  1. cheers mate. I spotted a website where they sell the rear wheel bearings (V35) and same bearings for Nissan Stegea NM35. Anyways, all I need to do is to make sure it's the wheel bearings. Fingers crossed, I will take it to a mechanic tomorrow and he will go through it. I'm so disappointed as I look after that car a lot more than I do myself. Anyways, piece of metals. Thanks a lot mate, appreciated.
  2. If I can figure out the problem, I reckon I can do it, but it's hard to identify what the issue is. Therefore I need someone who can do it and tell me the exact issue. Thanks for your help. Just wanna repeat the question I asked earlier on, the rear wheel bearings of V35 compatible with 350s or Maximas? any idea?
  3. that ticking noise does affect the car and its performance at all, but if you have no idea about what it is, kind of annoying. I have been fooling around melbourne to find someone who can tell me something about that bloody noise coming from the rear end of the car. It seems like 80% rear wheel bearings are playing up. If I need to change them, where can I find them? 350's or Maxima's rear wheel bearings would suit my 300Gt V35 Sedan or not? Any idea? Thanks in advance.
  4. The noise is still there and it's getting louder as you go faster. We will check the rear bearings tomorrow. I have recently discovered another issue which is bloody strange. I dont know the name of the part bu I have attached the picture. The arrows point the location where i get 'tik tik tik tik' kind of sound (as if something is broken inside) when u accelerate in idle. you just hear it when you get up to 1000rpm and then its gone. you don't hear it while driving. what the hell is wrong with that thing? it shouldnt make that sound right? What is that thing sitting on top of the engine?
  5. where is this place in melbourne. I need someone who knows about v35s.
  6. Thanks for your contributions guys. Highly appreciated. I have just checked the rear wheels and it seems like there is nothing wrong with the bearings as when I spin the wheels there is no disturbing noise. and I reckon bearing would make a grinding noise as metals touch each other. However in my case its more of an exhaust sound. you know the custom exhaust systems that make 'vuuuuuuuuuuuuuu' kind of sound. Mine is similar. It's not too loud but still disturbing as I like quite rides. The exhaust thing I was talking about; I think I was misunderstood. 300GT and 250GT has single exhaust outlet with double tips. So mine has double pipes on the left hand side under the fuel tank. The questions was when the car is in idle, smoke comes out of only one of the pipes. the one on the right hand side is pretty much dead. however if you step on the accelerator then the second one turn on . So it might be the way it should be or is there something wrong.
  7. Hi all, I have got a 2001 300GT v35، currentle at 90.000km . Quite recentle i recognized that when i go over 70km/h , some kind of noise is coming from the car. Its like driving on an unevensurface road. It keeps making that humming noise, no so loud but still annoying. When i drive, it feels like the noise is coming from the back of the car, i assume it might be the exhaust system related issue, but not sure. By the way as u know v35s have dual exhaust outlets at the end of thecar where the smoke comes out. When the car is in idle, it seems like only one of them is active. No smoke is coing out of the second one. Is it normal or do i have an issue. When u step on the accelerator, the second one is also becoming active in my case. Thanks in advance
  8. That's a realy rip off mate. I got my V35 insured for %750.00 and it is comprehensive. Well I called RACV first and they asked for 3k. Then I called Justcars then got that quote. As long as you keep your eyes on road, you will have no contact with the insurance. Coz some people said ohh well RACV is this and that. What I think is they just selling their names. Other companies would provide the same service for a lower price. I havent had any claim so far, but I reckon Justcars will take care of me if I have.
