  6. It is with great regret that I have to sell our beloved Skyline...have a baby on the way. 1996 GTS-t series II manual Nice clean car in white with stock standard body and interior, duco in good condition with no rust. Straight, no accidents. $000's spent since we bought this, engine rebuild, coilovers, rims + tyres, alarm/ immobiliser. Lots of mild modifications. 96k on the odo, 7k since engine rebuild. $14,000 With 4 months rego, RWC Located in Bundaberg, QLD Mods (the good news) Engine : Rebuild 8 months/ 7k ago. I bought this from a dealer and it had bad compression in 2 cyls so complete rebuild and new coils etc. $3,500 spent so timing belt, waterpump etc. all done. Full details available on request and I'll give you the dealers number for questions. Turbo: Rebuilt approx 18 months ago, steel exhaust wheel. Solenoid removed so runs up to std 7psi throughout rev range. (done by PO) HKS turbo timer Exhaust: HKS Super Drager from turbo back. 3" with 5" polished stainless steel outlet. Intake: Large K&N pod filter (fitted 2 months ago). Z32/ GTR? AFM (done by PO) Suspension: BC Racing RS series coilovers. Height and rebound/ damping adjustable. (6 months old) Currently set to 345mm rear and 355 front (wheel centre to arch). Wheels: New rims and tyres (8 months ago) 19"x8" Enkei LF-11 in gloss black (8 months old). Interior: Clarion head unit, new 6.5" Pioneer in rear, new 6" Sony fronts (need fitted). Looks as good as a 15 year old car would. All switches, windows etc. work. Factory fitted sunroof, quiet, doesn't leak, buttons work. Dual airbags, cold aircon. Alarm: New alarm, immobiliser, remote central locking. 2 remotes and keys. (8 months old) Other: New battery (8 months old) Just serviced (5,000km service) My TODO list (The bad news) Head unit needs fitted properly, missing the factory brackets. It works but not great, first project. Missing some lining in the boot covering battery, priced this up at $50-$70 2nd hand. No glovebox, just a black perspex plate. (PO saving weight?). $60 2nd hand. Rear parcel shelf could do with recarpeting, PO had 6x9's in. Usual handbrake, gearshift boot a bit untidy. There's nothing else wrong with the car and I'm happy to let a mechanic/ RACQ look over it for serious buyers. Nobody deserves nasty surprises and I'll happily discuss any genuine problems before haggling over the price. Car is in Bundaberg but for a serious and ready buyer I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance for inspection. Contact: Dave m: 0458 797 736 e: [email protected]

  8. It is with great regret that I have to sell our beloved Skyline... 1996 GTS-t series II manual Nice clean car in white with stock standard body and interior, duco in good condition with no rust. Has been 100% reliable and my wife's daily driver. Still gets 350km to a tank around town/ country, more on the highway! :-) $000's spent since we bought this, lots of modifications done already but nothing that would attract the law or be cause for defects. (QLD). 96,000k on the odo, 7k since engine rebuild. $15,000 ono. with 4 months rego, RWC Located in Bundaberg, QLD Mods (the good news) Engine : Rebuild 8 months/ 7k ago. (done by PO) HKS turbo timer Exhaust: HKS Super Drager from turbo back. 3" with 5" polished stainless steel outlet. Intake: Large K&N pod filter (fitted 2 months ago, wished I done sooner as opened up the engine massively. Nice induction noise and noticeable but not obscene blow off valve noise). Standard smic Z32/ GTR? AFM (fitted by PO who obviously had plans...) Suspension: BC Racing RS series. Height and rebound/ damping adjustable. (6 months old) Currently set to 345mm rear and 355 front (wheel centre to arch). Did have this 20mm lower as seen in the in garage pics but too low for Bundy's speed bumps! Wheels: New rims and tyres (8 months ago) 19"x8" Enkei LF-11 in gloss black (8 months old). Interior: Clarion head unit, new 6.5" Pioneer in rear, new 6" Sony fronts (need fitted). Nobody deserves nasty surprises and I'll happily discuss any genuine problems before haggling over the price. Car is in Bundaberg but for a serious buyer, in a position to buy now and isn't going to offer silly money I'm willing to travel a reasonable distance for inspection. 9. Hi all, Been looking through this as mine seems to be running on full boost all the time... standard boost gauge sits just below the line from around 2500-3000rpm all the way to 7,000ish. I also get around 275-300km per tank (using 45l as I never run it down past 1/8th full). I just whacked on a pod filter yesterday and had a good look around the actuator/ solenoid after reading this as I wanted to see if this mod had been done. I think i'm missing the solenoid and the actuator has been plumbed into the intake pipe. The vac line leading off the pipe that goes into the actuator has been blocked off too. Can someone confirm if what I have is full 7psi all the time since I have no solenoid? :-)
  10. Hi mate, I"m selling these: 17x8" and 17x9". Offset +35 so go perfect on a GTS-t. Pics in the thread with them on. I don't need a swap but I'm open to offers on mine, please have a look and lemme know what u think. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/342947-fs-4-tri-force-zelda-white-17x8-17x9/ Cheers
  11. This bloke does: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...&hl=snorkel :-) I'd be keen to know if the snorkel would fit on an R33 stock airbox.
  12. I just got a set of the BC racing coilovers too, black and gold ones BR type. I'd recommend them too but don't have anything to compare them to other than the coilovers with the rooted damper that were in there before. :-)
  13. Search "coilovers" and you will find lots of different results, that's what I did. Bit of reading but if you really want to research then that's the best start.
  14. Hey, I've used this before when working out clearances. http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp Dial in the stock wheels, then the new wheels and it calculates how much closer to the guards and inner suspension components rims and tyres end up. Also useful way of calculating overall tire diameter for different profiles/ widths too.
  15. Glad u sorted it, I've been following this as I occasionally get the same problem. Do you also get bad fuel economy? Sometimes I get bout 250-275 from a full tank with mixed city and country toad driving. That's about 14-15 l/100km which isn't good. Does the afm get used in fuel calculations all the time? My other car has a MAP sensor instead so wondering if the AFM does the same. The other thing might have been O2 sensor but that would give you rough running after warmup if it wasn't working.
  16. I think Bundy raceway is a bit longer than 200m it does also claim to have the fastest karts in Queensland though. Maybe they run on cane sugar ethanol?
  17. Don't forget Bundaberg raceway! The track is at least 200 meters, maybe even 210 if you take a windy line!
  18. Sticking these on ebay soon. Is $400 a fair price? I just looked at other stuff around and figured that was about right for the condition. I just need to make back some money towards the new rims I bought. :-)
  19. I have a staggered set of Tri-force Zelda's in white for sale. Nice rims with big dish but not really my taste, came with car. Size: 2 x 17x8, 2x 17x9 PCD: 114.3 5 stud Offset: +35 With 20 studs. Looking for $400 ono Can deliver within 50km of Bundaberg for fuel cost or local pickup. Rims have been used for good few years but in good working order (look straight and are airtight) One has a bit of gutter rash, pictured and one is missing the centrecap. Surface finish is tarnished but a good machine polish should see them good again. Two of the tyres not roadworthy the other 2 are borderline, will need replaced, just keeping them on to protect the rims. Can strip to freight at buyers expense. Will ship if buyer arranges courier, can drop at depo in Bundy. PM me if interested and I'll give u mobile number.
  20. So I been diagnosing handling issues, very bouncy over bumps. Found the damper adjuster at the front, stiffened them up which helped heaps. Rear still bounced around though, pulled the rear seat and shelf out and tried to adjust, rear right more pronounced bounce compared to the rest adjustment did nothing... got under the car and it seems the damper part is rooted. The shaft actually moves around inside the coilover part and I have no damping at all (which explains the noise, should have had a better look first, I know!) :-( So, is it expensive to have a coilover rebuilt? (Assuming it's just the damper assembly that's screwed). Or should I look to replace them as a pair with something else. I like the spring rate (12/10kg based on matching up pics on the JIC website) and the firm ride is great. Wasn't planning on spending $$$s for a while but it's stuffed so wanna fix, in the most cost effective way. I've mailed shockreco.com.au but keen to know if anyone else has done something similar. I have searched but only really found people weighing up buying them, not fixing them.
  21. Thanks, I wasn't sure what that was for either. I don't think I'll be playing with that for a while though. :-)
  22. Thanks guys. They do look like JIC actually now I see a picture, colours of the springs and locknuts matchup too. Was just hard to browse the available ones and guess! Looks like dampers are adjustable by turning either a knob at the top or a ring at the bottom, so I should be able to stiffen up the dampers and try to get rid of some of that bounce. One thing I do notice though is that if I hit a dip in the road (such as tractor marks 90 degrees across the road, then I get a good metallic clunk noise like as if it was bottoming out, but doing this on the down travel. I took it to a mechanic today and he reckons that's pretty normal for a sports suspension setup since it has steel plates instead of bushings? Does this sound right? Seems odd that it only does it on one side. Anyone else using this setup and get the same?
