when i refer to float i ment when i turn or slightly twich the wheel the back end floats to the side aka rolls to clarify why would aftermarket sway bars be sold if they dont remedy the sway ( roll )of the car to a certain extent , i will be going sway bars link etc , also with my coilovers A sway bar is usually a torsion spring that resists body roll motions. It is usually constructed out of a U-shaped steel bar that connects to the body at two points, and at the left and right sides of the suspension. If the left and right wheels move together, the bar rotates about its mounting points. If the wheels move relative to each other, the bar is subjected to torsion and forced to twist. The bar resists the torsion through its stiffness. The stiffness of an anti-roll bar is based on the fourth power of its radius, the stiffness of the material, the inverse of the length of the lever arms (i.e., the shorter the lever arm, the stiffer the bar), the geometry of the mounting points, and the rigidity of the bar's mounting points. The stiffer the bar, the more force required to move the left and right wheels relative to each other. This increases the amount of force required to make the body roll. In a turn, the sprung mass of the vehicle's body produces a lateral force at the centre of gravity (CG), proportional to lateral acceleration. Because the CG is usually not on the roll axis, the lateral force creates a moment about the roll axis that tends to roll the body. (The roll axis is a line that joins the front and rear roll centers (SAEJ670e)). The moment is called the roll couple. Roll couple is resisted by the suspension roll stiffness, which is a function of the spring rate of the vehicle's springs and of the anti-roll bar hence i would like to see what all suspension mods do first before i chuck coilovers in as coilovers are overated for street use , coilovers were originally created for sport , track , races to allow for adjustability to suit the track and conditions

i will do a rite up , once i get all parts and info i wil colect all parts take pics of them then ill get some pics of job ongoing some work will be done by me , and ill have some input from R.I.P.S and Soichi for the tuning , might just fully replace ecu with a new link so i can have full custom tune not sure yet but like i said info gathering at the mo but keen to start with what is available for bascic bolt on and i hate the rear floating of the stgae so want thesesway bars , keen as i guy who is a mate of a mate here in nz Grant Fisher has a white stagea rwd turbo manual , engine dont look like much but goes hard , look on tradme he is seling it or in NZ performance mag http://www.performancecar.co.nz/articles/2001-nissan-stagea-300rx-fresh-and-clean-158#more-32037

trust me i listen but i like absalutes as so to save money and time and dont get me wrong i appreciated the value of your guys knowledge on the stageas hence the reason im here and not getting a headach on the new zealand forums if it was a skyline or sylvia or most other well known racer cars i would have no probs , but the M35stagea is also relativly new to the NZ market as being the @#$#$ hole of Earth we get everything last
-
thnx for info iAMHE77 well im guna bu all the gear and do all the work in one hit so it is done and yes a little more space would be good as i am going to be doing a manual conversion , with custom plenum etc and a hole lot more got my hands on all the bits needed from a manual axis model so i will be running a manual 4wd stag soon
-
so can sum one expand on this i figure the PM35 bonnet steps up in the middle whereas the NM35 steps down more what are the main differnece in the headlights between them is upgrading to the PM35 front end seem to be the general conseces with u guys?
-
spoolin12 is your stagea the one with the hicas in it who esle has the hicas stagea that has done mods to it?
-
so im being told from u guys that any 350z brake kit will work ??? yet they are telling me you cant use the brake kits on a AWD car ??? your telling me all turbo stags are AWD which i know AWD and 4WD are different they use different diffs , just to let u know
-
so do the PM35 bonnets have a more aggresive higher look to them are they not able to sit onto the NM35 as the MN35 is the only turbo late model stag and whats this is someone making some aftermarket bonnets ?? if so very keen
-
how bout you give me a list of what you ( collective ) have done and ill forward it on , and with R.I.P.S designes they are always sexy and are great qaulity with good results
-
so im confused were u guys going with the group but for these bars or for the group buy on the whitline bars?
-
Bonnets differ ?????

I questioned rob about and if he had any experiance with doing up stageas and he said "shit loads mate" then i said but wait its the new one with the vq25det and he went a bit quite then said "well nissan are moving away from the straight 6 platform to all using vq and vh engines so i might as well start working them" i sad well ill bring my car down and he said " i could look at doing a full turbo kit but wil take sum time to get everything right and tuned etc " but he is really keen to have a look he said he can start with the easy stuf like manifold plenum etc
-
i have been reading on the brembo and willwood sites and they all say that the 350 z upgrade kits cannot be used on AWD vehicles only rear whell drive the 250t rs four stageas are AWD ??
-
#$#$ awsome that means i can get a after market exhaust and get this , perfect get my load sound with th eoption of silencing weird tho this unit sits up by the coverter where as mine is actually inside -part of the rear muffler any way good find as mine had compliance with a ECV on it i can get a aftermarcket one
-
if you got the cash just buy the factory parts from the manual stagea , i know you get one or if you google the boys from jun built a 350z 4wd using the m35 stagea drivline and all the bits etc im prety sure a vq30 manual box can be moded to suit the vq25det then just need a pedal kit
-
fortunatly i got my compliance and warrants with the switch still active and yes it is a silence / power switch
-
what exhaust are you running and so you recon 3 inch or 2.5 all the way thru is best for the stagea ? on another note spoke to R.I.P.S (NZ local skyline experts ) after asking them for some custom work they said using my car for R+D they could make bolt on performance turbo kits , incl plenum, piping ,intercooler , throttle body , manifolds and turbo for the stagea im guna look into the idea of not havn the wagon for a while
-
oh well the dash switch and al that looks all factory and its al nissan parts ? any way its good just want the exhaust from there forwards to be a nice tuned straight pipe
-
so you know what im refering to well im in NZ and mine went through compliance and warrants etc and i still got it its fn awsome , full controll over my exhaust sound level and ye it is a factory some stageas came with a few little extras
