the inlet im talking about is the actual piece you put the petrol nozel in when you fill up...the part that the cap screws onto. as for the smell...err..im not the best person to ask there:o

are you sure its your cap...in my car they used silican to seel the new inlet when compliancing...fuel eats silican!

lol come to think of it...my whole car needs an upgrade! but i cant hurt my baby(well...not deliberatly)

the place where i bought my car has done a number of dodgy things while compliancing it...using silican on the fuel cap is one of them...after the fuel ate the silican away, the inlet peice is now loose and i could probably pull it out if i try. my car hisses when it is warm or if i have been driving for a while. i was told that it shouldnt do that, that there should be a little hole somewhere as a release. is this right? what to do? i was told seleys needit would stop the leak...but it sounds like i need to make another leak!!!!?

available from any decent import shop...errr, i dont know any!An Infiniti throttle body will fit if i can find one...so im guessing they're hard to find. where do i look/go and how much is it going to sting my wallet? how long would it take for a pro to install? im guessing it would be easier if i got a FMIC to put on at the same time?

where did you get the plenum from? and for how much?

no sh!t!! hmmm..ok, another question: ive seen black FMIC's, in theroy they should do the job better because it would disperse the heat better...true or false?

so making the air a lot cooler isnt going to make much diference then? also...um, another dumb question...FMIC, intercooler? whats the FM for?

im just podering about something here guys, i hope you can help me out! cold air makes your car go faster/more power...right? well, whats stoping me from rigging up the air con to cool the air going into the engine? or am i missing something really obvious (which makes me look retarded)? i know that it runs off the engine in the first place but it would chill the air well, and i would sacrafice 2% of power to get 10% more (as you know i just made up those figures!) any input on this would be great!

hey i was wondering...how much are the plenums that go straight to the front of the engine instead of going across the top? how much, where from, and is it worth it? im wanting a cooler soon, so i was thinking of changing the plenum first...if it was worth the trouble? do people sell them second hand, if so, how much and again, where from...here?

hmmm...good point, coz the inlet thing has to be replaced when complianced, right? when i drive for a while , especially during the day, i notice a hissing sound from air leaking. also i notice fuel has been dribbling down the side of my car! the thing that has me stuffed is, if the air is being sucked into the tank, then why is there fuel coming out of it...even when it is close to empty? so my next question is...is it the cap? will replacing it stop the leaking, or is it the inlet? i have no idea how a feul tank and fuel pump works, and to me is sounds flawed if it has all this sucking pressure with a cap that is suppose to be sealed? would mine be sucking fuel easier because of this? is this msg too long? are my ramblings making any sence? or is it because ive been up for 24 hours??? probably. i dunno, im going ta bed

well i didnt know if those places sold them:( i would prefer one from a skyline but im easy...as long as it does its job properly...i dont mind spending money, but getting ripped is really starting to frustrate me...thats why you guys are here to double check with;)
