  1. Not that im doing it, but the car went in to East Coast for the second round of performance mods for cermaic coated headers, 2" down pipes, custom Y pipe with High Flow cat and another retune. Hoping for some nice gains along with some extra meaty zorstness.
  2. I had a similar issue to this a while back, went to take off from the lights a few times then BAM! Felt like the engine died, hazards went on... fail. I checked a few things similar to what was suggested, disconnected the battery, reconnected, seemed to work fine after that :S Not sure if it was 100% the same however.
  3. This is essentially identical to mine. It fit well, im just lucky I had a decent panel guy to sort it out. The material was sturdy, the fitment, like all other aftermarket body parts wasnt 100%, but its pretty close, and I dont even notice it anymore. Just used 4 tech screws and some sickaflex (note, this stuff will almost guaranteed not come off afterwards)
  4. Thats a picture of an aftermarket Polyu. lip. Added a bit of niceness to the front, without sacrficing extra lowness at the front. (Car is also on coilovers) does scrape on some places, however, if youre careful it doesnt.
  5. Yeah i guess it comes down to how you feel. I agree with Tony, however on the other hand (i guess an almost extreme) If you bounce around all the different retailers/mechanics (which I understand you arent doing) trying to get the best price possible, through FB and word of mouth, reputations may be made and service may be jacked up for you etc cause youre "that guy with said car" I am sticking with who I know, because in the long run, they will help you out and appreciate your business (if they are a bit more customer service orientated) and in saying that, honesty once again as Tony said could possible help you if youre up front. Rock/hard place situation I guess. You want the cheapest price and the mech/retailer wants your business/moneys.
  6. Hahaha, okay mate will do, ive been on the down low for a little bit on holidays. Yeah northside mate.
  7. Wasnt me sorry Tony, Havent driven the past 2 days.
  8. Saw a hot black coupe after I was leaving the Sunny coast this evening. He flashed, he waved, I waved. All was good.
  9. Yeah, half a tank the past couple days has seen roughly 370-380km's while getting a tiny bit throttle happy (majority was highway) Im really surprised to say the least :S
  10. After reflashing with the Uprev software, my first full fill up on 98 till now was 790kms. Not even kidding. Will be interesting to see if this can happen again... :S
  11. So worth it hey. Couldnt believe the improvement in torque and response.
  12. I have to get mine sprayed soon due to changing the rotors... leave my dad for one minute and big chunk of paint is off the fron caliper... Massive fan of the candy blue. However, mine are going the purple with white decal. How much do they ballpark for?
  13. Thanks mate, im stoked. I got it as a discounted rate as I was informed that I was the first customer to use their UpRev software. I think they have a couple more spots left for a $500 rate, then it will go up to the normal rate which is 990 i think.
  14. I have them in mine. Best investment ive made yet. Makes the car feel so good. I take it to the track every so often and I have had no issues what so ever. You will not regret the purchase
  15. Dyno chart results. Gains through the whole range. When I go back to the missus Ill take a snap of the 179rwkw chart
  16. Apologies for the late reply everyone. Car is now running sooo amazing. Started of running around the 150rwkw (running really rich, and was fixed by a MAF clean) Base line was then achieved of 161.8rwkw. After this then tuned for 3rd and 4th gear (being 6MT) Dyno charts show the improvements. Overall the final chart showed gains of up to 50nm of torque (main aim) and 10-15rwkw) So after working it out I saw 10% power increase and 15% torque gain. All I have done so far is a Takeda Short Ram intake, and a custom "catback" with a hotdog resonator through to twin outlets (with small mufflers). Soon to come will be pulleys, plenum spacer, ceramic coated headers new custom high flow cats and Y pipe and eventually some BC high lift cams. Took it for a spin up Nebo and Glorious today, even in the mid 30's it pulled sooo much better and the throttle response has improved immensely. All in all. 10/10 for customer service through ECC and definitely worth every cent. Vid of the run.
  17. Car is currently at East Coast Customs getting an UpRev reflash. Will post dyno chart this afternoon. Pretty keen to see before and after.
  18. Was sitting on the Train over to South Brisbane, saw a White coupe with gold rims on the ICB heading Toowong way.
  19. I did heaps of research on this topic as I was keen on doing it, went in to a couple workshops and discussed everything. Seems either can be done, but its a give or take (someone with experience can hopefully chime in) as the VQ's werent built for FI. I would go S/C on stock internals and T/C on forged internals. From what Ive seen though, 400rwhp is really pushing it on stock rods (once again someone with experience can hopefully confirm this) Really depends how deep your pockets are and how far you want to push it. My opinion is S/C. But both can be done.
  20. Probably an XR5 Turbs or a newer model MPS. Wouldnt be for a few years yet, who knows what will happen between now and then, im still in love with my V
  21. Hahaha, nice. Nah not this time, Ive got prior engagements. Next time I should be there
  22. That was me. Hahaha, I was like a 4 door!
  23. Full matte black is hot. Orange looks awesome too, would be unique
  24. Not if you know who to go to.
