  1. not that its really any of my business.. but i'd just like to let you know that you can buy these dvds in thailand for less than 3 dollars aud- as i did less than 2 weeks ago - the quality isnt very good on most. but watchable. i dont mean to hijack a thread but i'd just like to make sure people treat this with some caution!.
  2. hey, if its possible can you email pictures to [email protected] Thanks Paul.
  3. i have insurance on a s15 200sx spec r gt - under my fathers name for $1600, through cgu, you can go through a broker who allows unlim mods middleditch, middletech i cant remember the name i'll look it out if your interested. I'm 19 btw. rating 5
  4. akeenan, did you get full comp or third party through justcars? Thanks Paul
  5. its a call centre.. they dont know shit/have no info on it.. unless you ring between 9am-5pm and speak to someone higher than the call centre teamleader in charge, thats my experience anyway.. (no offence to people that work in call centres )
  6. r33 is only just over anyhow, like 3 kw-5kw/tonne, so it only would need something minor done to it i suspect!, if you turned down the boost would that be enough akeenan? wonder how much work would have to be done to a gtir for it to be deemed legal.
  7. whatsort of evidence did you have to provide to just cars that your car legally under 125kw limit? I.e you could do this with a boost controller, or try and restrict airflow, was there certain ways it had to be done? paul
  8. ..get insurance, pay the preimum, then if a claim was made there not going to use the info provided to use a legal vic roads clause to get out of paying the claim? I'm sure it would be in the contract that all road rules have to be followed etc
  9. does anyone know someone who has done this? I've tried to find out information about modification to lower the kw output and the insurance/legality around this but no-one seems to know much I'd be interested in hearing from anyone that has found out if this is viable Thanks, Paul
  10. Al;though your getting away with it with the coppers, would this be the same for insurance companies? I know they'll offer you insurance.. but if you make a claim and they investigate, are you still likely to be covered?
  11. yeah gtir is too powerful for that stupid 125kw regulation, always was going to be s14a i'm looking at now, insurance is a bit more realistic for this too cgu do comprehensive for like 1k if you reg it under parents name
  12. yeah, that list is a load of crap if you find anything out post it here, i wanna get a gtir
  13. i've wanted to find out exactly the same thing for a while now. I've phoned rta/vic roads/traffic unit all say conflicting things. I've asked exactly where the kw figure is measured from, my guess would be the flywheel - but none can give a definiate answer. Same deal with modifications made to the car, for example if turning the boost down on the turbo would mean that it is within the restriction is it legal? - again noone i've spoken to can answer. Not to mention when i rang vic roads to try and find out the answer to these questions and she was frustrated...because they dont even know the answers. paul. ps - you know how expensive insurance is?
