  1. Don't be sad, sellers remorse can be a terrible thing.......
  2. Hi mate, pm me if you still have it tomorrow?
  3. Well he does own half of rural NSW doesn't he? Bound to be a few decent chickens there somewhere!?
  4. Hendy has run a few times before, in a Daytona from memory? I hope he cones to join our little community here......
  5. ummmm, make that two R35's IMO, running Classic with always be more expensive that Modern. The cars just need so much more fettling and custom work (if you want to be competetive)
  6. That'll be the car for certain! Small world huh!
  7. I wonder if Hendy's is the one at the other race workshop in my street? There's a 34 GTR (titanium colour) over there getting a cage etc at the minute. And yeah, what's next.... hmmmm, well, Timmy and I have entered Targa Classic Adelaide, but it doesn't seem like anyone else is going to be there! lol.... so I'm kind of loosing my fat for it.
  8. Escort could be great! How much do you want to spend? My mate Stu who's worksshop is across the road from mine has this one. It's bloody awesome, purchaased it turn key "new" out of Europe http://www.rallysportmag.com.au/home/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5633&Itemid=2
  9. I thought we were talking Classic elligability? You know as well as anyone Benny, if you want to go Early Modern, you'd be simply mad to not run a 32 gts...
  10. Yeah but you can do quite a bit within the rules now, I'm certain you could "fix" them...... I was just throwing it out there as another Dak Dak alternative, I do not want, would rather a wart on my cock.
  11. How about a BMW 2002 Turbo? Any chance one could be make into a contender? Stock they were 127kw, 240NM, and weighed a mere 1060kg........
  12. I know he still has it mate. It's actually at my workshop.

  20. Yeah. Bad Nav call that one.
  21. Well, a mate of mine has "8URV8" for sale if you want them. Funnily enough, he too owns a 35 Congrats on your purchase mate.
  22. Just steer clear of anyone prominant in drag racng circles.
  23. Yeah Paul, spot on mate. It was gorgeous, such a shame. Another fellow has been calling me about his build of his much loved 240Z, a car he's owned and loved forever, and has always wanted to "do Targa". He's begun the build, and the only reason I'm not telling him that maybe he shouldn't be risking a car that he has such a huge attachment to, is because he Promises he's going just to finish, not to be fast s such.
  24. Don't let me turn you off, but do keep your eyes open mate. The big issue I have with building a competitive Classic is the huge amount of custom work required by professionals. I've seen it a lot, a bloke spends a fortune building a fantastic old car with heaps of good mods etc, only for it to be damaged to a point of questionable repair. It happened to a mate of mine at Adelaide a couple of years ago. Spent well over $100k on an early RX7, custom 5 link, awesome cage, Hollinger box, hundreds of lovely custom things, only to throw if down a bank hard and wrote it off. He sold all the bits be could and walked away. Very sad. Thats one reason I choose to race a relatively easily replaced car, just find another and cage it up....... That's just my point of view though.
  25. Yeah mate, the 787B was and is a thing of awe...... but it's not quite a road car. I've driven plenty of rotors, from R100's through to Series 8's, and although novel, they don't grab me. I've never driven one that was a "complete package" if you know what I mean. I so desperately wanted to fall in love with a series 6 through 8, but they failed me I don't actually hate them though, but "rotor folks" are always so easy to stir up. Now excuse me while I go purge.
