Just driving along normally around town and noticed the steering wheel felt slow and heavy, went home and checked and topped up all fluid levels and checked Tyres, p/s pump sounded fine. When full lock and let go it returns to the centre slowly but I have to help it to do so. Please help... (car is gtt r34, manual, 100000km)

the gtt has about 4-5 connectors that connect to the hicas unit mine are all cable tied up.. I too dont mind the lights up in the cluster but it is better to have no warning lights, passengers be asking, 'why is that on?' is there something wrong with ur car? sorta thing.

hey guys, just installed my hicas lock bar onto my r34 gtt, manual. the hicas light pops in the dash...i heard that there is a ECU for it that you can just pull out and the light will go away..is this true? or should i just take out the cluster and remove the bulb that illuminates the 'hicas' what are ur thoughts...my 'tcs and slip' is on like usual aswell.

today doing a 6 hr trip. An hr in i have little bit of smoke seeping through my shift boot..this has happened to me before also on a long trip... i bent down to smell it and smelled like burning rubber/plastic? or that wool cotton insulating thing what goes around the rubber boot of the gear stick. similar smell to smoke machines, what you get at the disco. has this ever happened to anyone else?? My car is a 98 ER34 GTT manual..it lasted for like 10-20sec then went away,,,the car and everything was fine any queries anyone?

i sometimes use my r34 gtt on track days, but when i try to rip some drift angles it kinda prevents me from doing massive angles...is there a way to stop this from happening? can i disable the HICAS system or cant i? i know it's all part of the rear wheel suspension, what do other r34 gtt owners think of this system or am i using the wrong drift weapon? what can i do to make my baby get some hectic angle drifts!

hi fellow members, i recently bought my r34 gtt, and love everything about it. But the one thing is that the middle part of console and gauge holder scratches easy, along with driver and passenger power window panel... is it possible to sand down the panels and re-spray them? i know that it would be difficult to sand down in-between the air vents and around the power window buttons. And the climate control looks hard to work with, looks as though you have to leave it. Has anyone done something similar? or do you just leave it looking old and scratched. thanks.
