  1. Hey guys I have a set of BCPR6EY's in the car at the moment as quite a few of you have recomened them as "the" plugs to have. Yes they are awsome i have no problems with them atm... accept for one thing... According to Repco and Super Cheap auto they are stoping production of them. So what plugs should I be moving to? Current mods RB31DET (blueprinted botom end) Rebuilt, Port and polished head Pod filter (more to go on very soon) thanks guys

  5. i was 18 when i baught my skyline it was my 3rd car (none of them written off or dammaged) and I got a lown for the money. All in my name no gurrantors or anything... and yes i work in IT. The car now has a RB31det in it and goes rather well
  6. its just cheap sub $90 from brisbane car sound. AVALANCH is what it has on the cone of it. dosn't say anywhere what sort of enclosure it needs. its cheap so I'm guessing a sealed would do? in the boot Everything - Mainly techno and rock - gf uses the car so she plays her pop, r&b, soul etc etc
  7. hey guys I have got a 12 inch sub that needs to be boxed.. thing is I have heaps of old MDF board laying around so was going to just bang it together myself just was after any dimentions or design's that i can use. thanks guys
  8. I used the rb30 powerstearing pump bracket - bolts straight on and no problems to hook everything up.. Mine cost me $20 from the local commo wreckers. about the compression ratio.. honestly when you get going I don't think you will eaven notice the difference. Off boost the car is still more than able to pull your house down. I personaly think you are wasting cash that could be spent elsewhere. Just a question that I have for you all. What Oil should I be running in my motor? Atm im running Castrol GTX3 (up to done 1200k'z) Is this oil ok for the motor? I did the first 500km'z on GTX standard.

RB31det in car! got the car back today.. just got home from runing it in oh boy so good the torque is amazing - half throtle and the car dosnt eaven feel like its working but its pulling like anything. probaly working the hell out of the stock turbo One of the things that was done to my block that I didnt know about was that they bored it out 10though and i was running standard rings when i put it together
  12. sent an email to gates in USA a while ago "I'm trying to locate a particular belt of yours somwhere in Brisbane. The one I am after is the Gates POWERGRIP GT2 p/n 1200 8MGT 30 it measures 1200mm long, 8mm pitch on teeth, 150 teeth. If you would be able to tell me where I am able to purchace this belt it would be greatly appriciated." Rb20LagWagon I know that the r32 rb25DE manifolds will not bolt onto the R33 RB25DET head and the R33 DET manifolds (intake) will not bolt onto the R32 RB25DE head Hope that helps you sus it out a little BTW found a shop to send my car to - Goes in there in as soon as they call me.... Hopefully will have a car back soon Take it easy guys.
  14. hmmm - so sick of my r33 rb30det! The botom end has been completly rebuilt - Balanced everything - honed - cleaned etc etc. R32 Rb25de non vct head is on. Using the smaller na injectors.. just can't get the prick of a thing to run properly!(3months without a car sucks!) Does anybody know who in QLD is good with the rb30det's? I'm at the point of just sending it to them. I have heard good and bad about Sub Zero anywhere else that can be recomended?
  15. thanks for that meggala. my problem is that I have an R33. I have put an rb30 with the r32 rb25de head into my car (old rb25 was playing up big time) I grabed the injector loom from the r33 cut the ends off and soldered on the ends that came with the head (no loom just the heads). Now I am not sure if I have soldered the positive to the positive corectly and the negative to the negative.. Just wondering if there is a wireing diagram for this so i can check it out to make sure its all good... Also wondering what the impediance thingy is.
  16. Hey Guys (this is a repost from the rb30 conversion thread - really need the help) I have got a R31 rebuilt/balanced rb30 botom end with a R32 rb25de head. I am having troubles with the loom and the injectors... So far I have soldered the plugs from the top feed R32 injectors onto the R33 wireing loom... This works a little (dont think that they are all on positive to positive, so I am trying to find a wireing diagram to figure that bit out).. but not the best at all (don't think they are all fireing properly). Any help with this would be great. But if thats not possible. Is there any way to get the r33 rb25det injectors (side feed) to work on the R32 Rb25de manifold. I guess im just after some sort of how to as to what to do to get it working. This is all that is stoping me from going now.. Thanks

  18. hey guys.. I have checked the timing out and it is all fine.. the cams line up with the 2 little marks (10 and 2) and the gear on the crank lines up with the mark on the oil pump - and the crank key is at 12.

  20. Yes the motor (botom end) has been all rebuilt. Crank - Cleaned, Balanced Rods - Cleaned, Polished, Balanched Pistons - Cleaned, Polished, balanched With new rings New Bearings (Main and Rod) Block - Honed, Chemical Clean. Sump from the 25T is on there bolted up no probs. Degreased and cleaned before put on. Head from the 25T is on. New Exhaust studs (2 of wich broke but were fixed) and taped for the oil feed to the head. Original oil feed to head blocked with Plastic Metal epoxy. The fuel rail and injectors were not touched at all during the whole time. They were left in the head at all times. The line from the block is running from the oil filter assembly.. As you probaly know it T's out.. one end for the oil filter, One for the sensor and the other end is welsh plugged. Enginers put in one of the oil line fittings in there for me. I have included pictures of the oil feed. The engine bolted together with no real problems accept that the engineers put the tensioner stud about 1cm to far along. but the belt still feels firm. Could use a little more tension but its not enough to stop it from idoling properly ( I think) And one bolt in the water pump does not line up.. So have to take that all off to fix that up and realign it (going to get a Rb30 water pump rather than use my rb25 one) I have pulled the coil pack's out of the motor put the plugs in them and cranked it over.. They all fire But I am going to get a set of new ones as well. As well as geting some fresh fuel in there (just incase) There seams to be a noise coming from the front of the head So that was my reasoning for asking about the oil line needing to be thicker for more oil to get in? As you will see in the pictures the size of the oil line is not very thick.. But I think I am using the same stuff as you. I have not checked the AFM (I don't know how to) What I am going to try though is some break cleaner over it see how that goes. The cam timing im not 100% sure how to check... From the TDC mark on the crank to the TDC mark on the head I counted 52 teeth.. Apparntly that is the correct amount? Im not driving the car or anything like that.. just trying to get it to idol nicely before I go doing anything else with it. Any further advice would be great! Thanks for your help guys.
  21. Well the Rb30 is all built... but omg she’s a sick little girl. Few things on my part that are bad at the moment... old fuel (2month + old optimax)... so going to dump the fuel and get some fresh stuff in there. My oil line to the head I don't think is getting enough oil to it... It’s fairly thin... I assumed that that the line to the head had to be 1-2mm thick... But I guess its not... Just a restrictor that has to be there. So I'm going to get Enzed out to make up a line for me. Also using old plugs (well done about 20K - so going to get some new plugs for it) It barely idles, when the accelerator is depressed it has a horrible sucking sound from the pod doesn’t rev and almost dies (eventually does) and generally sounds like crap. Next it is going off to a mechanic if the above does nothing for it. Anybody got any advice for me as to what it may be if it’s not those things? Has good compression don't have an exact measure going to get a compression tester onto it.
  22. grab a digi cam and take a snap of it or get a photo of a rb25 motor and draw a big arrow on where it is
  23. gtstii How is it posibly there to "strighten out the airflow" - The air comes in and enters a cylinder its only going to go one way and bend a little around the wire. Its only there to stop ppl with no idea of how to control there hands puting a screw driver throuhg it (or catch somthing that gets throuhg a cheap filter - why you would be using a cheap filter on a skyline i dont know)

  25. have not played with the rb30 one yet... everything apears to be in the same spot accept for a sensor of some sort... going to sus it out tomoro i think... want to get the motor in the car first I will take a pic of them both see how i can go with that. does anybody know about puting the r33 one into the s13?
