  2. ok thanks...i'll try needit first, fingers crssed. it just pissed me off when i went out side and could clearly see my fuel evaporating in the sun
  3. lol yea...couldnt move the feathers...too busy rearranging my studded leather g-string ...grrrrrr:bahaha:
  4. i know i've asked this before, but i didnt get a good answer!....my fuel inlet (the part that you put the nozzel in when you fill up) is loose, it almost falls out! my questions are : 1. what is the best way to seel it up? that "needit" stuff? or some thing else? 2. should there be some sort of "pressure release" in the tanks system...ie. when i use a full tank of fuel, is there air going into the tank? or does the pressure build up inside and makes the fuel pumps work overtime? does anyone here know or am i wasting my time...please help!
  5. for starters...sounds like you talk to autobarn people too much...the only time they should speak is when you ask for a price...thats it...they try to put accross the image they know lots but they dont...(learnt from experience, and no, im not happy with them) if this guy wasnt from there, well, he still doesnt know much and shouldnt be giving advice. my 2 cents.. i recommend an oddessy. it did me well - 2 10's, 2amps, 2 sets of splits (all average power ratings) and it showed no sign of power loss ie. lights dimming while running. just make sure you use good wires/cables and connect everything well...solder the wires, dont just twist them. basically in stereo terms, you get what you pay for, just shop around to make sure you arnt getting ripped! optima's are very good, but maybe over kill for your system (your own choice) as long as your alternator is in healthy condition!
  6. or even a mp3 stacker...either way, its worth it
  7. was going to say...run the rca's down one side and power down the other... /me kicks himself in the bum...should no better when i own a r33 aswell!
  8. i mite show up at albert, but prob wont go for the cruize...gotta save fuel (and no inasnt...im not coming just to see the pole dancing)
  9. hey brendan, you look different with a leather hat on! (not as good as the leather mask tho) happy b'day:p
  10. lol:lol: i feel very confident in my car...if someone is following me, i pull over and wait till they drive past or stop. then i follow them. if it looks like trouble, i generally have enough "up n go" to loose them
  11. try ice peformance...last time i was talking to them they said something about a kit to disable it
  12. lol like sumo said...silastic does the trick. when you screw the sub into the box, try not to undo the screws again, it loosens their "seal". the way i test is when the sub is in, i push gently on the sub's cone (not the dust cap:eek: ) evenly, if its sealed, it wont move much. if it has a leak, it will slowly go in. its kinda hard to explain, but dats what i do!
  13. 2% was just just a "ball park" figure...i guess my point is - if i could rig up something that the air con can run off an alternate power sorce, ie. batteries, would the performance be noticable, would it be a big gain or not much at all...im guessing it would be healthy for the engine aswell
  14. mine seals alright with the top part...but that part isnt sealed that causes the problems!
  15. hmmm...insurance is bad enough already! might wait till i got more mulla!
  16. i think your after the little plug for the antena? i got mine from garys car audio(i think) for about $15 it just plugs into the old one
  17. to starr with...amps are designed to run when the car is running...ie. 14.something volts, not 12! so running it when the car is turned off isnt that good. but ive found if the amps arnt staining for power (not enough power for the speakers) it doesnt do much harm (well, noticably) if you are only going to be running a set of splits and only 1 sub, i wouldnt worry about a capacitor, just upgrade your battery perhaps. amp wise, a 4 channel amp would do the trick...2 for the fronts and bridge the other 2 for the sub. alternativly, you could get another 2 channel amp, depending on where you are going to mount them and how much room you want left. remember, amps are generally designed to get rid of the heat when they are sitting normally...so if you mount it upsidedown and its being put to its full potential, you might have an over heating problem and then bye bye amp! hope this helps, hope i didnt sipn too much crap!
  18. i wouldnt worry with that...just make sure its sealed air tight (i mean real tight) for best results...that is if your box is going to be sealed!
  19. thanks for the help....looks like i gotta start doing some more overtime!
  20. im no mechanic, but...id check the fuel filter...some of the crap that is our fuel these days:mad:
  21. ...and thats all i need for the plenum upgrade?
  22. ok thanks, i had better start looking. whats a reasonable price for the infinity? (so i dont get ripped[again])
  23. but isnt that putting pressure on the fuel pump?
  24. it the piece that you put the nozel in, the part that you can see when you pop the fuel tank poper! (the part that the cap srews onto!) id take a pic but i have no digi cam:(
