Cant tell man it has no speed sensor haha . Quite possibly could be near it but how would the computer know if the speedo cable is disconnected ?

Hey everybody just completed my rb25 box conversion in my rb25ed 32 4 door. Now my problem is at 5500rpm in fifth it feels like i hit a wall. It will not go any where past 5500, And im pretty sure its only WOT that it does it. Someone suggested speed limiter. Sounds logical BUT i dont have the cable hooked up ? The reason it doesnt make sense is it will bounce the limiter in the third but 4th hits the wall at around 7000 and 5th hits at 5500. I dont think its fuel as it has a good bosh 040 pump and here it whizzing and all other gears are fine. Now this problem has only just happened after the box. Therefore thats why im thinking maybe some sort of limiter is in place because of it. Related mods that may help find the problem are as follows -FMIC -Plugs were changed about 1000k ago -Nistuned r32 ecu -Bosch 040 -Apexi pod in a box -3' straight through exhaust -34 turbo at around 10 psi Someone suggested just give the yellow wire the snip (53) and try but would prefer to know if anyone has ever had any experiences like this.

Alrighty i have a r32 4 door with a rb25 engine and it had a 20 gearbox. Gearbox went pop, bought 25 gearbox. I have been on the net alot reading up about this conversion. I have got the box in (farkin heavy thing to bench press). Now the crossmember as far as i can tell doesnt line up with ANY bolts so heres my first question 1. Do you use the 32 crossmember so at least two bolts line up ? Or are 33 and 32 crossmembers the same. Have read some crossmembers just bolt up but im not this lucky Also are the 32 and 33 gearbox mounts the same as both the one on the 32 and 33 are pretty shagggy. Does running a old gearbox mount affect anything ? 2. The main question. I have read MANY things about the tailshaft promblem. some say the front half just bolts on and bobs your uncle. Others say just smash the yoke on your 32 shaft and your set. Others say its to long and needs shortening. Can someone confirm anything of what i have said ?.

Have soaked it in wd40.When and if I get it out I'd love to see the spline on the yoke. Maybe i wont even need the front half for my rb25 gearbox conversion. Just bolt the front 33 half on but I have heard that's to long were as welding a 33 yoke on the 32 shaft is the way to go

Ok speed sensor removed. But tailshaft is in that well its not funny. Have tryed pulling it out by tying it to the car and yanking it, didnt work just pulled the box. tryed wacking the living shit out of it and its still there. gahhhhhhhhh

Howdy, I have just removed my fudged rb20 box and found the tailshaft to be in the quite sturdy, I need this tailshaft in one piece so i was wondering if anyone had any bright ideas on how to remove it ? Also how to you get the speed sensor out of the box. I dont want to break it. Im assuming you just lever it out ?

Hey i have recently just purchased a r32 4 dr with an rb25 in it. Anyways the annoying noise is like a loud "ticking" i have diagnosed the speedo as the ticking is in sync with the speedo needle if it makes sense (flicks to the ticking ). It has a rb20 gearbox though even though the doosh told me it was a 25 box. I just did the clutch a week ago and asked my mechanic if its possible to grease the Assembly and he said keep grease away from it. Is this a common problem for them ? I DID search and found a similar problem but it only happened when above a certain speed. Some speed alert thing. Mine happens regardless of speed.

Under went a FULL RWC at the pits not a dodgy mechanic. Has new bushes pretty much every where only nolathane, new upper inner ball joints, 4 rack ends, tie rods, wheel aligned 2 weeks ago and has 4 almost brand new tyres. Passed inspection no worries (made sure it was perfect) -Crashed in the front pushed rad support back into engine sooo headlight, front bar, intercooler, rad support maybe radiator (still holding water and doesnt look bent) bonnet. thats what i can list as damaged off the top of my head -rb20det 4wd motor. Runs well and goes very well has a RB25 turbo with steel wheel 20 acutator bolted to it -17" sparco wheels 8" front 9" up front lowered with RSR springs and upgraded struts, m spec side skirts -Did have FMIC but shes finished, Pod filter, have an adjustable bov but has blocked stock one for flutters -obviously has the attessa system and it has a torque split controller -3inch turbo back blitz exhaust, trust dump pipe -650hp fuel pump, stock computer with assumming stock tune. pulls hard though for a lil 20 So as stated the suspension has been untouched. Buy something like this for 600 http://www.ebay.com....#ht_2084wt_1270 and then you would have a rare gts4 skyline front quarter panels are un damaged . or just pull it back off the be;ts and have no front bar, bonnet and lights. Im thinking of just this my self if i can find a cheap panel beater but if someone else wants it they are welcome to it. would make a shibby track/drift car the car is a repairable write off any questions call 0459302735
