18x9.5+22 255/40 A050s all round.
Would not recommend without serious camber on the fronts, or pumping them hard. Chewed the guard hard on tight corners. Rears were fine.

I was told from someone that after around 500whp you need to start being slightly more careful. I have a mate running 550awhp in his r33 gtr with no issues yet. And that thing takes some abuse - I regularly see him taking it to the drags.

Despite what it looks like in the photos, it felt like I was driving a go-kart. Stuck to the road so well, improved everything about the performance of the car. Loved being able to put my foot down coming out of corners, which I think what was losing me the most time.

I don't know if I feel more sorry for the tyre or the guard
The guard for sure; the paint slightly chipped. Shaved more than 3 seconds off my best time though.

What size wheel tyre on the front?
18x9.5+22 255/40
I ended up raising the suspension slightly and adjusting the damper in the coilover and now it doesn't scrub.

Had some free time, so put my new nismo engine mounts on. Picture for reference (old v new). That old mount was well fuarked.
Lip had attempted delivery today, missed it by half hour Now not getting it until Tuesday :'(
EDIT: The absolute champion of a driver turned around and came and delivered the lip! Pics soon. -
Someone expandafoamed the entire boot. Was so heavy it wouldn't even pop up automatically.
This was the way the battery was held down. Apparently getting the correct sized battery was too hard, was cutting into the plastic.Also he hacksawed off the thread on the gear shifter, and put a bit of plastic over the remaining metal, and threaded a new knob onto the plastic.. "Short" shifter.......

thats sick man glad your happy with it now... just gotta mention i run advan ad08r on the road and i LOVE them so im sure the 050 would be even better

Yes, when it's fitted up I will share for sure. Looks so bare just having the stock bumper again.

Got the car back from the mechanic. New boost controller controlled by the ECU, elbow, lines. Relocated the harness through the wheel well also.
HOLY SHIT the car pulls now. And it is smooth. I never realized how awful my old controller was, because now boost comes on smooth as, and holds all the way to 7200. Feels like a completely different car!
Also threw some advan 050s on the track rims I bought. Lets hope the price was worth the grip. Sunday is the last day I get to feel my car at a small track before I take it around Barbagello. Lets hope everything holds out!
Nismo goodies in the mail! Already installed the nismo shifter, got engine and transmission mounts to go on next swing. They look rock solid, can't wait!-

It doesn't rain mate, it pours. Sorry to hear it.
Isn't that the truth! Had the mechanic ring me up a the next day. Apparently I have some issues that really need sorting on the reliability side of things. The turbo oil drain hose is melted, my boost controller is failing miserably, harnesses aren't routed properly in relation to the high mount. I have given him the all clear to go to town on it to make it reliable before I continue mods.
The high idle was a vac line that someone plugged with a bolt that just blew out, and the hose couldn't take the extra boost. He is going to weld a 90 deg elbow off the turbo, eliminates the chance of that popping again.

Lot of talk here regarding 18x9+30 in the front of a R34 GTT or GTST. GTR Rims, sizing etc.
Lot of people run thin tyres on them, which 'fit'
Can you fit a 265 tyre on a 18x9+30 rim at the front of a 34 GTT?
Does it need guard work? Does it scrub? Etc etc.
Basically want the most tyre I can fit in there.
For bonus query, I plan to run about -3deg camber at the front, and have about 355mm center of wheel to guard.
/shake fist at all you tyre stretching people skewering results.
Let me know how it goes. I just bought track rims 18x9.5+22 255/40 and am yet to test fit. Would like to know what kind of issues (if any) you have with yours.
I mocked it up and it SHOULD fit.

Had a f**king shit day yesterday.
Tossed up for ages whether I was going to put on slicks because there was the chance of rain. Didn't put them on, and stayed sunny the rest of the arvo.
2nd lap, misjudged a corner came off into the grass and took the front lip off, snapped in half. Car now idling at 2000rpm, won't drop. Righto.
Go for another run, popped the elbow coming out of the turbo, day over.
Bought a new front lip, less aggressive this time. Dropping the car off at the mechanic and he can deal with it. -
Haven't updated in a while.
Car has been put on the backburner for pretty much this month. I had a couple incorrect pays in a row so I have been a little low on cash because house is number 1 priority! Even still....
Things I have bought and are in transit:- Nismo solid/short shifter + wavy washers
- Nismo lug nuts
- Nismo engine and transmission mounts
- Braided brake lines
Things I have bought and had installed:
- DBA4000 slotted rotors
- QF1 pads
- GTR style spoiler
I bought the above mounts because I melted one of mine into jelly at a track day. I made the choice to get better rotors and pads because I felt I lacked the confidence to brake late, plus I need something better for when I start hitting up barbs (June 26th!!). I am also on the hunt for rims and semi slicks.
Spoiler looks good. Fitment was meh - holes JUST lined up, but the base doesn't sit flush on the boot. It's raised by 2-3mm on the boot on the inside of the legs. Being black it isn't that noticeable, but it annoys me haha. -
I ended up with a twin C spec but I am pretty sure the Single was 420 PS, around 310KW. My twin is handling more than it is rated to, so I guess the single would do the same.
How do you find your twin plate (feel/engagement)? What is the power rating on that?

Anyone have an idea if 17x7 et40 will fit a 25gtt with 215/45/17 all round?
That's worse than stock offset. You'd be an idiot to put those rims on.
Bob Jane rims do not count as real rims.

What are you goals? To be honest stock is awesome.
Unless you're starting to make solid power, by that I mean over 400kW then time to get bigger
Yeah mate, sitting on 340kw atm, about to go to e85 and aiming for the 400 mark, but probably won't hit it.
As mentioned above, I put the freddy on because I think the standard pipe is ugly. Will go a genuine greddy on the 25/30 though.
Now not getting it until Tuesday :'(

Had my guards pumped so I could fit my slicks under without destroying them.
Also had a pretty big weekend. Put the car on a mates car trailer and went to Antilag Supercruise at Collie Motorplex (1.5 hours down south). Broke my burnout cherry, and had some very fast laps. Car held up great, and had heaps of people wanting to go for a drive (passengers allowed). I do have some go pro footage, but I cbf editing it atm. All round great day.
Sunday night took it to Barbagello Raceway. Came 11/40 with a time of 1:12, and only ran about half the night as I went home early. Had heaps of fun, but a heap scarier than any other track as there isn't much run off and you reach the top of 4th along the main straight, which leads directly into a 90 deg corner. Which is where I got the below shots
Car has been running absolutely mint. Brakes been holding up even after the glowing, no issues on boost whatsoever. Feels so great to have a reliable car again. I do need swaybars and a 1.5/2 way dif if I am to continue tracking it though, I do have a lot of body roll and powering out is "a qtr chicken and chips" (spinning one wheel?)
