  1. The events committee has decided to postpone another official event/cruise until next year, mainly because of time restraints organising the event insurance, notice to venues etc. The SAUNSW President has also posted this on the clubs facebook page. Howdy guys and gals! As I’m sure you’re all aware, NSW has been ravaged by severe bushfires these past few weeks. Sad to say, even our favourite Putty Road has not escaped unpunished. We’ve tried to hold out as long as possible before making a final call on our Putty Road cruise scheduled for this Sunday. Regretfully, as the whole of Putty Road is still closed, and with the fires now nearing Singleton, we’ve had no other choice but to cancel our cruise. What makes this situation worse is that we have been unable to follow through with our back-up plans too, as even they’ve been affected by the fires! While this isn’t the way we were hoping to close out the year, it’s the best way to make sure you all remain safe, given the circumstances! Don’t worry though, we will definitely be back in 2020! Until then, we hope you all have a fantastic holiday! We’ll see you all on the other side! Cheers! SAU NSW President
  2. ATTENTION MEMBERS A Message from the SAUNSW President. Ladies and gentlemen, if I can have your attention please.... While sad, this is something important to us! It’s with great sadness that I report that the committee and I have agreed to cancel everyone’s favourite Putty Road cruise next week... For obvious reasons, the bushfires have affected the whole Putty area, with the whole of Putty Road being closed.. Many of you have messaged me about this, and have been asking if there’s a ‘Plan B’. We’ve had a few ideas, but because the fires are widespread, our plans keep going up in smoke (no pun intended)... The team and I recognise that many of you would still like to have an event of some sort, even if it’s something local! So, I’d like to open up the stage to your suggestions! Don’t be scared, no suggestion is too stupid... You never know, your suggestion might start up a new favourite event for us all?? So please drop it in the comments section below! If you like someone else’s suggestion, please also like their comment! Get creative gang! It’s time for a serious team effort!
  3. They are expecting it to be closed for up to 2 weeks. According to the Live Traffic NSW website.
  4. Yes, Putty Rd is currently closed due to the bush fires. The committee are monitoring and will advise if anything changes.

Link: https://www.facebook.com/events/587058158370046/ In 1989 the first R32 GTR hit the streets. In 1991 and 1992 it dominated Bathurst, earning itself the name "Godzilla". Three decades later, and the R32 is still one of the most notorious, menacing, and iconic cars in history - 2019 marks the 30th Anniversary of the R32 GTR! Skylines Australia NSW are pleased to announce, in conjunction with our naming sponsors, Shannons Insurance, that we will be hosting a 30th Anniversary event, which we welcome you all to join! Is your ride worthy enough to earn you some bragging rights? To anyone wanting to spectate, we haven't forgotten about you. There will plenty to see and do between the food trucks, music, Bathurst footage of the R32 GTR dominating the track, as well as a few special guest cars and a heritage display! The best part is that spectating is FREE! There's even talk of a few goodies being up for grabs?
  11. As some of you may know we lost one of our SAU NSW family members David Hennessy last month so as this cruise also falls the day before his birthday we will be dedicating this cruise in his honour. One of David’s legacies that he had built just before his passing with his best mate Pat Elliott is their VX Holden Commodore sporting a turbo LS1. We are honoured to have David & Pat’s FCNCER car along with David’s wife Anneke and a few of his close friends as special guests on this cruise to raise awareness and celebrate his life. And to give back to the people from the MacArthur Cancer Foundation that have helped David and his family, we’ll be raffling off 3 x Nulon & SAU NSW prize packs to help raise money that will be donated to the MacArthur Cancer Therapy Centre. Tickets can be purchased at our first 2 meeting points and the raffle will be drawn at our final destination. Tickets will be sold for 1 for $2 or 3 for $5.

  15. I've seen a few people use a tow strap for the front. It looks like a seat belt type material.
  16. We still have plenty of spots, we are at about the 1/2 way mark.
  17. I will have 5 put to the side. When they pay for their entry, let me know and I'll then allocate a day licence to each name. That way the sign on desk, will know on the day.
  18. We can supply a day licence. Could you please let us know how many you would require (even if it is a max amount) before this Friday 20/4. This is because we need to ensure we have enough available.
  19. I'll need to find that out for you, from the club executive in charge of that department. I will follow that up and get back to you with a reply.
  20. Information change on 1st post. Because CAMS is more accepted at venues, the committee has changed the licence requirements to CAMS LS2 or higher.
