Cruise date: Sunday 15th Jan 2012 Cruise times: 8:30am arrival / 9:00am departure Meet location: Rippleside Park Drive, Geelong Cruise routes: Stage 1: Geelong to Lorne via Great Ocean Road Stage 2: Lorne to Geelong via Deans Marsh Road Optional: Lorne to Wye River to Geelong via Great Ocean Road All you V35 hiding in Melbourne, Geelong and surrounds kick it into gear and get out for a great Sunday drive and meet other fellow V35'ers. Ok so if we are wanting to head inland on the return trip. The loop you suggested outside Lorne is mostly a dirt road. I don't think we would want to head out that way. Actually most inland roast out that way are either dirt or local/unmarked roads, which sucks as they look like a heap of fun. Will post up a proposed route and details after work today and see how many people we can pull for it.

Yes, I like the sound of escaping from work! I had been putting a route together, was heading out this weekend to test it. So far it was Date: Sunday 15th or 22nd of January at Time: arrive 8.30am, depart 9.00am Meeting Location: Rippleside Park (just off the Melbourne HWY in Geelong) or Eastern Beach Promenade. Proposed Route: - Travel through Geelong heading out to Torquay and onto the Great Ocean Road. - Past through Angelsea and then stop at Lorne along the beach front. - Then travel back to Geelong and a stop of at Promenade at Eastern Beach if it ain't packed. Optional: - If we are keen for more Great Ocean Road driving, we could continue from Lorne and head to Apollo Bay and stop there. All up its almost a 2hr drive from Geelong to Apollo bay depending on traffic (not including stops). And we would take out the Last stop at Eastern Beach. Given its summer it will be busy. But I will keep you posted after my practice run this weekend. Cheers,

I have the Tanabe Medalion Touring dual cat back exhaust system. Was on the car when I got the car. But it's great, no drone and under acceleration it sounds brilliant. Nice chrome tips too.

Count me in. I wont mind the drive up from Gtown to meet some fellow V drivers.

They look awesome! Hands together (and repeat) for the amazing job you have. Love the colour. How much it set you beck to get them painted? I think if 19x9.5 + 22 with 245/35's all round will fit and do the job, thats what i will do? Rolling guards, camber kits and the bigger wheels and tyres don't make the price cut atm. They look awesome and will be something to aim for in future (i have only had the car 2 1/2 months.lol).

Yeah the I'm running 18" ADR Design 20R7 rims. Wrong offset so they sit way inside the guards and the tyres are triangles, my god the road noise. These came with the car when I bought it, guessing they we slapped on to pass roadworthy. So hence my haste to get new ones. The input has been great and has given me more to think. Thank so much guys!

Yeah the dream would be to have original TE's. I have seen Seibon TE's for around 3k and some 19" Superlap seconds on ebay for 3.5k but they are all without tyres, which is why the Varrstoens seem like a great deal. If you know of anywhere I should look for cheaper original sets I'm supa keen. Just nothing I found fits the budget atm.

I have been wanting to get a set of RAYS TE37s for my V35 coupe for some time now. I just don't have the kind of money for genuines. I found these TE37 Style rims on ebay with tyres for what seems like a great price. The brand of rims are Varrstoen and the tyres Federal 595. I read something about coupes needing a staggered fit (which these are not). Would this be a problem? Any recommendations? A mate of mine used a few sets for drifting and they held up great. I dont need them for that purpose but has anyone heard about them? Any and all feedback welcome. Cheers

I had the same problem and had no clue to what was setting it off. But eventually spotted that my break fluid was low. So when accelerating or cornering or breaking hard, it was effecting the break fluid level and causing the senor to react. We just topped her up and no problems since.

Hi All, Figured it was about time to introduce myself. About a month ago I picked up my new V after having been browsing for almost 4months and finding the one for me Its a Pearl White 2003 350GT 70th Anniversary Edition (auto) Grade 5 import. So it comes with all the Premium model options (BOSE audio + screen etc) plus full leather heated seats and bi-xenon headlights. A couple of other aftermarket extras on the car when I picked it up were Kenwood 2din headunit with FM/DVD/TV/NAV/HDD, Infinity grill and badges, tinted tail lights, Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust system, 18" ADR Design S-07R Rims and a Viper/Clifford alarm and remote start. Got some mods planned, but nothing too extravagant or expensive just yet. Have been enjoying everything about it. Its so much fun to drive, all the features are great. I Live in Geelong and I have only seen to others driving around so the looks I have been getting and the amount of people asking what it is (probably due to the Infinity badges) has been a treat. Only a couple of things have gone wrong so far. The audio needs rewiring, the previous owner did a terrible job so some speakers ain't working. Getting this fixed tomorrow. Battery died a couple of days ago. Was easy to replace though. I have seen a couple of others on the forum have the same problem, I can put up the details of the battery up if you are interested, only cost me $85. Only other problem is the VCD/SLIP light keeps coming on and staying on. I think this is due to the aftermarket rims and the offset which is upsetting the sensor or something???
