  1. if the motor is in the car there is absolutely no way of seeing the numbers sorry you have to pull a turbo off
  2. i would go nistune over power fc but it all comes down to your tuner go ask him what he would prefer and do according theres been a lot of power fc vs nistune and it seems nistune is starting to build some steam...power fc has had it's day time to come into the 21st century ang go nistune
  3. fmic are illegal if there aren't any facory mounting points but get an engineer to inspect the brackets made up to fit and quality of welds and your all good that's why GTR's are legal with fmic- stock mounting points- well thats how it is in SA
  4. if you've got your own tuner you can pick up nistunes for like 450 check it out here this is for RB20 http://www.nistune.com/equipment-products-type2.php plus you get live tuning and data logging go have a read on the home website...if you ask me the extra 300 bucks is well worth it less of a pain in the ass plug it in and away you go
  5. dont do the ebay chip bought one myself long ago just for a laugh didn't think it could be that bad took it out for a bit of a thrash to see the difference and i think it lasted a week before it popped...not worth it go get a nis tune or do the eprom chip with these guys as long as you do it with a dyno none of this 'mail order' crap
  6. hahahahahahahahahahaha looks like theres a lot of people looking to kick this guys teeth in ROLF
  7. sorry got a quick question is there any benefit to mod the gtr sump? why not just get a rwd sump that will fit that's already got enlarged volume baffles doors etc. cause i'm doing a 26 into a gtst and get a pan to fit that holds 9L baffles, doors, and mesh windage for $700 or should i mod the gtr sump instead? just seems like a lot of stuffing around that's all
  8. hey need some help guys, i bought a R32 GTR half cut that has a N1 block well as far as i know since it has the 24u stamp on the side and as far as i can tell the numbers on the japanese compliance plate or equivalent whatever you want to call it doesn't seem to suggest it was an original N1 chassis no is bnr32-213002 and model no. kbnr32rxfs aa if anyone can confirm would be great so it seems that someone has swapped for a N1 block or engine so it leads me to believe it should have forged internals?? but before it got sent over the good turbo's and fuel system got swapped for stock stuff as from what i can tell there just stock turbo's no.s are VD 0122J, 14411-05U21, 466071-3 again confirmation would be great. but my real question is i'm actually swapping it into a R32 GTS-T and i've done search on here and have found a fair bit conversion wise into 33's and s13 and what not but not really anything on R32's so what needs to be changed would be great eg what plugs need to be changed to suit and whatever else might not suit are they easy enough straight forward conversions? of cousrse i know the sump needs to be changed and would like some insight with what other people have got sump wise? was looking at getting an ASR oil pan also i can get a hold of some R33 v-spec turbo's for $400 anyone know what these are like powerwise and response should i may aswell since it's out? car is weekender and track cheers in advance p.s. also got all the leftover bits from the gtr half cut if anybody needs some things just pm me things like tein coilovers, lights, abs module etc
  9. your right in a sense but cause it was sitting so low you need the stiffer suspension to compensate to avoid bottoming out...stiffer suspension over stock does get you better handling but not at the stock height. by lowering the car you give it a lower centre of gravity and a better roll centre for weight transfer going through sharp bends with quick directional changes. so what you said is true stiffer suspension doesn't = better handling, but it does when all the suspension is working together and is all proportionate to the car and the tracks you intend to drive it on. don't forget by having stiffer suspension you get better response in the steering as well as being in control of squatting and diving under hard acceleration and braking, but if you hit a couple bumps and it's super stiff you lose traction so it's not always a good thing it all has to be in balance but it didn't handle better at 335 cause it didn't have stiff enough springs had way too much body roll for that ride height
  10. on a stock 33 yes more than likely but on a hotted up engine making big hp then yes it would it's all relative to the car
  11. what about titainium exhausts is there any benefits other than weight?? MS is fine had no problems with my twin x-force on the stato and no problems on my 32 with the jap rsr invidia exhaust
  12. the ride was fine at 335 it was nice to drive it was only rough as guts when i had it sitting at 310 but i didn't mind even though you did lose a kidney everytime you went over a bump lol but it stuck to the road like glue which was fun
