  1. yea... my question is how much are you gonna be paying for the bimmer. Having prices to compare against will help determine our opinions on what you should buy. Are they relatively in the same price range? Sorry but i dont know how much 10 year old bimmers go for these days
  2. that car was sold in a few hours after posting. Most of the engine components are peeling, especially the plenum and cam cover, not good for 24,000k's. But on the plus side, no wear on the steering wheel, seat and shifter. Conflicting signs
  3. im also planning to import an R32 GTR with the use of the 15 year rule (if it still exists by the time i decide to import). I think a nice stock car with a complete and consistent service history is most important for me. Id rather have a car with medium k's done but with a full service history than a car with low k's but no logs at all, most brokers do decent checks about the condition of the cars to make sure they coincide with the k's shown but you can never be 100% accurate. Get a nice stock example, if its in excellent condition with low logged k's its worth the extra couple of grand in my opinion.
  4. So are you saying you would consider buying a "Daewoo shitbox" or a "Mazda Poofmobile" if they were actually released? I dont care how cheap the "Mazda Poofmobile" is... i aint buyin it :shake:
  5. "what the fcuk you want officer??"
  6. Were they on when you were busted or were they seen during a regular inspection which is partaken by all skyline owners ???
  7. Are you saying driving a holden is not a risk in itself? Ocean, did you get any dyno sheets from the car?? They claim its arounf 650HP but some dealers claim a lotta things. Itll be very interesting when you get the car fixed and slap it on a dyno... see if the risk was worth it
  8. what about the Ralliart Lancer VRX... with 90kw (at the flywheel) of rubber smokin power. Inspired from the EVO my ass. They just cramed a VRX badge on it and now its classified a "rally-car"...
  9. and secondly the rice police will bust yo ass... you need a wider car, new bonnet and god knows how many other parts... not worth it
  10. i agree with inark competely. The generalisation that all import drivers are "hoons" is incorrect and needs to change. Many skyline owners are responsible drivers, who like even normal people recieve the occasional speeding fine. A compulsory driver education course (funded by the gov't) is an excellent idea, allowing inexperienced drivers to identify thier driving limits. The biggest killer of young drivers is experience (the lack of) not speed. An experienced driver can handle extreme situations whereas an inexperienced may not... that is it difference which must be bridged
  11. 900,000 Yen... that over $11,000... thats more than the price of the whole car here in australia... lol
  12. very nice... what else are you planning to do? i dont see what else can be done.
  13. true dat yo ...
  14. dude, thats not kool, you gotta get your priorities striaght... car first THEN modifications. Unless you want to install em on your parents car?
  15. the only cure for your 2000rwkw addiction is to actually satisfy it. But then you might be left wanting more... MORE
  16. what does the station wagon pull out in a quarter??
  17. i remember hearing about a guy on this site would has done it, so it can be done but dunno of its difficulty and cost.
  18. judging buy the pics its possible that its been sitting outdoors and if that the case a rust check might be in order like Rezz suggested. On the plus side there doesnt appear to be any in the pics but you never know.
  19. what a total waste of money... you could probably buy a real GTR with that cash. I wouldnt be caught dead in a ricey car like that
  20. Yep, neons are illegal full stop. You can have then on your car but if a cop sees you with them on then you better hope he cant catch you
  21. the car would of been sitting somewhere for a long time. That engine bay has probably seen cleaner days and either the owner didnt care for it (unlikely) or since the smash its been sitting somewhere (most probable)
  22. that would be a picture for the trophy room... too bad
  23. 270 kilowatts stock is pretty good... itll find its way on the modifing market for sure
  24. who here actually drives an excel for a week just to get sky-high again? If your worried about getting addicted to "skylining" then choose a less addictive (and less costly) habit, such as Gambling, drinking or maybe become an adrenaline junkie and start skydiving (avoid the pun)
  25. thats nice... total sleeper. A friend of mine has an A4 (looks just like that one) but with a puny 1.8 under the bonnet. That engine could fool me
