  1. I bought brand new OEM a while a go, they work good, but on 18psi of boost I did have to gap the plugs to 0.6mm
  2. Bump ...anyone?
  3. Done this a few times, with the unregistered permit, you also need insurance. Its about $100 per day all up. So 2 days, plus fuel you looking at $400-600 I would much rather put it on a truck, costs about $500-800
  4. I agree, they should feel firm, but you'd still be able to twist them with a little force.
  5. Got it all fixed, too much timing in 2 cells. Boost momentarily spikes high on gear changes and goes into a few cells i didnt see. Gotta work out this boost controller now...shouldn't be too much trouble, much easier then figuring out timing issues anyway.
  6. I understand the knock sensor isnt the most accurate of devices but its something you can compare. Well took it to the drag strip to do a bit of fine tuning. Looks like its knocking under power, will have to reduce the timing a bit. On the road, i did power runs in 2nd gear, maybe that didnt load up the car long enough. Went to drag strip and i can load it up nice in 3rd and 4th gear, got some nice amounts of knock readings. Would help if i had a quieter exhausts to listen for it.
  7. Rb25 (stock) Apexi Power FC Got the car running to pull pretty strong, 18 psi. Do a run in third gear and get knock readings of around 35. Pretty happy with that. Do a run from first gear to third and it gets knock readings of about 70, only in the brief moment when you are changing gears. Cant seem to tune this out, if i change gears slowly its fine (but where is the fun?) HKS gt2535 turbo, got about 12 degrees of timing at full throttle 5000rpm+ Is it too much timing?
  8. Anyone have Robb180 phone number, I want to buy something off him.
  9. Well i took injectors 1 and 6 to the fuel shop. They were the easiest ones to remove quickly whilst the rail still being attached. Results, injector 1 flows at 758cc per minute and injector 6 at 754cc per minute. So at this stage, Im just going to assume the other 4 are with in those margins. No idea what injectors they are but they flow exactly how it was advertised, a little more even. I guess if they aren't nismo's they are high flows? Possibly a high flowed S15 one?
  10. Alright here are the injectors. They say a46-00 on them, the otherside is hard to mark out, looks like 0f69936 Cant make what of the injectors. The car runs rich as f**k, barely idles, billows black smoke out the back. Might have to get them flow tested.
  11. Yea didnt do any messing around, injectors in, connect plugs, and started car. Ill pull out injector number 1 just to sus it out... Give me...a few minutes.
  12. Hmm, doesnt sound good. Car is hopefully going in for a tune soon, so we'll see what happens. Car is running like a bastard, so its definitely larger in injectors. The mountain of black smoke on idle is an indicator. I had rx7 550cc injectors in my Corolla, so im familiar with the sort and its not them, besides they are a square plug.
  13. Hello, Purchased some Nismo 740 (supposedly) Installed in the car and it runs pig rich. Good sign that these are larger than standard RB25 injectors. However, the Nismos i have, only have a single hole. From what I gather they are suppose to have a 4 hole spray pattern. Something odd here?
  14. Just bought new injectors, slightly overkil at 740cc, but they were a good price. Mixed the fues hoses though haha, pissed fuel everywhere. Was a good day.
  15. Well how much would you want for your injectors anyway Rob? Pm me.
  16. 89Cal buys Robs injectors, and I buy Cals injectors. Problem sorted.
  17. Any size over 500cc would be good. Need some more power....i reckon 18 psi of boost should get very close to 250kw.
  18. Anyone got rb25 injectors for sale? After something over 500cc
  19. All good, got the flamin mongrel of a thing off. Its those damn stupid 6mm bolts that the rb uses. Took a bit of muscle and patience but, at last. New belt on and tensioned back up. Job done. Just need a new radiator now, the old 31 radiator had leaks in 2 places. Not sure if the gtr one will fit Rob?
  20. Need to borrow the crank remover tool. Anyone please? Also removed radiator and discovered the source of my water leaks. Need a new radiator aswell, darn, more money. Anyone got a radiator to sell?
  21. Sweet, i'll give you a text. You work Saturdays?
  22. Yea, i'll start getting it ready on Saturday, I'll just remove the cover, cas, and accessory belts. If it happens to spill over onto Sunday, then ill keep working on it, only thing holding me back is the 27mm socket. Got a mate with an impact wrench so that should make things a breeze (hopefully) You know if the radiator needs to be removed?
  23. I want to do the timing belt this weekend, so...anyone have a 27mm deep impact socket and pulley remover set i can borrow for the day? Can offer a 6 pack of your choosing.
  24. $8000 with roadworthy and about 3 months rego from now.
  25. There is no ethanol in Caltex 98. Its a perfectly fine fuel to use, its essentially the same fuel as Shell 98
