  1. Thats everything that sits in it. i thought there should be holes or something to let the oil run through the bolt ?

  3. Can i fit just a standard washer? does it need to be a special thickness ?
  4. they are standard rb25 cams reground, the engine has gone through two guys here, dondenaso (i think thats how you say it) and Skit_r31 both same setup.... not sure if you have seen them on here before, in the n/a section.
  5. Ive never taken the cam gear off, why would it have been loose or not in enough?
  6. well, stock but reground... i can get a close up of the nut/bolt ill do it now
  7. hey guys, i recently posted up why my VCT was leaking, bought all parts and now it seems like my Bolt holding the VCT camgear in is out too much, the washer looks very thick, not like a normal flat washer, is that normal? the bolt sticks out so much that i cant put the VCT cover plate spring and 4 little bots on. an help appreciated !
  8. Trying to gauge some interest in my motor, not sure what its worth so im trying to sell it for less than half of what ive put into it. Engine is Non turbo, Has RB30block with JUN oil pump and crank collar, just installed, havent done more than 200kms on it. RB25de Pistons with stock rods, Fully balanced bottom end. The head is a RB25 turbo VCT head with reground cams and oversize valves and some minor headwork done before i bought it. the engine has been rebuild and is no more than 1000-2000 km old. Has a twin throttle body intake with progressive style throttles. this has cost me over $10k Haltech PS 1000 will be included as will be all wiring, so essentially you bolt in and go. Will come with the custom made extractors and race pipe, these extractors were made to suit the motor, completley custom cost around $4000 if i recall correctly. they were made in the VL commodore so they will clear the skyline as the VL is more tighter. will come with the 3" side pipe which was another $500 Ill throw in the gearbox, just a standard MX5 manual with an excedy heavy duty clutch put in with new engine, so again 1000-2000kms done on it too. There may be more ive forgotten to add. if any questions feel free to PM me. Price $8000 neg. Car makes around 210kw at the engine so the same as a new commodore to compare and around 350nm. Located in sydney.
  9. Tbh the whole engine has been a f**k around. But I really appreciate you doing that for me. Ill order those parts tomorrow and work out if VCT is even working.

  12. Im so mindf**ked right now, i understand from after writing the thread im missing parts, but why has it started to leak now, this is what im confused about. ill dig up some pics because maybe i never realised it accually had it on. maybe someone took it off, not me onbviously.....
  13. If I put the plate spring everything on is it normal for oil to be in there ? If someone with VCt took the front cover off would oil. Come out ?
  14. All im missing is the cover plate though, if it wasnt run before all thats doing is holding the oil not fixing the leak at all....
  15. - theres a video upon cold start fine as soon as i start revving and warms up, it starts, watch when i turn it off shit go everywhere.
