Thanks Nathan (I assume that's you ) Fatz the reason why we team up with RENEW is because in the past we have had trouble getting the numbers but there has been a recent resurgence in the popularity of track days. Rest assured we are not sitting idle behind the scenes.

Ok it looks like I've jumped the gun slightly. We are currently limited to 15 spots on this track day but this could change. I have received notification of 13 deposits so far. This is an SAU world record. I am looking at other options now.

Different Dyno days a year or so apart. So are you saying Amanda that the latest dyno day was in the latest Zoom? Shit, I just bought HPI.

Or you could do what I did with an old panelvan I had. Buy some Heritage Green Interior/Exterior Gloss. Borrow air compressor and crappy paint gun. Wind down the windows. Cut sick. I even opened the bonnet and did the engine bay too, and the engine, the battery, even the water bottle I used to top up the leaky radiator. Oh and the wheels - tried not to get too much on the tyres. Man that was one green car.

I've got a NEO RB25DET with stock ecu, loom, turbo, etc for sale which might be able to be used easily. Just a thought.

I don't think a stock boost GTST will hit the speed limiter down the straight. If it does it will be only just so wont slow you down much. It will be good to see IDO11s and Gracer out there. Stan I'll have to clarify the details of second drivers closer to the day but I think it will just be a double entry payment and up to you to manage the heat of the car. You should have your oil cooler in there by then and the other thing you can do if running in consecutive sessions is 1st session go out for 10-12 minutes rather than the full 15. Come back in and instead of parking cruise out to the main road and down and back taking about 8 minutes. then the second person goes out for the last 10-12 minutes of the next sessions. That should control the heat nicely I think.

Looks like we will get 30 spots. Once they are full it's reserve list time only. Yes we will look after the Victorians Roy, that's why I put a thread in the events section there too. EDIT*********** Atm we are restricted to 15 spots but this may change.

Ok, now that I have your attention. SAU NSW are having an Eastern Creek track day on sunday October 8. I am presently waiting on Wakefield Park to come back to me with regard to availability around that date for a second track day to make the journey worth your while. The date is locked in. Members price will be around $235. Non members price another $10 on top of that but bear in mind that you do need a CAMS L2S licence which costs $85 for a year. A number of you will already have these but for those that don't, you actually need to be a member of a CAMS affiliated club - like SAU - to get one. Again we will need some flag marshalls - no experience required but a sensible attitude is a must. The flaggies that helped out at the Oran Park track day had a great time so don't think it's a boring job. The best part is that you are so close to the action. That and the 2 way radio whoring. The day will be run by SAU and RENEW and I can tell you from experience that these guys put on a very well organised and safe track day. It will be good for both beginners and the more experienced. There will be plenty of experienced people on hand to instruct and make you feel comfortable on the track. I doubt very much whether we would have the slowest car or the fastest so the rotary guys compliment us as a club and they are nice people to boot. For those who haven't been to the track in their car before it is great fun and very addictive. Eastern Creek has a very wide and smooth surface that can give you confidence. I surprised myself on one of my earliest track days by noticing that I was doing 100km/h around turn 4. It seems like nothing now but at the time I was thinking, "I'm going 100km/h around a corner!" Please post your interest here. Now, it's time to get depositing. At this stage I'm only asking for deposits of $100 to secure your spot. I expect there to be massive interest in this one as not only has there been an SAU NSW resurgence of track day interest but it looks like a contingent of SAU Victorians are coming up to beat us up.
