-
hahaha yeah mate, i was the first to buy a skyline in town - shortly after a mate of mine bought a maroon 33 and now another mate has copied again and bought a yellow 33 - 3 of us now mofo's stealing my thunder... and yeah i know a few ginns etc - but i'm sure there was 2 families lost my licence for 6 months last week so dobt you'll see my car around there NOTE: do not drive through a rail crossing until ALL the lights have stopped - the main red lights had stopped but little ones on the boom (that was raised fully) had kept going - **** of a cop fined me 45 bucks and 3 points......
-
ahh, didn't even know he had a sis - she must be older small world
-
i know some ginns but there ar elike 2 family's here not related i know a school teacher and her son cameron - he's about 24-25 now i guess
-
**** 1200 aint too bad i can get all the parts for about 550 so comes in well under 2k mind if i ask who did it for you mate and how long it took?
-
ok sounds good mate, find out and let me kow some prices - he wants more low end power as it is a auto so doesn't rev all that high unless in 2nd etc
-
well as long as the flange is the right size i think we can deal with doing some braded line work what kind of PSI are we talking about insode the oil/water lines? also i don't know much about turbo's mate - when you say 0.82 A/R that means? as long as it bolts on fine - i'm confident we can get the line work done
-
yeah i been there - apparently the guy who started it is the brother of a fella i work with havn't posted there though
-
same flange etc i mean - what would the standard one high flowed be rated at?
-
wonder how they managed to get no shavings in the sump etc if you don't mind me asking how much was it - how long it take em?
-
damn, i assumed so - you get that done professionaly? you would have had to remove motor during the process? helping a mate remove his blown turbo on his 33 the other day if the holes where there i reckon it'd be a fairly simple process and wouldn't even need to remove the motor...
-
dan - you need to make holes etc in your block etc etc for water/oil lines? or are they present but plugged?
-
mate is very keen for a turbo capable of approx 18-20 PSI and around 300rwkw must bolt direct to R33 - and minimal line changes
-
thats not true mate ^^^ according to: http://www.motortraders.net.au/imports/sel...yline&period=79

ok, thanks mate

hey guys, quick story: r33 was smoking a shitload when coming off boost while drivinbg (white smoke) we had a look, took it for a test drive - stopped smoking - suddenly no boost also - the Boost gauge still rises but just feels like my NA - nothign there we look under bonnet and oil has been coming frm the wastegate actuator along that hose into the turbosmart cheap-o boost controller then through that into the other side hose that runs to the intake some oil was escaping form the little hole in the controller also and spraying a bit no noise etc - just wont boost....seems to run ok safe to drive at present? what would happen if removed the controller - then blocked both of those hoses (to the intake and to the actuator - would this make is better to drive? he needs to probably drive about 300 km's total - not realy thrashing it etc - just needs his car NOW and can't get turbo for about a month...

well i emailed partsco on the 1st - still waititng for a reply -

i will answer questions for him as best i can: As much HP for a tiny budget - doesn't have to be real crazy Street use mainly Boost aroun 2500-3k Power Early in revs blitz FMIC/3" exhaust, POD, boost controller R33 series 1 Big BLITZ FMIC Stock ECU/AFM setup Custom dumps - 3" cat back Main thing right now is he wants one that is almost exactly the same as stock 33 one - so just bolt on, attach current lines and away he drives.. No real budget right now - get me some prices on cheaper ones and expensive ones too - around the 1k mark Not after massive power figures - just bigger than stock
-
how much for one around the 450 HP mark - bolt onto a 33???? my mates stock one just went the other day and needs one fast
-
how much tim?
-
none
-
as long as you run
-
yes they do...

there is a reason why the gtsts's have 5 stud - more power at the wheels.....better brakes etc...
