did you clean the POD filter recently? i used a k&N recharge kit on mine once and applied to much oil which in turn stufed my MAF sensor give it a good clean with crc MAF cleaner and see how it goes i took it to 5 different mechanics wasted money on CAS coils Ignitor fuel pump then to find it was the MAF

yeah but thats the thing it only does it in the morning and its for like 3- 5 seconds this noise happend out of no where every oil change i do i use a full flush fresh oil filter eith wesfill or ryco mostly ryco after warm up she drives fiine -

i dont think its oil filter i explained the problem to a mechanic i work with and he seemds to believe that what im describing is maine end bearings on the way out so looks like my engine is shot -

hey guys appreciate the feed back. Though i have had the timing kit done about 10K ago and every oild change i do i use engine oil flush. Im using penrites hpr 10 whish is a 10w 50 and the noise is more metalic like its not getting oil back to the top of the engine in time on a cold start once she is warm you shiut the engine off and start it up she doesnt do it any other reasons? -
hey guys had this problem since last week i start the car in the morning to go to work and for the first couple of seconds i get this realy noticeable loud knock ticking coming from engine bay. ive toped oil and even chacged to a full syn oil after running a high performance mineral 20w-60 now im runing a 10w-40 syb still same problem any ideas? car is fine to drive no los in oil pressure what so ever

Hey guys i just wanted to find out if there is a way to tell if my coolent temp sensor id on its way out... The reason why im asking is because i notice when it rains my hood looks like theres a fire underneath it steam comes off it also i heard that if the coolent sensor isnt working properly it could make the ecu run rich.. now i am getting poping and farting from the exhaust change gears ive already switched out platnum plgs for bcpr7es gaped to .8 and .75 dropped the boost down from 12 to 10 back to 7 and still is running verry rich. ive played with the timming a bit thinking that might help but all it did was make the car lean out on boost so i set it back to where it was before./ Things ill look at aswell is an 02 sensor but if ive missed anything let me know thanks =D

Hey guys lately been tackling a little issue with my idle. What is happening is once the car is warm at opperating temp. The revs sit at say around 600rpm when im sure its soposed to sit up around 900rpm for a manual. Anyway i checked over my vac lines and there was no leak that i found though i did look at the intercoolerpipe and noticed that it had been rubbing on the chasis and caused a cut throught the driverside bottom pipe so i used multi metal epoxy and patched it up (good stuff by the way i recomend it ) but still had the same issue i also tried cleaning the aac and resetting the screw but still i turn the screw nothing changes when i want the idle to rise but when i turn it down the idle drops.... I also played with my tps yesterday and notticed if i adjusted it forward it fixed the problem. but once i turn the car off it resets back to the way it was before.... Any ideas guys?????

yes ive had my bad terms with wet filters took the car to three mechanics cost me around $1800 to fix. The car was stalling and getting flat spots. so they said was fuel pump changed that didnt fix the problem then we changed ignitor cas and coils still the same problem got the shits after the third mechanic so i called up irwin who workes for skyline spares in wetheral park nsw. he went in his shop came out with another afm said try that instant fix man told me never to use a wet filter the AFM is verry sensitive... though evcer since i got the fuel pump done ive had trouble starting it well atleast i think it was after the fuel pump i didnt have the car for 3 weeks had all these mechanics tinkering with it... dont get me wrong she starts but its verry hard drives fine

Hey guys just wanted to get your thoughts on what i should be looking at next for my car in terms of modifications.. i already have the following.. - Full 3" sports exhaust - HKS FMIC - Tien D150 coil overs - RDA slotted rotors front and rear - DENSO 50mm Hi-Flow fuel pump - New coils from a GTR S1 (there the same as gtst -.-) - New ignitor - HKS mushroom air filter Thats about it i think. I want to focus on power and reliablity as the car is a daily driver that hits the track every now and then. Im more looking into getting a new ECU.. unfortunantly there is no nistune for this model so id like to know if you guys have found any decently priced ecu systems.. the car atm is running verry rich... not that i have had it checked you can smell it.. Any thoughts and ideas are welcome P.S if anyone knows of any maitenance tips that are often forgotten could you fill me in just want my car to be as fresh and healthy as it can be thanks. =D

Crank angle sensor??? is that what you mean?? and the ignitor? hmm could be ill get the mechanic to check them out for me tomorrow thank you =} anything else i should check? -
Hey guys so last week friday my r33 gtst decided it would break down on me. Thought it was a fuel pump so i organised a new one through work and gave it to my mechanic. He thought it was a fuel pump issue aswell the car would cut out randomly. anyway i got it back today and all was well untill the car reached normal opperating temp then she woul cut out and wont start up. if you leave it for 15 mins or longer she will start up again. i took a quick look at the lines and they all look good but when i checked out my piping from the intercooler i noticed that for some reason the intercooler piping closest to the plenum had been rubbing up agianst the chassis and caused a nasty cut in the pipe which i thought could be the problem so i managed to get the pipe off and use a bit of quick steel + tape to patch it up to atleast get me home. i thought it worked but again it broke down has anyone come across this issue????

Hey guys I have a set of tien coilovers in my r33 gtst theyve always been stiff since i got the car. I dont realy know to much obout coilovers but is there a way to soften them up? i know for a fact there is no dampner contril on it there just plain height adjustable coils. Also ive been told that they may be screwed from the previous owner having the car to low but at the same time people have told me that the spring rate is to stiff, like i said dont know much about coils if anywone could give me some useful info id be happy thanks =D

Hey guys i have an r33 gtst s1 and there seems to be a noise like something is lose ive checked the area roughly and didnt find anything they seemed lose but just incase i put some foam padding under the parcel tray. My next thought that it could be my shocks i have tien D150 coils all round and ill be honest they are stiff as shit. Ive been told that when they go to stiff the shocks are gone but others told me that it could be the stiffness rate is to stiff for australian roads but on that matter could it be some sort of bush thats worn out i only hear it from the pasgener rear side. Sometimes the noise is a little rattle but when i hit a bump it sounds like its bouncing off a surface then hitting down hard. Any thoughts?

Honest opinion go get ya self 5L of HPR10 its basicly 10w/50 awsome stuff i used to run it before i started using royal purple. For about 50 bucks a bottle i reckon its the best but if ya lucky enough to splurge $100 on royal purple id sugest you get it best oil out i reckon temp is down. Pressure is always smooth and idles awsome

Hey guys im coming back to this problem as its starting to get cold =]. I know there is a DIY on how to remove and reinstal another core but for the love of god i cant find the f**king thing =S. If anyone still has the link or if its still even up can thay link it to me plz i wana try to get this done on my day off on friday. =D.
