  1. Hey Guys, Auto One Browns Plains is hosting the dB Drag semi finals this Saturday. Should be an interesting one with promo girls, demo cars, a mechanical bull etc. Although my car is stock I'll be there (Silver R32 V-Spec). Mat
  2. I can recommend the MX5 and would love a clio sport as a daily. Some pretty exciting choices out there.
  3. Yea it's Mat. It will stay oem/stock. Maybe I'll get another one in worse condition and customise that one a bit. For now I'm toying around with my daily driver - a Hyundai Excel
  4. I remember seeing a stock Nismo with 50k km AAA go for over $30k in jap auctions 2 yrs ago. It all depends on what the buyer wants.
  5. Hey guys Sorry for the lack of detail. I will have to come back and update. In short I had an MX5 that my old man wanted to buy and if I didn't sell to him he was going to buy an Alfa. So I decided to sell it to him to stop him from making a mistake. I then saw it as an opportunity to get a car that was different and IMO the best priced sports car going. After testing a few r32 GTRs I decided on the one that felt the most reliable. A stock 93 V-Spec, tape deck, restrictor, original exhaust etc. After detailing it with a mate we found that the paint had faded down through the clear on the roof. So I got it sprayed and replaced the badges. It had aftermarket lights which I replaced with stock ones. Basically as parts wear out I replace them. I am awaiting ignition coils to arrive from Nissan ATM. For its age it's grip is awesome and feels very solid on the road. Sometimes I want to do some light tuning to it but I'm holding off for now.
  6. Anyone played with HKS DMR? http://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/products/electronics/monitor/dmr/index.html
  7. In central Qld watch out for kangaroos from dust till mid morning. Oh I forgot Innisfail. Check Paronella Park Townsville. Castle hill is good. Have an ice cream on the esplanade. Check Magnetic island. Townsvill
  8. Bring your patience. There will be plenty of road works. Cairns sky rail is good. Get out to an island or too and snorkel or fish. Tully has good white water rafting. Airlie beach and hamilton island are worth a look. Steal the nuts off the bull in Rockhampton and order a reef and beef to eat. If you decide to stay in bundaberg, bagara beach is a nice area. Check to see if it's whale watching season. If so Harvey Bay is a good launching point. There is cheap dolphin feeding nearby too. Auto One Kawana is hosting a car meet on the night of the 16th they get a good turn out. Check Noosa out on your way. Check out Bowdens car museum. See if Queensland Raceways are hosting any events when in Brisbane. Go to the Gold Coast hinterland.
  9. Pretty sure there is a white r35 floating round FNQ
  10. Sand it, there are plenty of YouTube examples. I can't comment on colour matching . Let us know how you get on.
