  1. opps forgot to add that important bit of info Talking about the front
  2. Hi Again Has anyone fitted a new HICAS steering rack into the rear of a R32 ? (it's a Hydrolic setup, unlike the Electric setup of the R33's onwards) My question is, after fitting a new one, do you have to bleed it somehow after putting in the fluid? and if so how? eg. if you fit a new front rack you have to turn the steering wheel side to side until you get all the air out of the system... So do I have to do something similar with a new rear rack.. like put the HICAS into DIAG mode and turn the wheel side to side?? any clues?? thanks James
  3. Hi All Has anyone else had problems with the lock nuts coming loose on the Adjustable Upper Control Arms that JMS sell (for the front of a R32 )? The inner locknuts on mine keep coming loose... it's happened twice now and I have only had them fitted for a week !! Has anyone else got a set of them fitted? thanks James
  4. I have had bad experiences with them... If you do insure with them you aren't forced to go to their repair shop - though when you ring up to make a claim they will make you think that this is the case... Just make sure you get other quotes from other beaters first.. before you go to them - especially if you think they might be going to write off your car!! If you think they will write off your car - once they come to a figure you will have little recource but to accept it - but if you have quotes on it you might just have a chance to beat them at their own game... eg. - my wifes car was written off by them - But while deciding if they were going to write it off or repair it they were working an figures of 80% of $4200 (this means that if the repair costs came in at over 80% of $4200 then its a wite off) It did come back with over 80% repair cost - so was written off - But when it was handed over to the next department they tried to pay out at around $1200 odd !!! So they were willing to spend up to $3360 (80% of 4200) to repair it but only wanted to pay out at $1200 for a write off !!! stuff that. They didn't get away with it I am proud to say But it wasn't easy and took a lot of calls (and someone on the inside So make your life easier - get other repair quotes first - it's your right make sure you exercise it.
  5. I was told that Nissan only started using self learning computers from the R33 onwards...? If so then the ECU reset thing won't do anything for a R32 Can anyone confirm this??
  6. That sounds like retail prices... They are cheaper if you can get a trade order.. It's been about 2 years since I was down there... their Mulgrave store use to have a wall display with all the available types of bends stuck up on it...
  7. H.I.S. Hose have all the silicon stuff - straight and Bends - In a few colours too from memory... This is one of the places that some of the turbo shops buy the stuff from.. 158 wellington Road Clayton Ph 9560 9222 or 405 Francis Street Brooklyn Ph 9314 2255 I would have thought that the biggest problem with using Rubber Radiator hose is not bursting - but bulging - they would expand with boost... especially when they get hot? James
  8. Ah... the 2 door... na.. sorry With only about 5 of them in Australia that thing is almost worth more to me than the GTR... It's one of those "long term projects" it's a bare shell at the moment.... just waiting to finish off some other projects that are taking up the garage space.. then I will get to it... I've got an FJ20DET and a whole bunch of other goodies ready to stuff in it when I get the time... When I am finshed with it it should beat my GTR in a straight line... and probably around corners too.. that's if I can get traction Some pics of it before I stripped it are here:- http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/featureca.../510_2door.html James
  9. wish you did.. I felt a little out numbered being the only R32... Good to meet all you guys... hope to make to to the next one.. hopefully my car will have the cam wheels dialed in and been dynoed by then so I will really be be able to thrash it James
