Hey guys, So today my mate and I changed the front brake pads on my R32 GTR. Put some Bendix pads in to last me 2-3 months before I do a full brake upgrade. I have the 4 pot brakes on the back with the gtr calipers (not the v spec ones) Everything went fine, changed them over took photos made sure the shims were all intact and in the correct position/way around. Now, when I come to a complete stop I hear, what I can best describe as a clicking noise. It almost sounds like a CV joint that is gone under full lock. I have HKS coilovers, but I doubt that changing the brake pads would relate to that right...? We took the pads out, put them back in made sure the shims and everything was correct - used brake grease on everything. Any suggestions to what it could be...? Thanks

Alright thanks mate. Yeah, looking on ebay for a C spanner...I haven't been able to find one locally (not that I have put heaps of effort into looking) I haven't actually properly looked at the coilovers yet, do they usually have the model visible with the wheel on? Or is it a matter of removing the wheels and getting right into the wheel well to know what model of HKS coilovers they are.. Yeah, I really just want to see how low down it does go haha

Ah true - I thought so. So it's not possible to take the wheel off and adjust from there? I have a few mates who are mechanics, but I don't wanna go to low and screw my handling! Also after a R32 Gtr front grill - colour doesn't matter, I can paint it. Looked through parts for sale only found one, PM'd him but no reply.

So they aren't just adjustable from the strut top (i.e engine bay or boot?) I don't really have the knowledge to take coilovers out without f###ing something up!!! I forgot to mention theyre HKS Coilovers

Hey, Long time lurker here on SAU... Finally picked up my own Skyline yesterday, a black R32 GTR. Will have picks soon, need to find some daylight! Just a question out of curiousity.. It has HKS coilovers, I am looking at purchasing a coilover wrench to adjust them. To lower it, do I need to take the coilovers out or can it be done from the engine bay/boot? Pretty new to coilovers usually only had springs/shocks in previous cars! Thanks

I live around the Sutherland Shire, Christmas eve 2009 - I had had my Red P's for about 4 months, pulled out of my mates street behind a green commodore (recognised it as the local HWP undercover, as I live near the HWP base for the shire). The cop saw me, pulled over, waited for me to drive past, floored it behind me, overtook me illegally on a one lane road over double lines, then pulled back over, came up behind me again, tailgated me for about 5 minutes, then pulled me over (had 4 mates in the car) did a RBT. He said I had blown over (hadn't had a drink in over 2 weeks) so I said to him if he wants to take me back to the station & discuss how he overtook me, then do a proper breath test & waste both of our times, then he was welcome to. He said I was free to go, went speeding off.

Spotted a very sexy Black R35 at Kirrawee around 7.30 this morning - then a R33 with the number plates "R33 GT" at Blakehurst 15 minutes later.

lol, can you give me the dollar with it? Ever since my mates heard that one they don't stop saying it..

Not sure what year it was - def one of the older ones though. Yeah I know that it may have dramas with rego without a engineers report - but it has rego till jan 2012, by then i'll have my blacks and hopefully the turbo motor back in & engineered for that (if it even needs it?) As for a 328i - i've looked at BMW's and Alfa's - Eurpoean. I've learnt my lesson with European cars & Parts. Costs a sh1tload. Even at mates rates! Never really liked the look of Supras, but would be open.
