  1. Cheers guys. It has continuity so now I just need to find I suitable switches 12 v. I just checked the one I was using and it only has 10v. No wonder it won't work.
  2. Ahh right so I would need 12v switched on the others if of the coil pin on the relay through to the ecu wire and then constant 12v through to the 12v wire on the points side of the relay. Does this sound right?
  3. Hi guys I am trying to wire my fuel pumps in my rb20det powers Datsun 240z. They work if I send 12v straight to them from the battery, but I can't seem to get them working with a relay. I have flowed several different diagrams from Google with no luck. My main question is, is pin 18 on the rb20 ecu a trigger with +12v or earth. It currently has no power coming from pin 18. Just need to know its not fried. Cheers Mick.
  4. Yeh the engine is sitting Thurther back than the standard engine. It's almost all behind the crossmember. I not sure on the weight difference. I have been told the rb is lighter but I find that hard to belive with the extra waight from the turbo
  5. I thought i would dedicate this weekend to my 240 so i managed to get a fair bit done. I finaly got the engine in so it is now very close But first i have a major hurdle in the wireing of the rb, This has been my bigest fear of the whole build so i will be asking a few questions if i get stuck. Any way here are some pics I had rely hoped that it would have sit lower with the engine in, I hope the king spring lows will settle down a bit after a while
  6. No mate. it has motor in it yet in these photos Once the motor is in it will be rather low.
  7. King spring lows for now untill I can get some coil overs. Can't go any lower than that with out sectioning the struts
  8. loaded up and homeward bound its new home
  9. this week i have been working on getting the brakes fitted up. the fronts were easy as they came in a kit. but the rears are from an r31 skyline and i had to do some work to make them fit, Next week I will be fitting up the brake lines and hand brake cables and hopefully it will be able to stop when i roll it down my drive way I will be rebuilding the rear brakes before the car goes on the road.
  10. More pretty pictures ;D next week i will be putting in some brakes so i can bring it home ( i have a rather steep drive way and would like atleast a hand brake so i dont lose it through the back of the shed
  11. I finaly got the rest of the body painted so now im in the process of jigsawing it back together.
  12. the lime yellow or green as you call it is its original colour and it is rather rear in australia. I know its not every ones cup of tea but i like it. Personaly I dont like black cars. I think it is a boring colour its way too hot especially in an old datsun with a huge trans tunnel and no air conditioning and black is way to hard to keep clean here are a few more pics of todays progress I might even get the body painted next week ;D
  13. As this car ways a little over 1000 kg the rb20 will pull it along just fine for now. I do want se traction after all I will prob buy a rb25 later and open it up then fill it with goodies to make it nice and strong. From what I understand the rb20 can take more punishment than the other rb engines in stock form.
  14. things are still flat out at work but i have finaly finished all the body work and have started to splash some colour on it. unfortunately its hard to get spray booth time so have to do it bit at a time
  15. its not missing on one cylinder in particular no mater which plug lead yoyu pull the miss is still there . It mainly does it on idle

I have replaced the plug, leads and cap. It has been compression tested and has 170 psi on every pot. Can some one give me some ideas on what else it could be

I just had to make them a fraction bigger I now have it at the crash shop were i work awaiting primer so its not far from paint.. 21. no i had no problem with flex. the new/ second hand roof skin fit like a glove. The hardest part was removing the new roof skin from the old frame without distroying it to much
