  4. GT-ES ES, STANDS FOR ESTATE.
  5. Im a bit like you, i enjoy my driving, and Skylines love those twisty bends and mountains, when i was younger well i did i guess the same as young guys today do...I guess nothing really changes. i find the l20et a very reliable motor and i enjoy it. even the straight 2.4, 6 is more than adequate, i think im starting to mellow. Mario.
  6. Good question Mate, all i know is the c210 was released in october 1977, and were facelifted in august 1979 to the c211, They continued up to july 1981, so they made a plenty. Except in Australia Nissan imported only 30 a month, because it was under a import quota system Nissan decided to import other models which were cheaper. The c211 remained mostly in Japan some were scatted around the world, but Japan held most of them. The Australian Govt: was always protecting the local car market from these type of cars. can you imagine if Nissan had imported the c211 turbo here what would holden and ford do to match the Japanese cars thats why they wanted Nissan to drop the GT logo, and Toyota too they and the insurance companies would not have it so Nissan dispec: their cars and put GL BADGES on them and removed all the top goodies found in the Japanese cars. When the R30 came it too was dispec: look at the difference of your car compared to the local Australian Delivered R30. Cheers.
  7. Mate if i were you i would grab that, i have not seen a c211 for a while now. later on you can decide what you want to do with it. They only appreciate in value. When i found my coupe it was a mess. this car looks straight. Cheers
  8. Sure is good old Anthony, He is part of the c210 Mafia.. he is a good friend of myself and Drew. We need to make him an offer he cant refuse.
  9. Yes, believe me, the l20et, is no fireball so if power is what you like it will not deliver. but its good to enjoy your driving, and check out the girls along the way. If you go too fast you get to miss their looks.
  10. Sure did mate, and sourcing parts was a pain in the A..s.! Thanks for your comments
  11. the gtes is the top of the range, if you can manage to take a photo i can tell you what it is. I dont need a plate. some cars came here with no plate, as mine did.
  12. Im sorry to here about your stolen car, I have been approached overseas by kuwaite buyers, i was offered eye watering amounts especially for my coupe, i refused. ive had this car since 1983. Cheers
  13. GT-ES TOP of the range in c210, full electrics the roof console had a full stereo system, top of the range seats, GT-ES in the c211 again full electrics but in April 1980 included a 2 litre turbo. Cheers. and a noisy analog clock!
  14. The GT REALLY STANDS FOR GRAND TOURISM, The GT IS THE FIRST, GTE HAS THE EFI THE GTEL HAS THE 2 LITRE CARBY GTEX HAS THE EFI ITS AN EXCECUTIVE VERSION, AND OPTIONAL EXTRAS, BUT AGAIN 2 LITRE THE GTES IS ALL ELECTRICS WINDOWS ETC, But would you believe it has an analog clock that is quite noisy ticking away. one more surprise there was a GT.D VERSION IN THE C211 A 2.8 LITRE DIESEL!! And it that crankshaft which is worth a packet it can be used to beef up a c210 to a 3.1 litre with triple webers Of course not forgetting the 1800 4 cylinder c210 which was the Ti. Cheers
  15. Well said, in Victoria my cars are on permit plates i use them on club outings, and on occasions. If you are lucky to get one preserve them, and get old with it as i did. Mario.
  16. Honestly mate grab it, the c211 was imported to Australia 30 a month. The c210 400 a month, so the c211 is hard to find, even if you hang on to it, its still worth money.
