nice. My 2010 white GTR has 820km after 2 months. I know I know...lame that I dont drive it as much as I should. There are dozens of reasons the original owner needed to sell. e.g unexpected child (some people find the need to sell cars when children come...weird), sudden finance woes, trading for an r8 or something (some guys have ridiculous amounts of money and dont care about losing the money on a super short car turn around if they find 'meh....dont like the GTR'. If your in melbourne Kev lets do a twin white beast drive by.

I would say the condition of the paint is brand new. The car is always garaged and has only done a measly 1200km. I thought I would get a proper detail first then try to maintain myself. Wow you were not kidding when you said detailer hobbyist. I respect your enthusiasm. Props.

QBE are pretty good. I used my dealer finance guru to twist their arms. Buying the car from him gave him the motivation and incentive to swindle the best deal for me. I bascially handed him $30,000 deposit cash and said I'm not buying this car unless you get me such and such insurance set up. He knew someone who knew someone who could make the impossible happen. Leverage...use it
