These laws only change the penalties imposed by already existing defect laws. If the modification on your car doesn't require a modification plate to start with you cannot be defected for it and in turn, cannot have your car impounded. People who believe you'll be going to court for an aftermarket pod filter are naive. It is outlined on the transport site what modifications are required to have modification plates and if you are worried about it, ask your mechanic or DOT yourself. These laws aren't going to change to much, it just pwn's the people with major mods and no modification plates who refuse to fork out for a mod plate after being caught numerous times. The fear response is exactly what the police and transport rely on to stop people from a)modifying b)driving modified cars and c) contesting rediculous fines from police, threads like this and the one on boost cruising convey the exact message they want, modifying your car isn't worth it. What they don't rely on is people challenging police fines and actually figuring out what is and isn't required, do the right thing and stick it to them I say. Not to mention courts will take into account things police do not when handing out fines. You can argue that an aftermarket exhaust, while louder, still complies with DOT requirements and is not requiring of a modification plate, including things such as other vehicles whos standard exhaust is just as loud as an aftermarket one. Arguments such as this will likely be successful in court, if argued correctly. Not to mention the massive enforcement issues with respect to fines and this legislation as a whole. Impouding other peoples cars due to the drivers misconduct isn't going to fly.

Unfortunately you only believe this because you're an A grade tool, and as previously mentioned...I have a compulsion for being a wanker towards A grade tools. Take a tissue and build a bridge marki.
-
roflcopter...I'm an A grade wanker to A grade tools...Josh and I have that in common...you all <3 us though!! Hugs all round...except for you Mark...you and your freaky coconuts stay away

in before the lock or in before thread lock

lol..made_guy, you're a tool and you have no idea. If you're going to bring up spelling you may wish to go back and edit some of your own posts "champ". In fact, I do have a good life, but I fail to see how this is relevant. I wish you luck with finishing high school and your future races against camry's. I think the humorosity is over....may as well close it Mud.

Eug <3..but I haven't fitted my new dump pipe yet??
-
i'm so bored atm, lucky i have that camry racer to keep me entertained...

I and others (if you look) label you a school kid because of the nature of your post, a label you have to date refused to rebut so I could assume it's true. As for "meh" I apoligise for using language obviously below you, you're clearly of such a higher interlect than I....street racing camry's, on suburban streets, through corners and then coming on a forum to talk about it. Basic physics of driving, yes, it's amazing how much you know, yet I fail to see how you've corrected me. My statement was that; despite your belief that you had the advantage of driving in the lane with "perfect camber" (and the fact you had recently fitted a new dump pipe), the camry still managed to keep up. For the record I don't doubt the road had favourable camber, it was probably other factors that caused the camry to keep up, such as driving skill.
-
i'm just waiting for all the diehard "no street racing posts on the forum" users to come out and play.
-
only when i'm racing camry's.
-
don't anyone race me, i just had my dump pipe fitted the other day...my car is now u83r fast.
-
so long story short, in your opinion the lane you were in had perfect camber and hence your car handled like it was on rails and yet the camry still kept up...by going into the "outside lane" which obviously would have had opposing camber. meh.
-
I wont bother entertaining you with a large post, its clear you missed my pun...and i'm well aware of what "camber" is...it's good to see you have perfected it "on the inside". Just have to work on the outside now? btw..tell us all how you did this with stock suspension components?

hai...stopping through....

I am...but hey its 12am, i'm tired and he had to expect it. lol..love for all.

Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?
Keegs replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
It's not how it works in WA, WA has the same structure as QLD with respect to its criminal code and other respective legislation. As mentioned earlier, this is not a criminal matter, it's not a civil matter, it's a TRAFFIC matter!! As for misdemeanor and felony charges etc...too much law and order...those are American terms that are not used in our system at all...you are charged under a relevant act, in this case a traffic and road use act, and it is recorded accordingly. -
afaik there is no power fc (btw power fc's are discontinued) that is designed specifically for what you seek....but I think that would be obvious. You can still install a power fc and custom fabricate the loom to make other things work if you wish. You'll probably have more luck in the FI section with this query.

This thread is hilarious!!! By far the funniest part is this: "haa! you idiot, don't you know i just fitted my dump pipe the other day!?" and this.. (its got perfect camber on the inside)??? Long story short you almost got pwned by a reasonably slow domestic car despite your obvious "race like" driving skill, new dump pipe and perfect camber (on the inside) zomg....it's school holiday time right?

Driving Convictions - A Criminal Offense?
Keegs replied to Spunky Munky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
No thats completely wrong. Whenever you are caught by a police officer, you are being "charged" and when you pay the fine you plead guilty. In this case the offence you committed was a summonsable one (most of the more serious fines are) and this is because the costs of the fine are discretionary. I.E. the judge decides on the merits of the case as to what form of fine and punishment to impose. It is not civil, it is not criminal, its traffic. You are being charged under a Traffic Act. Not a Criminal Act/Code. Anything that is traffic will only show on your traffic history and NOT your criminal history. Good luck in court, plead guilty and try to persuade the judge that you have learnt severely from your ways and the accident was caused by a brief lack of judgement. Perhaps you'll get off easy, it all depends on a) the judge and b) how well you present. My advice to you is get a lawyer, one who specialises in this form of work. Matt. -
and as for the new laws....meh they might do something but people will still do stupid sh*t...it's human nature and you can't change that. Less power might mean a less effective crash and less people in the car to intice it. But it also means more people driving individual cars and in groups which is a down side (for the government)....I dont really care, doesn't affect me and I get to laugh at all the people it does. rofl, l's and p plates, no mobile phones, no passengers under 21, no driving late at night, no powerful cars....talk about pwned..sucks to be them.

are you upset because people think little of you lol?
