Need a bit of help. I've been looking for the FM band expander that fits in the Nissan OEM stereo (double diversity plug) but no one seems to have it. The guys at Repco, Autobarn and Supercheap don't have them. I've looked at the Aerpro catalogue but cant find a FM band expander that accepts the OEM double diversity aerial plug and then plugs into the OEM stereo. There is an adapter but it only accepts the OEM (double diversity) aerial and the other end is the regular aerial bit. I've seen one on ebay but the frequency is only 14Mhz (I heard 18-20 Mhz would be best) Ebay Link .Any thoughts on this? Any one know where I can get a band expander that accepts the OEM (double diversity) aerial and plugs into the OEM stereo?

Yeah the second picture is off this website, not sure who it belongs to though. I was using it as an example of what I want. The facia from ebay is it colour matching the rest of the dash? The one on ebay looks light grey, there are no actual pictures of it jst a little cut away picture. I have pulled out my stereo before and its not too hard to do (my failed attempt at adding the fm band expander).

How hard is it to install a new unit? Would it be possible to modify the existing facia to take in a new head unit or is it a must to get the new facia. I'm just trying to see whats required in getting it done and if the new facia is merely cosmetic.

I don't think I have the bose version, I just want to play my cds and listen to aust radio channels. This is what I've got. I just want to get something like the below unit. Don't really care about the TV, just need a new unit. How hard is it to install a unit like the one below or something similar?

Any info on M35 stereo removal and replacement with a new better head unit.

I went to Nagoya but didn’t see what I wanted in terms of cars. Check them out and before you get a car make sure its inspected thoroughly. If you don’t mind me asking what dealer/ car are you going to see in Burwood? PM me if you dont to make it public. Dont really know anything about finance on a car like this. With your insurance, check out NRMA. I'm with them and they did a good price for me. I'm making a claim so will see how good they are. I guess if you want to lower your premiums choose a higher excess.

Will they work in a M35 Stagea, non bose?

Yeah speaking to NRMA and I'm not at fault so won't have any effect on my NCB and I wont have to pay the excess. I'm going to find out if what the process regarding the parts and what I can do.

I'm going to get the assesor to see what repairer they suggest. I'm trying to get this shit done right. The only thing is that it might take time for the parts required to show up and I really don't want to be car less for too long of a time. Zei20l thanks for the offer on the parts will keep it in mind. The car was hit on the left hand side so the taillight and bumper bar have taken the hit. When its taken in for assesment then will get a better idea.

2 Stageas spotted. A Silver RS on Cahill express way around lunch today and a Silver 350 (looked freakin' mint) parked opposite Artamon station, lunch time as well.

After 6 wonderful days of owing my Stagea already been had a bit of a bingle. Car was hit from the back while I was at a red light. I've got full comprehensive insurance and can so take the car to my choice of repairer. Any way tossing up between 2 repairers (that I found on the forum). Jack Hillermans in Artarmon OR California smash repairers in Botany. I've done the usual searches but only found 1 reference to the two. Talking to the two they say the same thing, they need to book the car in and get it assessed before they can give me a quote on time (going to be a long time for parts??). Speaking to NRMA they can either choose their own repairer or I can nominate one. So who to go to? Any suggestions on repairers?

Yeah I´m going to look for on today. The guys at supercheap and repco had no idea.

I've spoken to the guy did an inspection and car came up nice and clean. The only reason I didnt pick it up was something came up much closer to home. Bargain IMO. He did have more pics but not sure what happened.

Tried to install FM band expander but once had pulled the stereo out realised that the one I've got does not match the aerial plug for the stereo. Sumofabiitch.. Put it back together and I'e got 2 screws left over, not sure what for though. Damn.

Looks good. How do you access your a/c controls and the other controls?

Will check it out when I get home. The turbo doesn't sound too noisy. I've driven 4 M35's and mine sounds like them all in terms of turbo loudness.

Ahh gotcha, sorry to be a noob but where the hell is the banjo located. I've searched the forum and cant see any pics of what it looks like or how to.

Definelty needs MOAR low. Wasn't a fan of the whites in the rs,rx models but the axis in white looks better than the other models. I'm not sure what stereo as l'm already at work and didn't check. Hopefully just a quick fix. For the reversing camera trying to get that done ASAP . I can't seem to get access to slippylotions post but trying to sort something out. With the turbo ive been told they start to let go around 100k mark so I have some time to save for a new one.

So far the car is good. Just picked it up and drove straight home as I shit to do. Love the power.

After a long search I finaly got my Stagea. Been to nearly every dealer in Sydney and some private ones interstate (and spent a lot on car inspections fees). Some good and a lot bad, so without further ado here she is. Crappy mobile phone pics unfortunately. Things to do are get the radio to pick up Aust channels, reversing camera and after a month or so get the turbo built up. Shes needs a good detail and I´ll do an oil change in a few weeks.
