  5. please delete this multiple post
  6. as title says, looking for a set of genuine 18" AVS Model 5 rims to suit R34 PM or email to someone_who_cares_945 (at) yahoo.com
  7. quick question do the R34 GTR rims fit the GTT wiithout the need to roll the guards? and what tyre width do u guys have at the front and rear? thanks
  8. i've just simply ignored my flashing airbag light for the past 2.5yrs but how do u reset with the door jam switch???
  9. this leaves absolutely no room for anything in the boot, but its a cool setup.... the sub enclosure is also completely moulded into the spare wheel well but due to lack of boot space and lack of spare wheel, i have removed this enclosure and is sitting in my garage. so if anyone wants the enclosure, PM me and we can discuss pick up and price etc
  10. firstly, i just wanna say that i've already searched extensively through all the old threads and cannot find a definitive answer. about 18 months ago, my car battery died and i replaced it. since that time, my factory option Sat Nav screen and Sat Nav unit does not work. i know that the Sat Nav doesnt work in Aus at all - but i used to be able to use it as my CD player. now, everytime i start my car, the stooooopid screen pops up with an error message in japanese (reading: please insert program disc). 1st question: is there a Sat Nav program disc ANYWHERE in Aust?? 2nd question: has anyone been able to re-activate their standard Sat Nav unit?? i know there has been alot of discussions and alot of other ppl feeling my frustrations. but trawling thru all the previous threads, there seems to be alot of "maybe" and "try this". but there doesnt seem to be any follow-up to confirm if the Sat Nav unit can/cant be resuscitated is anyone able to tell me with a 100% certainty either way?? thanks!
  11. yep, car was off the road for a whole week. well... MV Auto shift kit (incl shipping to and from Adelaide) $384 "Davies Craig" oil cooler $117 J&P Auto's - Remove/replace valve body, service of transmission (incl flush oil, new filter + gasket), and fitting the oil cooler $346 as mentioned above, check the other section of the forums as this has been discussed in alot of detail - but definitely get the service done aswell, and if u wanna play it safe get an oil cooler for the transmission oil aswell.
  12. i had my valve body modified by MV auto aswell. i took my car to J&P Clayton Automatics where they removed, packed and shipped the unit to adelaide. and then MV shipped it back to J&P to have refitted to my car. total turnaround was exactly a week. the guys at J&P were pretty good. i'd definitely go back there again if i needed anything.... so give them a try. 29 Garden Rd, Clayton. 13. freddy may take a while, but he makes some good stuff. i got him to make a CF bonnet for my car (which took aaaages, but thats due to unforseen issues that he ran into, and then I had quite a few dramas aswell, so wasnt entirely his fault). but i picked up my bonnet over the weekend, and the quality of his workmanship was perfect. i had a few specific requests for my bonnet, and he made it up to my specs. being a GTO, he will definitely need ur bonnet to make the mould which may take a whole week (maybe more depending how busy he is). anyway, good luck!
  14. no offence, but thats a strange combination. cos thats a cwest front bumper, bomex side skirts and bomex rear bumper. thats a combination of my old kit mixed with my current kit! haha
  15. dodgey.... u're not just waiting for ur clutch to be installed!!! so wot r u driving at the moment? cos ur other car is still getting fixed right?
  16. is that u alan?? or someone else?
  17. cruise sounds good. whether i can make it will be another matter as i work regularly on the weekends.
  18. 800/1200.... shit.... 1200 also sounds familiar now too. but i got a good deal overall. i seriously considered the path of full respray; but u have to either decide to do a proper respray or a half-assed approach. proper method is to remove ALL windows - which means most of the rubber seals will need to be replaced which costs $several hundreds alone plus the possible risk of the windows being cracked in the process of removal. the annoying part is that the panel shops wont take responsibility if the windows crack when being taken out; and therefore u have to pay for the windows to be replaced if it happens. the half-assed way is simpler; much cheaper; but u wont get a clean edge near the window seals. LOL @ gaffa tape! sad to say that i did the same thing at one stage too!!! btw, u got PM with more details.
  19. i got my car done at 'Imperial Smash Repairs' in springvale. they did a pretty good job. i got my old kit removed and a new cwest kit fitted and sprayed at the same time - so im not sure how much it would cost to get the rear quarter panels done alone. but from memory it was around the $800 purely for the rear qtr panels as they have the respray the whole rear panel which extends up to the roof. they blended the spray job at the ridge of the roof line - so a fair bit of spraying was involved too. as i said previously... its a bitch of a job to do!! heres a couple more pics: before.... after....
  20. but we all know u want to pay more than that! haha i got 'HOTR34' plates. u want them? let me know i also had the altia/nismo rear spoiler. it was a bitch to remove. quite costly as the holes had to be lead-filled, welded, smoothed, and then resprayed. the cheaper option was to simply putty-fill the holes and spray, but thats a little dodgy.
  21. hey matt i still have the plates - want them? C'mon.... u know u want them!!!! unfortunately my car is very easy to distinguish at the moment - its riding at about 3cm higher than standard. looks like a stupid 4wd
  22. yes, cops, vicroads, epa and centrelink all there. unfortunately i got screwed over again by them!!! on the opposite side of the road was a white S15 with black rims - he also looked like he was getting screwed over as bad as i was too! STAY AWAY EVERYONE!
  23. im getting my valve body assembly modified right now by Mike @ MV Auto. he's been very easy to deal with, and has been a great help with any of my stupid questions too. but best part is that he's called me to update and discuss whats going on - which is helpful as im in melbourne, and my car is off the road for this week while they modify it for me. as everyone else has said in this thread, Mike has been great!
