  1. Guys, My 4WD light is on and the 4WD is not working. The 4WD computer in the boot is giving code 21 throttle postion swicth as the problem. To date we have tried different throttle position switches, different 4WD computers and even different ECU's ( the signal from the throttle swicth runs through the ECU). The voltage at the 4WD computer is 2.4 Volts should be 3.5volts using the switches earth. Using a direct earth to the car it is 4.0 volts. At the ECU the voltage is 4.0 volts. We bypassed the wiring (both positive and earth) in the car directly from the ECU to the 4WD computer. Still had 2.5V. That was very weird. Has anyone had this problem before. Any ideas on where to look?
  2. The 4wd drive light is on and the light on the Control Panel in the boot indicates its on the throttle sensor circuit. I have tried a few things but to replace the sensor is a few hundred dollars if thats not the problem.
  3. My 4WD is playing up on my R32 GTR Skyline. Who know's of a good workshop that has a good knowledge of the 4WD Electronics. I am in Sydney
  4. Bathurst Was a nightmare. We got treated like crap. The first pratice session we got 4 laps and qualifying we got 5. Race 1 got reduced to 3 laps with one behind the safety car. The 2nd race was only 7 laps with another 2 behind the pace car. Some of the driving was pretty bad - but on the other hand they give young drivers 9 laps to learn a track like Bathurst and dont expect carnage. If the V8's are running at an event I wouldn't enter. They dont mind taking your money but give you sweet F.A. in return. We didn't have to lift the car at all. Didn't bottom out anywhere. I will see you at the track sometime
  5. Yeah - I drive a silver R32. I will have to have a look at what speeds I am on other parts of the circuit. The software isn't on this computer. I run the state series primarily with the occasional national event (Went to Bathurst this year but would never go back. They just give you no track time) I run #31.
  6. Guys just to let you know I run a Formula Ford with a Data Logger. My speed around that corner is in the high 70's. I run 64 - 65 sec laps.
  7. I had the exact same problem. I then after a while had my ABS really playing up. Brakes would momentarily (1 or 2 secs) go hard and have zero braking. I took it too many places and no one could work out the problem. I finally found it after much trouble. Check on the outside of the rear diff that none of the dust covers (metal) which protect the speed sensor indicators (hope I have described this properly) have come loose. If they have they can momentarily block the speed sensor from getting the signal and both the ABS and 4wd system use these speed sensors and get totally confused. Hope its as simple as this.
  8. Yeah I had 11psi boost at Croydon. I had only recently got my car so I was unsure of figures. They told me that was a fairly normal awdkw figure for a GTR. I thought it was a bit low thats why I had the car checked at Unique.
  9. That sound about right. I got 208rwkw @ 14 psi (1 bar) and had 178rwkw at 11 psi (0.65Bar) so yours sounds about right
  10. I had my r32 GTR on 2 Dyno's At croydon at all 4 wheels it had 139kw At Unique Auto Sports it had 178kw at the rear wheels at 11psi boost (same as @ croydon) At Unique Auto Sports it had 208kw at the rear wheels at 14psi boost The only other mods the car has is exhaust and BOV.
  11. Hey guys I have a C4 licence and run NSW state Formula Ford series - have done the last 2 years.
  12. Hey guys I tried to go to the website and its blocked me. Has anyone placed the GTR workshop manual on there homepage. If so can you let me know. I would really appreciate it. Thanks guys
  13. I haven't driven any other GTR's. But i have driven many other fast cars. There is no way my car wouold be able to cut a qtr mile time in the 13's. I think it would struggle to be under 15s. Does anyone no a decent shop in Sydney I couls take my car too and get an honest assessment???
  14. I had my R32 GTR Dynoed a couple of months ago. It had a pissy 139kW at all 4 wheels. The place that did this for me said that this was as per normal for a GTR. For a sum of approx $5000 they could easily get me 200Kw at the wheels. Since this time I have heard that Standard GTR's should have approx 175Kw at the wheels. Can anyone confirm this???? Does anyone have any ideas as to why my car would be down so much in power. The only modifications are blow off valves and a HKS exhaust. The importer has done a dodgy job of installing a cat converter - but would this take away this much power. Any advice on places to look would be very helpful. I don't want to go to a shop again as they seem to just want to get your money and rip you off.
  15. My GTR ABS is playing up. It has even locked on (ie brake pedal pushed but no brakes). i am getting a funny noise coming from the abs control box. Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this???
