  1. Found out the turbo is a to4e03 from a 4-53 (212 ci) 2 cycle supercharged and turbocharged engine making 185hp at 2500 rpm.If anyone is interested. Thanks to Arthur.
  2. Like said earlier i have all the parts i need. Ive done exactly the same thing with a swb pajero except it runs an evo 6 turbo. Other parts i used were; evo 7 intercooler and cat converter, eco 8 mr bov, ts magna efi manifold, siemens 650cc injectors, sx fuel pressure regulator, surge tank with turbo supra in-tank pump fitted inside the surge tank, wolf v500 ecu, 3 inch exhaust with seperate wg pipe, rv4 galant waste spark coils, ts magna distributor, wrx inlet pipe, vr4 galant airbox plus whatever else i cant think of. Everything was fabricated by me in my shed ie exh manifold, intercooler piping, surge tank, throttle body and thermostat relocation, inlet tract etc. I finished that 2 years ago and sold it to a mate 12 months ago without a problem. Like i said its a hobby for me. I picked up all the parts for next to nothingor they came from previous half cuts or cars ive owned over the years and get all consumables from work so it costs me next to nothing. I get a kick out o fputting things together out of parts laying around. My age may not make a difference to anyone, just trying to point out im not a 15 year old time waster with no idea. The wole thing will owe me $2500 including rego not 25grand and counting. But thanks for the advice and opinions, im not afraid of some constructive criticism.
  3. Yeah mate , nothing wrong with turbo, just needs a scrub. The whole point is i have an r34 gtr with around $35k worth of parts in the engine and supporting hardware. The car this turbo will go onto cost $500. Sure i could spend 1500 to 2000 on a new turbo for awesome 'response' which is all the rage at th moment. That will defeat the purpose though of having a cheap daily hack. This is the sort of thing i do in my spare time, i have all the other parts i need to do the job. It will be oh so sweet when i blow the doors off the average r33.
  4. Thanks for the positive replies T04GTR and WOrp3D, from what i can work out its some form of to4e, it came from a cummins from memory. The front housing is very similar to the .7 comp cover that has come on the gt30/35 range. This is probably what it was based off. Id say it will have a comp wheel thats too small if anything. Thanks guys. Now to you other clowns bagging the turbo or me, wake up to yourself.. *I can tell more about the condithion of the turbo while its in my hands than you can from a low res photo. I know who removed the turbo personally and the reason it was removed. * a 2.6 astron revs to around 5000 rpm, the turbo wont be oversped. *im 30 yrs old and have been playing around with turbocharged cars since a lot of you guys were still on the tit! Hey you probably still are..... * 12 years ago i helped a mate take a turbo off an old bus, fit it on an xf falcon and make 560 hp at the wheels whic was a huge amount of power back then. Some of you need to realise if it wasnt people with limited resources experimenting and using a bit of initiative such as the above example technology wouldnt progress an we would all be driving around in pushrod powered falcadores. *Has anyone here ever had any experienc with an old turbocharged 2.6 sigma or such? I think some of the knockers would be surprised with what they are capable of with the limited tech. available. Lastly with such a high number of member im certain there are a lot of people out there with many more years and much more experience who may be able to tell me more about the above mentioned turbocharger than some of the braindead responses that have appeared.   5. Ive had this turbo for a while, its a to4 garrett of some kind. Can anyone give me info about it? It came from a diesel truck. The compressor housing a/r is o.6 and turbine housing .81 Will it be good on a 2.6 mitsubishi 4 banger? Will it need a bigger comp wheel?

  7. Can a stagea 5 speed manual GEARBOX be modified easily to run in rwd only easily or would i need a r33 box? Would anyone be interested in swapping me a rwd box for a s2 manual stagea box if this is not possible?

  12. Im thinking i would rather keep turbo and gate if the lot doesnt sell as ill fit them on another car at some stage.
  13. Selling t67 25g 10cm kit as listed above. Is still fitted to my rs4s stagea that was hit on the drivers side. Turbo is like new with only 6 months use. Car was never thrashed as i was waiting to get a nistune fitted hence i only plodded along to and from work. Inlet piping was custom made to suit stagea and turbo inlet connects to stock airbox. Exhaust was custom made to join cat in actory position. Looks pretty discrete with airbox fitted.Wastegate plumbed back into exhaust. 48mm greddy gate. Note afm stays with engine. I am also prepared to sell whole setup less turbo and gate. Location Newcastle NSW $2500 complete or $1000 less turbo and wastegate. .

  16. Thinking of heading to wsid when i get a chance . My car is a 34 gtr vspec with 381 kw at wheels, Im running 295 pirelli semis on rear and advans on front so traction is pretty good. What et and mph would you guys think is achievable? Its not my first time at the dragstrip so i know what im doing and know how to drive a car by the way.

  19. Still have these. Ive had a few low blow offers, willing to accept a decent offer.
  20. The rolling diamater needs to be the same which they are with different profile tyres front and rear. They are within 2 mm which is no different than having all 4 tyres the same, with the fronts worn 2mm more than the rear. I hav not have a problem and do not see any reason why i will have.
  21. i could only run 255 on the 9.5s really, they are a liitle narrow for the rim if anything. Ive had 245 on 8.5s. They fitted well. depends on the tyre too i guess.
